96 HOURS IN AUCKLAND VLOG
Here's a little vlog of my friend Maddie and I exploring Auckland, New Zealand over a long weekend. Although our trip was short, we had a fantastic time and are excited to go back and visit more of beautiful New Zealand.
We made sure to visit as many sights as possible during our stay such as going up the sky tower, walking around the city (although there was a large protest in the CBD making it unsafe to explore too much on the Saturday, a trip to the stunning Waiheke Island to go on a wine tour and more. The main reason we visited Auckland was for my friend Maddie to get a tattoo of a talented tattoo artist she had been following on instagram for years.
I hope you enjoy the video! :)

A WEEK SKIING IN PERISHER JULY 2024 VLOG

Join my Dad and I on our annual ski trip to Perisher Valley in NSW Australia. The ski season in Australia has had a poor start but we were lucky enough to have fantastic snow and great sunny conditions throughout our trip. We stayed at the Man From Snowy River Hotel as usual and had the most incredible time thanks to the amazing staff who looked after us. I can't recommend it enough! This is ho...

This is Perisher's main ski run and lift. Since it was mid week, the crowds were non existent and we could ski straight onto the lift most of the day. Hope you enjoy the video! :)
Terminal Quad Ski Run Blue Cow July 2024

The Terminal Quad Chairlift is the main lift to return you to Skitube in Blue Cow. The run isn't a bad beginners run. I filmed this on the 3rd of July 2024. Hope you enjoy the video :)
Zali's Ski Run Blue Cow Perisher 2024

Captured early morning on the 2nd of July 2024. The queues in Blue Cow so far have been almost non existent except for the ridge quad chair. The snow condition on Zali's was actually really good for once. I often find it can be icy, especially in the morning since its in the shade in the morning. Hope you enjoy the video :)
Skiing Pleasant Valley Blue Cow Perisher 2nd July 2024
Просмотров 1 тыс.21 день назад
Pleasant Valley in Blue Cow (Perisher) is a fantastic beginners area and a fun cruisy, long run. This was the first day the run was open this year and since its early season, the coverage down lower isn't amazing. There aren't usually so many rocks around. Because pleasant valley is so high, there is no snow making but the snow quality was really good! Hope you enjoy the video :) Let me know in...
Skiing Snake Trails And Pretty Valley Perisher 1st July 2024
Просмотров 49621 день назад
I believe this was the first day pretty valley double chair was opened for the season. The first part of the run (snake trails) is in great condition but the lower section in pretty valley had only a thin cover. As we all know pretty valley double chair is so slow so I sped that part of the video up 8 times! Hope you enjoy the video :)

I’m a new cook this looks like rocket science 🧪
Haha it’s all simple I promise. The more you cook the better you’ll get!
this looks so good
Thanks! 😊
Absolutly beautiful. This is what I was looking for. I wish I could have your plans. Congratulations
Thanks ☺️
Yummy 😋
True
Thanks 😊
hi john is the snow good at the moment because im thinking about going or not?
Hey. I’m not sure about right now since I’m not there at the moment but I believe it snowed a lot a few days ago and more is expected this week.
I think that's a soba noodle but thanks for this.
Haha yes it is soba noodles. I like them more than ramen noodles. You can use whichever you like
Hey John, do you mind sharing which bus service did you choose from the airport to Mt Buller?
We went with Snow Bus. They either pick you up from the airport or Melbourne cbd and take you up to the village square in mt Buller.
yo i hope i see yiu there on monday
Hope it’s good! I hear there’s a lot of snow coming. I’m hoping to head back up in a couple of weeks
Great video! I don’t feel very comfortable skiing on blues yet. But I should try this late July.
Yes give it a go! The runs aren’t too busy and are fairly wide and not too steep in Guthega.
Nice 👍
Thanks ✌
Wait.... Snow there in JULY??! or just your Post date
yep snow in july, I went there 2 days ago
Yeah theres usually snow here in July it’s coming into peak ski season
This is My Favorite Place To Ski As I Go Every Year 3-5 Times. I WAN'T TO GO SOOOOO BAD!!!!
That’s great! Are you going soon?
Do you think you'll ever do a working holiday in Canada? Seems like something right up your alley.
I’ve not really thought about that. I’ve thought about doing it in Australia. I went skiing in Canada in 2020 just before Covid and I loved it. I’d like to at least visit again one day
@@JohnDeMartin It's a big sacrifice in terms of being away from friends / family, and pausing a career. But I've personally found life a bit boring and repetitive now that I've returned to Australia. You've got plenty of time to consider it. Maybe a winter season in Australia could be a good trial run.
I’m there now! I can’t wait to go on these runs
That’s exciting. Enjoy them! Hopefully the snow is still good
@@JohnDeMartin thanks! It’s looking like it might rain 😬
Oh no that’s not good! Hopefully it’ll turn to snow 😬😬
@@JohnDeMartin I hope so!
what a great and accurate description of the trail and the conditions; and footage that focussed on them too
Thanks. I’m glad you liked it! 😊
Now that’s an oasis! 😍
Thanks! 😊
you finnally posted in 2023 perisher i am coming down ina. week
Have fun! The snows good
I’m so glad that the snow is good!
If only most beginners on Front Valley were "the one at the sail, the masters of my sea"
Yay! I’m glad that this season is starting to look good! I can’t wait to go!
It’s been so good this week! Sunny each day and cold so good quality snow
@@JohnDeMartin yay I can’t wait!
Amazing video!! I’m going soon and I’m so excited!!
Thank you!
Thanks! 😊
How long do you think that chairlift takes?
I think it’s about 3 and a half minutes
I live in the USA Zone 8 a. Do you have an idea why some leaves get burned? Is it the fertilizer or the sun?
very good, very nice! underrated vid
Thank you!
i love perisher and great editing what do you edit on
Thanks! I use Final Cut Pro
I’m amazed that the snow stayed until September that season! I came back in late September and there was still snow everywhere!
Yeah considering how poor the conditions were there was still a fair bit of snow around
@@JohnDeMartin exactly! Although I must say that 2023 and 2024 really have been the worst conditions yet!
What are the ingredients the screen cuts off the words to your recipe
Didn't see those pipes getting flushed out, pass on this Septic pool.
That’s what a filter and chlorine are for. You run it for a couple of days before you hop in 👍🏻
jeez they need to fix this run. such a narrow pass even though it's a popular run. if everyone crowds up it'll be a big issue
Yeah it’s dangerous and tight at the bottom of this run and everyone tries to overtake each other
Why does it seem so steep😮 thought this was a green beginner slope
It might be deceptive on video but it’s a great slope for beginners in my opinion. The only issue is that it can get very crowded
@@JohnDeMartinit’s actually considered one of the most dangerous runs in the world due to it having nearly 70 percent of the mountain on it at once and nearly all being beginners it’s very dangerous
how do you get back to smiggens once u at the bottom
Amazing garden and plants, am inspired to continue documenting my passion for ornamental plants and trees on you tube
Thanks! You should
Nice content but have a problem
What's the problem?
@@JohnDeMartin For more details. how do I communicate with you?
every sweet dish NEEDS a pinch of salt to really lift up any Aromas I promise You it’s the exact right kink, same with salty dishes always a pinch of sugar
I completely agree with you. I used salted butter and added another pinch of salt in too. I should’ve written that on the video
@@JohnDeMartin Oh my heart is lifted already 😌🦋
That looked like a solid 200g butter lol
It looks like a lot but it’s a thin piece. The stick of butter was just very wide and thin
Please give me some
Outstanding collection!! Does your area take any cold spell in winter, short freezes?
Thank you! No I'm lucky I live on the east coast of Australia and never get frosts. It very rarely drops below 8 degrees celsius (46f). I believe in my area though if you were to travel inland say half an hour there would be occasional frosts. Being close to the ocean keeps the temperatures pretty mild.
@@JohnDeMartin Lucky you! Here on the east coast of Spain, although rarely, there could be some light frost in January. The varieties I have planted in the ground hold up well, but who knows if others could be too harmed or even die.
@@lmarts once they’re a bit bigger they should be ok. If it’s only a short frost you might just experience the ends dying back but they should reshoot in spring. I find the red frangipanis dislike the cold more than the typical white and yellow.
That looks tasty!
Thanks 😊
Love growing leeks, did you know you can freeze them 😊
That’s a great tip. Thanks! 😊
Can you please share when you go there? Month? Beginning of month or end of month?
This video was filmed during the middle/later June. I also go in August but footage from that is in other videos :)
@@JohnDeMartin thank you 🙏🏼
" ... my local garden store Bunnings ..." The Wesfarmers group ... which profited mightily from #ScottMorrisons free publicity for Bunnings for his YEARS as PM ... and which actively damaged other smaller local garden stores. Worth thinking about.
Very nice❤
Thank you! 😊
Wheres the recipe can u comment the recipe
150g butter, 4TBLs golden syrup, 1tsp baking soda, 1c AP flour, 1c oats, 1c desiccated coconut, 3/4c sugar - cook 15 minutes at 160c/320f
Thanks for this video! Background music is too loud though…
Thanks I’ll keep that in mind for the future
hi! like ur frangipani trees! may i ask do the leaves fall during autumn? if not planted in tropical areas. Thanks!
Thank you! Yes they do. I live in a subtropical area and they fall mid/late autumn and come back early spring.
@@JohnDeMartin thank you!
Looks good, going to try this.
If you want the leeks thicker, prune the bottom leaves and trim top ones down by half .. great to see young men enjoying gardening ..
aren’t they replacing the double with it?
Yes they are replacing the double with the new six. They’ve already taken the double down for this season so they can finish it by next season
@@JohnDeMartin thats great
Hi john remember me the kid u met in the quad chair ski line?
Yes I do! 😊
@@JohnDeMartin 👌👌
Definitely recommend using compost and manure to add nutrients to the soil over potting mix. Potting mix isn’t the most natural ingredients for outdoor soil. Compost and manure have way more benefits for the garden and plant nutrients.
