Billy Johnson sets a clean lap of Buttonwillow Configuration #13 Counter-Clockwise (CCW) in a stock BMW M4. Most of the in-car videos of this configuration aren't very good from a visual or driving line perspective, so this should help many learn the line. After coaching the owner of the car during the day, Billy got his one and only flying lap in the car, ever.

Billy Johnson taking a 2020 Shelby GT500 Carbon Fiber Track Pack for a couple hot laps after a great day of coaching the owner. Unfortunately there were no clear laps and these two half-laps had the least traffic. Together these laps make a 1:57.44 lap despite the TT1 race-spec GTR over-slowing a few corners, and more traffic before the front straight.

      It depends on the rest of the car. What tire, aero, power, etc... You can make either setup work well and go fast.

    Absolutely mind blowing especially for 7 years ago, this is what .2 slower than PZtunings record which was after repave? No idea if this car still exists but definitely should attempt something once more especially with newer A005 soft compounds could definitely go even quicker! Also super fucking gangster you did that on a standard h pattern

    Almost Identical time to Jeff Westphal in a Ford Racing Boss S a few years back with Redline TT. I think it was Paul Walkers ride. They were running CW13.

    At first I'm wondering why you're braking so early for T1. And then I realize that the track no longer seems to have any straights (!!). What an amazing machine! (and, the driver seems vaguely competent as well :))

    you have to change the emissivity settings on the gun when reading from something highly reflective such as aluminum else the readings are way off.

      Glad to hear it! That's what they're built for. DRIVE IT IN TRACK MODE!!! The suspension, steering, throttle map, etc... is so much better in track mode on track. Plus, stability control is amazing and designed to save amateurs in track mode.

      @@BillyJRacing I think without passenger and without traffic the CFTP GT500 could do a 1:54.xx or maybe a 1:53.xx Thats awesome for a 4076 lbs heavy weight. And as always I will never forget your LeMans run against Ferraris
