That’s an interesting question. No I don’t think you should just break up. You need to ask yourself some questions to understand why exactly you are losing interest… has the person changed? If so why… have you changed? If so in what way, and does that make you both incompatible now or does it just mean you have to get to know each other better/again? Orrr have you both stopped doing fun things together? You have to remember that there will almost always be butterflies when it comes to dating someone new, but if you’ve been with a person for a long time, it takes more to feel that excitement. My advice would be to have fun together. Plan and be intentional about dating each other. Adopt fun new hobbies together. If after a long period of trying you still feel a lack of interest for that person then maybe it may be time to question the relationship. But what I would say is that love isn’t necessarily a feeling. Love is loyalty and faithfulness, in my opinion.

@@lucillekingg nevertheless every relationship should make us a better person and teach us how to be the person you aspire to be. I don't regret those 7 years, they were great, but our ways grew apart when it came to the next step, marriage. It is important to remember your own personal goals in those moments and weight what is important for you personally vs what is important for your partner. At the end of the day, I didn't want to make him unhappy too, entering a stage of life, he wasn't ready for. Thank you for your video! Awww i love this! It shows you are growing and that you ARE trying. I completely understand you when you say you ‘glitch’ when it’s time to take accountability in your relationship. I think it’s the same for me because that’s where I’m most comfortable and sometimes being comfortable breeds complacency. Yes it really is inspiring when partners take accountability, it’s something we can learn from. I can relate so much! Sometimes it pains me when I realise I haven’t been perfect and at times I feel I will be loved less if I’m not but I’m learning that there’s no such thing as perfection and that my man will love me regardless of my flaws.
