    Randy, all this is fascinating, but… and before I state what I’m about to, I must also state: 1. I am a priest, but of Zoroastrianism (as in my dad made me become one but I’m now into spirituality not religion, but sure, there are “god”s. Zoroastrians for your reference are the 3 wise men in your stories. We are the oldest monotheistic religion in the world (again, not that I care for religion now, as we as humans now know too much to take that notion seriously). 2. I do believe Christ existed. … You were making some logical sense, and some spiritual sense, although there were many assumptions, but you lost me at the word “law”. Are you saying, that you think that god actually gave instructions to a man and used the word “law”? If you’re using your full intelligence, and I know you have a lot of it, do you honestly think that this knowledge hasn’t been manufactured to include the word law, and mix it with something as spiritual or metaphysical as “God”s? Doesn’t it feel like this information was passed down, to rule and oppress the masses? I’d love to debate this with you LIVE, and then we could make a RUclips video! It’d be a lot of fun. And very educational for others too!

      Hi Zephyr. I was going to suggest (for some time now actually) that we do a podcast episode together. I don't really care too much for the word "debate". I prefer the term "exchange information" respectfully with one another and let the viewer (listener) derive their own conclusions. Let's take some time and work this out. I know time zones are going to be an issue. As I write this, it is 4:40pm on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 in Boonville and 5:40am on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 in Singapore. So that makes you 13 hours ahead of me, but we can work it out. Perhaps lets start with a Zoom call when it is convenient for you in your time zone and we can lay out what we actually want to discuss (major points within reasonable time constraints) with a list of questions to discuss on each "episode". Tell me what you think and what your schedule looks like for a Zoom call.

    God created angels. Lucifer was an angel. Therefore, God created Lucifer. So God created evil. And then He allowed His evil creation, Lucifer, to enter His own beautiful, unsullied Garden, and tempt another of His creations, Man. I challenge anyone to explain why He did this (other than by saying, "The LORD moves in mysterious ways!)" Heard that silliness so many times it makes me yawn now: What a copout.

    • @pastorrandy
      @pastorrandy 21 день назад

      God created freedom of choice because God has freedom of choice (volition). To be created in the image and likeness of God requires volition. Volition is not evil. The misuse of volition of evil, just like the misuse of anything can be evil. In fact, after they "ate from the tree", God said, "The man has now become like 'one of us' knowing good and evil. Therefore, lest he reach out his hand and eat from the tree of life (in his changed condition) and live forever" - God expelled him from the garden. Even if this is allegorical and not literal, it is a word picture of a change in condition from being harmless and innocent to being potentially dangerous and evil. There is a valuable lesson to be learned in either case.

    Salvation is NOT the Working of Miracles. NO WHERE in the bible does it say that salvation is a miracle (though salvation is the greatest miraculous work God can do in one's life). Those who say salvation is the greatest miracle see few, if any objective, biblical class miracles in their life. This is CLICKBAIT! Putting a title out there that will draw people, but then switch what they actually offer. NOTE. This man has NOT provided one single testimony of a miracle in his life like you find in your bible. NOTE. Mine is the only comment a year later and likely no one will respond.

      The new birth is a supernatural work of the power of the Holy Spirit in our human spirit. The fact that it is supernatural and the fact that it is the work of the Holy Spirit and the fact that it is the power of God giving new life to our human spirit - MAKES IT THE WORKING OF A MIRACLE! It isn't the working of a miracle though a human being, but it is the work of God, it is supernatural, and it is a manifestation of the power of God. The working of miracles is a supernatural action of the power of God that cannot be duplicated by human effort or natural means. The working of miracles most often accompanies the preaching of the gospel. The working of miracles is not God putting on a show for the purpose of entertaining Christians. There is a lot of faking miracles by preachers in the Pentecostal-Charismatic Movement. This video does give the biblical definition of the working of miracles, and it is not limited to the new birth, but it does include it. The working of miracles is a work of the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit possesses and determines when it will be manifested - not man. At 57:06 I begin talking about examples of the working of miracles found in Scripture. So this video is not click-bait. God healed me of polio and meningitis as an infant He did it Himself, supernaturally, in an instant of time by His power. All the glory goes to Him, as it should, not shared with any man.

      @@pastorrandy Thank you for your reply. That is rare. I still believe EVERYTHING I said is true and can prove it. Except for your early miracle, likely, you have not experienced the biblical Working of Miracles. The bible gives ample examples of what the bible calls miracles. I have experienced hundreds of these with thousands of witnesses, times, dates, ect. I am not a Charismatic or a Pentecostal. I am a forensic scientist who loves God and His Word. Why do those who know least purport to know most? It is unfortunate that you have experienced false miracle claims and have such a negative view about the miraculous. It is people like you - especially being a pastor - that puts a damper on others experiencing miracles and this biblical gift. Possibly there is one of your sheep or followers of this channel that is curious about hearing the testimony of a modern day, biblical class miracle. You and I will one day give an account. Remember, you were warned, and God will bring this back up on that Day.

    Some of the people commenting on this video are atheists who just don't get it. The principle of Separation Of Church And State was not originated by atheists, although atheists benefit from it. It was originated by folks who were tired of an authoritarian government trying to dictate how they believed in their religion, how religious they were to be, and what religion they practiced. On Facebook there is a stereotypical atheist personality who tries to impose their disbelief on everybody else just like the religious right wants to impose their beliefs on everyone. These atheists see anyone who has a belief in something as no different than the religious right and lump everybody into the same category because they are so simple-minded that they only think in extremes. They conceptualize rigidly. They don't even see that there are many moderate Christians who vote Democrat.

      God was NOT wrong to set up a theocracy (meaning rule by God, not rule by the "Church"). Israel was a theocracy in the beginning. God was their King (not Moses or the judges of Israel). The people, however, were only natural people not spiritual people (with a few notable exceptions). They could not at that time be born again from above by the Holy Spirit of God. The vast majority of the people of Israel rejected God as their King because they wanted to be like the nations surrounding them. That is why He gave them Saul. God rejected Saul as king and found David. From David's descendants He sent Jesus the Christ who will reign forever over heaven and earth at His return.

All of us are accountable to Him for how we live our lives, and we will all stand before Him some day for judgment. Certainly, no one should be coerced by the government to believe or have faith, but Jesus Christ of Nazareth has commanded us to go and make disciples of all ethnic groups. Evangelism is imperative for believers in the Lord Jesus. We are commanded by God to preach the gospel and the freedom to speak of it is an inalienable right we have as U.S. citizens.

    If we look at US history which is based on British ties. The Roman Church had its own lands and money in England and was untouchable by the crown and was eventually replaced with the King as head of the Church, instead of a Pope. Then came other Protestant sects which looked at the Church of England as too tied to the Roman Church. Then came Cromwell and his puritan commonwealth, doing away with the King as head of the Church. Then came the Restoration and Puritans heading to America to practice as they wanted. Then came one colony Catholic, one Anglican, one Quaker, and others with various degrees of separation of Church and state. The English lesson was well learned by Americans: let everyone believe what they will.

The Declaration of Independence is a dead document. I did its job of justifying our independence from Great Britain. Its purpose has been fulfilled, and it has never been amended. The US Constitution is a living document, and all laws are contingent upon it. It is the sole lawful foundation of government power and has been amended many times. They know it they just disagree. This is why we require the "wall of separation" to keep the polarizing impact of religion in government. Remember the religious violence in Europe was more contemporary to them than WWI is to us today. They recognized the danger of polarization inherent when differing views on religion re injected into government.

    A calm and sane pastor… discussing his real belief… and not turning to hatred and in search of “enemies”… That’s what religion is about. Religion isn’t about hatred and finding/creating “enemies”. My sincere respect for you, Sir, and May people, who think they’re believers watch your channel and eventually also understand what religion really is about.

      Jesus told Pilate, the Roman Governor, "My kingdom is not of this world." - meaning that His kingdom does not operate in the same manner as the governments of this world. Jesus had no interest in establishing a political nation-state as we see them today. Jesus' kingdom becomes established in the hearts and minds of men and women who believe in Him and are born again from above by the Holy Spirit. When that takes place, the kingdom is within that person and they become a student, follower, and emulator of Jesus.

    Separation of church and state is necessary and good as you said. That's why our founding fathers incorporated into our Constitution. Thus, it is our law. Thanks for being a preacher who's not crazy.

    When God tells you to do things a certain way, all other ways are prohibited, even when those other ways are not sins in and of themselves. The Bible states in clear unambiguous terms how the church is to accomplish its mission of spreading God's word, and none of the methods directed involve the use of government authority. Therefore the church must not seek and must not accept any alliance with the government. (Note that this is markedly different from Islam, which mandates that Muslims accept only governments which enforce Sharia's prohibitions. Yes, this is in the Qur'an.) And we already accept that it is not a legitimate function of government to settle religious disputes. Therefore the government has no business seeking or accepting an alliance with any religious institution.

Yeah did you just skip that Kamala Harris and the Democratic party are socialist. You failed to define what socialism is you failed to define the Democratic parties history as it relates to socialism.

    How is separation even possible when we’ve simply flipped the script? Formerly kings were only officially appointed when sanctioned by the church. Now, religions don’t exist unless recognized by the state. Isn’t this just another distracting illusion? 🤷‍♂️ IJS
