Powerwheels RC Conversion

This is a mod of a powerwheels jeep to rc. I am using the high torque servo with gearbox for the steering and the standard servos to control the shifter and foot pedal. I installed duplicate shifter and foot pedal switches in space in front of the battery box and wired it so I can unplug the rc stuff to make it run as intended when my kids want to drive on their own.

Hoping to play out there with my TI in a week or so. There will be 2 of us one grey with the red sail and one yellow (mine) with the custom yellow spinnaker. Maybe we’ll catch you… 😊
nice job. about to embark on a similar project on a Grand Banks 42. How many hours did it take to install?
Way too many. I worked on it over several weekends so I am not sure how many actual hours but I am sure a professional could have done it in one day.

Yes, they are transfer board and I found them on amazon. One note of caution... I ordered them in red but they shipped yellow, this seems to happen to a lot of people that ordered these same boards.
Can you tell me where did you buy the Spray Skirts? I bought them from KayakBob but he's retired now.

What type of rail mount is that on your aka on the port side? Its the mount your pulley is mounted on (marker 2:15). Will that mount fit the bar behind the front seat. I’m looking for one exactly the same for a fish finder and fishing rods. Great setup you got there by the way. I’ve had my tandem island right when the pandemic started and love it. Happy sailing.

Did they ever fix the front hatch leak on the newer models? and where did you get those seat pockets?
I found the bag so just wondering about that front hatch issue. TY
I did not have any issues with the front hatch taking on water. The seat bags are from hobie.

What steering servo is that? Most of these conversions use an expensive linear actuator - would love to use a servo instead!

Did you use a separate power supply for the servo? If not, how did you wire the battery to the real electric motor and servo at the front? Thanks :D

Can you point me in the right direction on servos. Want to do this with my daughters power wheel. Do you know how much torque I'm gong to need? Also what kind of controller would be good for it ( channels for the controller etc) thanks. Awesome job!!
