better late than never, i suppose. also, yes i'm aware that the record here is warped, that's how it came when it arrived from amazon. it seems to play fine thankfully but it looks super cheap and gross looking while it's playing music used: Running Away - VANO 3000
The worst PC I own.

This PC is the worst one that I own and this is a video talking about it. No gaming to be found here, sorry. Today's date (11/20/24) is Transgender Day of Remembrance, a day where we remember and pay tribute to those that couldn't live for what they are. To all those who took their lives to escape those that wouldn't accept for what they are. To all those who perished upon the climb. Remember t...
"linux gaming is bad"

A fun project idea i had roaming in my head. All of the games in the video were ran on EndeavourOS, an Arch based distro. A lot of the games here were run on steam, which are run through the proton translator. I'll list the ratings for each game (except for ones that don't run through steam, like PCSX2). GAMES (listed in order): Risk of Rain 2: PLATINUM Celeste: PLATINUM PROJECT WINGMAN: GOLD U...

Let's fucking goooo
I clicked because of the fumo Thanks algorithms
core 2 duo is still very capable. I still use my dell inspiron 1545 laptop with one in it. I have linux running on there though. Have been for years now.
ive got a core 2 duo E8500 running linux mint cinnoman with a 500 GB SSD and 8 GB ram in quad channel , nvidia gt 610 and for internet browsing , emailing , youtube , and coding in python this thing absolutlely rocks for what im asking of it ...... honestly i think i can get several more years of use out of it at this rate
You can de bloat
Its due to it being an atom processor… the extra 1gb gets used as follows: 256MB is assigned as video memory. A total of 512MB is used for PCI hardware resources. 256MB is dedicated to PCI Express hardware resources.
i see fumo, i click
Cool
THAT IS MY PC!!!!!! I'M STILL ROCKING THE CORE 2 DUO!!!!! 🔥
Merry Christmas Koishi and Phoenix :3
Here before he got 290mil sub
I clicked on this video, because there's fumo ᗜˬᗜ
thumbnail with koishi fumo and office pc, i click
The core2 is pretty ok for basic tasks, but don't get a Celeron in that gen.
but what if did? nah, i won't anytime soon, at least not until i get more interesting things to play with
@@phoenix_ac0 I had a celeron 450 in an eMachines shitbox. Barely could handle it and decided to shove a Q8400 into it for better performance
@ I wouldn't suggest it. You get atom performance with lower end power draw (35W for a 450) on a socketed CPU that can have a Core2 Duo or Quad slapped in
0:05 Yuuuup, nice quote here
nice koishi fumo id like to make some videos like these with my hoard of 20 pcs under my bed but i dont have a camera!
You should try win 7 with a kernel extension
Hey just came up to say, it can't be used. At least you can do is q6600 with DDR3 and a proper SSD. May be raided SSD
Also I have tried some time before to max out ram on some of them. I think I have got to 12gb top. No matter what I have done I couldn't plug in 4th 4g. It woudl work. But probably related to the fact that j was using all different sticks. So probably you can make a rig of 4 sticks. Be aware of the mother board though. It can be DDR2 or DDR3 one. So..
this person time trabled!!!!1!1!!1!1
You got gold content in your hands, keep it up!
its still 2024 tho lol
First time here Man see kiroshi, Man hears "linux" Man sees hand warmers WHERE IS THE FINNISH ACCENT???
Sucks being an american sometimes, smdh 😔
Here's the funny thing. I work at a school and the side project we've been working on with my supervisor is sending *these things* upgraded to ukraine.
damn, that's sweet
Here before this channel blows up
overkilled psu damn
furries just _piss me off_
Yeahhhhh, A Hat in Time is running on UE3 so its no wonder its stuttering heavily on a Core2Duo. Encountered the same issue on a Titan X on my 4th gen Core i5 build i have on the side, in my case it was the PCIe 2.0 of the H81 board i was using that caused the stutter. Going to Z87 with PCIe 3.0 fixed the issue.
fascinating, i didn't know that a hat in time ran on UE3. upon some googling, however, UE3 was released in 2006, which was 4 years before PCIe 3.0 was introduced... do all UE3 games run like this on PCIe 2.0? i can't wrap my head around how this game doesn't run well even though in theory, it should based on how old the engine is
@@phoenix_ac0 I wouldn't know, i didn't really experiment that much before the H81 board died and i replaced it with a Z87 board. But it only seemed to have troubles running on the Titan X on PCIe 2.0 because i had a GTX680 in that build before and AHiT ran quite well on it.
i remember using similar spec pcs at school and its shocking how usable these can be when they arent limited to a hard drive with 40000 hours of power on time lmfao
Core2 Duo machines are hard carried by SSDs, even without the full 600 mb read/write speeds
a good idea would be to review a more bearable computer (atleast an old dell optiplex from 2013)
Mmmm, sandy bridge i7 baby
i see fumo and blajaha i click
Holy crap I saw my comment in the video!!! 🤯
Gotta make sure yall are heard ;)
koishi 💢😭
The PSU being held by hopes and dreams 😭
Still better than my old n270 netbook... i went through a whole year in school with that lmao
god, i can't imagine how people would feel using these damn things back then and the worst bit is that the internet was lighter then compared to now
I use linux from 2018 and now is almost perfect. Less than 1GB idle (fine, 567 but can be less) and the OS uses 10GB. I use void linux on pc with i7-3770 with 16gb ddr3 just to compare with windows 10 ltsc. Now the most common problem is about windows kernel anticheat. As DE I use openbox with nitrogen wallpaper and conky. For a 12 year old computer with igpu is amazing. On my modern setup is much ideal, but the only problem is time spending to configure the menu (i5 8400 with gtx 1060 6gb).
Openbox DE can be a alternative. If you want something more light I think will be void linux.
I have 2 of these machines, I only had one originally but they were so miserable someone threw one in a dumpster in full working condition without wiping their data 🗿
ohh dear, that's not good... hopefully nothing sensitive was on it or anything
i can't think of a more iconic duo than a dinky netbook and its hl1 install that runs better than the web browser
better yet, a hl1 install that runs better than most 2d indie games whoever coded that game was on some freaky shit, i think
I had one of these. it was torture incarnate.
As someone who used AMD Athlon for years before Ryzen, It makes me feel old when someone does not immediately recognize a Athlon CPU
@ryanspaceYT to be fair, I've never seen or heard of an athlon "neo" Apparently it's related to athlon64's architecture, at least according to Wikipedia anyways
These make for pretty capable, low power servers for services like HomeAssistant or a VPN.
