    THANK YOU! Finishing up a huge oval rug and I’m not an instruction follower so much… I’ve been folding and sewing the “yarn” seam and adding batting as I go and making the rug-actually with good results. Your instructions are very helpful as I figure out where I want that taper to be positioned. VERY clear tutorial and much appreciated. 🎉

    Unfortunately I don't have the tool you show, would it be similar to lining up the 45 degree mark of a quilting ruler along the edge? Also, can this method be used with angled corners, or points as on a table runner?

    I've used this several times but usually have to redo 3 out of 4 corners. I would appreciate a better video doing the corners. It needs to be clear and close up of taking the quilt out at the corner and putting it back in.

    Jackie, (hope I am spelling your name correctly) I have been working/practising with my binder, following each of your videos in step. They are very helpful. However, where I seem to be having a problem is actually getting my quilt sandwich seated properly in the binding at the start. I can get into the binding in front of the foot, but no matter what I do, I cannot seem to get where it should be under and behind the foot. Do you have any suggestions. Thanks.

    Isn't this an Aunties Two technique? Aunties has been using this technique for years and has four or five patterns written using batting in 2 1/2" fabric strips filed with batting. Shouldn't RJ Designs come up with her own idea?

      There are only so many ways to end this. (Was this a necessary comment?) She's simply trying to communicate how to do it. I thought her explanation was fabulous. :)

      @@jenniferupton3552 I don’t think this comment is aimed at Mira Stitch n Post. He’s saying that this technique and extremely similar patterns were out for sale several years in advance of this popular and secretive pattern. He does have a good point. I looked up some videos and they were posted before this pattern came along.

    I’d love to see a video on how to finish the binding. I read the directions and followed them, but it didn’t turn out looking very well! Thanks so much for these videos. I’m a visual learner and the pictures on the directions that came with the foot are very small!

    Great videos. Very helpful. I am considering purchasing this attachment to use on my Diamond and Diamond Deluxe. I understand that I need an additional plate that has the holes for the screws. One question I have is about the maximum binding width that can be done.

  • @maryredick9894
    @maryredick9894 5 лет назад

    Thanks so much for doing these videos. I have a Pfaff and your videos work just fine for me. I’m going to need practice with this part for sure, I also have problems finishing it at the end. The backside of the binding doesn’t come far enough in to the quilt and gets missed by the top stitching. Same thing happens to the back of the corners!

    • @marywhite4857
      @marywhite4857 5 лет назад

      I was speaking to Jamie Warren about this on one of the courses I attended. He said if there is a mismatch between the front and back of the binding, so you end up stitching one but not the other, then you need to tweak the screws at the front. He did say it was a very tiny amount, but didn't say which one, nor in which direction. To be fair, I didn't have my binder with me at the time. Once set, you should never need to do it again, unless you take it to another machine.

      Thank you Mary. I am having the same issue with my backside of the binding not running exactly parallel which then causes the backside stitches to miss the fabric. I appreciate you sharing this information.

    I just bought one of these for my Pfaff. I have also purchased the correct plate for my machine. Do you know of any differences from yours to mine? I have the IDT foot, which is different. Thanks so much for doing this! After spending the money on this foot, I want to be sure to get plenty of use out of it!

    Great video Jacque! Does the quilt binding attachment work on all husqvarna machines or just the new ones?

    • @marywhite4857
      @marywhite4857 5 лет назад

      It works on the Epic, Brilliance and Icon machines. It also works on the Diamond but you have to buy a new throat plate for it to screw into. I *think* that might also be true of the Ruby and Topaz 50, but not as confident with that.
