Thabk you for a great video. Going tomstay here with the family. Getting a previewnwith such detail is so appreciated
Sanibel, the causeway, and everything around it used to feel like paradise. It was the kind of place that took your breath away without even trying. But Hurricane Ian changed all of that, it just tore through and left so much destruction behind. I was at this hotel recently, and honestly, the whole area feels like a shadow of what it once was. The nature, the beauty, it was hit so hard that it might never fully come back, at least not in our lifetime. And that thought breaks my heart.
Is this near or in UBUD?
No, I left from Ubud, but the tour was 8 hours of driving. Heaven’s Gate was our first stop and was at least an hour drive, then 45 minutes to get a photo. If you go later in the day, the wait for a picture can be two hours.
Way over priced
Didn’t mean anything by my comment, wish they were a little cheaper..been comparing and all of them are like $144 for 10-14 meals a week
Have you seen the executive suite? How many does it sleep (legally according to hotel)?
Didn’t get a look at it.
I love the shop it is what it is.
I want to people watch from the safety of their balcony is it close enough ?
i will not be subscribing 😤
Thank you for the comment--it helps the video in the algorithm. Feel free to continue to comment!
Thank you for taking the time and creating the video.
So what happened to the tennis court 😂?
After posting on every site imaginable, I had a concierge in Valencia help me book a court there. When we arrived in Barcelona, we spoke with the concierge about booking another court, but decided we didn't want to deal with the traffic. That's the best way to get a court that I could find.
No difference
Agreed! I don't think I could sleep at night if I convinced someone to buy this because there would be an observable difference.
This was fun!!!! Looking forward to seeing what you have in mind for this year. My son purchased Snoop for me. ✨👏🏽✨👏🏽✨🎄 so here we gooo with a fun adventure.🤣🎄🤣
Have fun with him! He really adds a lot to the holidays.
It does come with one. Maybe you threw it away.
Great tip for making sure you don't throw away parts: I go through each piece of cardboard with a box cutter so I the material will fit in my recycle bin. I know I went through the packaging thoroughly. Must have been a factory oversight.
Do people really pay 32 dollars to park?
Yes, everything seems to have a price these days.
Nice video of Michigan City IN. I’ve been there before some years ago, Thanks for sharing this video, Also became a subscriber as well.. 🙌🏼👍👏🏼🏢📸🤗
Thank you Anthony! I'm working on content from a recent visit to Charlottesville, Virginia. What a beautiful city!
I had insurance through tripmate and had to go to the ER first day in Vancouver Canada this is end of October 24th trying to get some of my money back. I'm on Medicare and and supplemental insurance took $250 off the top and applied the rest to my yearly out of pocket. Sent that paperwork to tripmate and still haven't gotten any money. Paid more than several hundred dollars for insurance and can't get any of my $930 back so far. Extremely frustrating
I hope you get your money back! It's unbelievable how frequently TripMate doesn't keep up their end of the contract.
The Garden Conservatory was always my favorite area.
Mine, too!
What is the name of the big department store you showed in the video as we have an upcoming visit to Bali and going to stay in Nusa Dua. Cheers 👍
The Sogo department store in the Bali Collection. I hope you love Bali as much as I did! The scenery is breathtaking and the people are beautiful.
@ Absolutely. Just finished our trip to Bali and Phuket. The people are very welcoming, sweet and very kind and blown away with their hospitality. Cheers 👍

Shopping malls are in decline. I can't think of what is going to be the next step for them. I think online shopping is great and I can find things that wouldn't be at the physical stores. Chicago Place is another mall that is basically down.
I agree--2020 may have proven too much for malls. I still like to try things on, which keeps me visiting malls now and then.
@@JuliaLives1111 Hi thanks for getting back. I think the "try on" part is why some malls will have a chance. I mean when you buy online you can't really be sure about how something fits or even really looks. I guess we will see looking ahead.
@@charleyyoung262 Right, could AI be used to demonstrate how something will look on you? They've been doing it with glasses for quite some time.
@@JuliaLives1111 I would have to see how AI will work instead of trying things on. I still think seeing the physical items can't be beat for now.
@@charleyyoung262 Agreed! Tough to determine the quality of something until it is in your hands.
Hallandale Beach Florida and Hollywood beach Florida is way more better than this place, and they offer more to do.❤
I've never been to Hallandale Beach--I'll have to put it on my next Florida itinerary!
intenitable
I lived in VA Beach, & use to go to this place, I went to the library all the time. I actually don’t believe he had any special knowledge after reading several books. There was one guy there who did classes on Atlas (another thing I don’t believe in), & he’s actually been on Ancient Aliens talking about it. I was really into intuition, & synchronicities as signs from my dead loved ones (I still am). I only knew the place even existed because I saw it as a child on unsolved mysteries (I’m 43, I look young). Social Anxiety keeps me isolated, but having a spiritual sense helps give my life meaning. I want to have a wife, I love people, but I’m just uncomfortable when I’m around them. I try to focus on my Blessings, anyway… there’s really not much to this place, it’s really just a gift shop, & library. I wouldn’t travel any great distance to visit unless it’s for a conference. They had one about “What The Bleep?” & Dr Fred Alan Wolf was there. It’s cool that a place like this exists.
Thank you for your thoughtful comment. I've seen "What The Bleep?" and the sequel "Down The Rabbit Hole." The center seems different on the website and I agree, if there aren't any workshops, it's basically a gift shop, library, cafe and spa. I hope you find relief from any barrier that anxiety creates for you. We're all just energy anyway, right?❤
Thank you do much fir these practical tips.
You're welcome! After doing a lot of research, I was really pleased to find out how accessible so many of the attractions are. So much of the area could be taken in by foot.
I been there years ago it was amazing we did these physic Card excercises with signs & symbols with a person sitting across from you. I did well
I would love to go to a class there. There wasn't much on the schedule during my visit, but I enjoyed the center anyway.
@@JuliaLives1111 Did you try any of the Perception excercises with the cards & guessing the symbols on them with a person sitting across from you? I did pretty well when I concentrated👍
@@ButchBrown7 Nice! I would have loved to try that, but didn't see these exercises. I'm pretty open to reading and interpreting energy, so this sounds like it's up my alley. I thought about getting an aura reading for fun, but ran out of time.
@@JuliaLives1111 Yeah I did that like in the 90s around 94 or so I stayed in Virginia Beach or a vacation & thought it would be nice
I love Biloxi how cold does it get and how is the crime rate?
I visited during CoVid, so I'm not sure how it's changed since. It was such an uncertain and stressful time in the world, but the locals I encountered in Biloxi were so kind and warm. I'd like to return!
Looks like someone used your footage ruclips.net/video/M6EgA-nCwfk/видео.htmlsi=yFT_UWaJgH1Ed7Qp
How about showing Pasagula Ms I lived there in 1970
Great suggestion!
was this place the Waldorf?
Yes, from what I understand.
I live in Virginia Beach and visit the Cavalier on a regular basis for dinner. The reason everything is in such good condition is because a developer along with the city of Virginia Beach did an extensive renovation on the hotel a few years back along with building the Marriott Hotel across the street from it.
What a great place to live:). I love the homes on the streets adjacent to the Cavalier and driving around behind the property felt very secure. The restoration is beautiful❤
"I'd get up and have a half dozen bottles of beer!" Words that rang true to me and sent me off to 38 years of sobriety last July 4! Ironic that my father was the only member of my immediate family unaffected by Alcoholism and was Born in Akron City Hospital! Crazy irony right?
Congratulations on 38 years of continuous sobriety. That's a miracle:). The tour guide told me people who haven't stayed sober elsewhere have moved to Akron in a last ditch effort to achieve sobriety. That is ironic that your dad was born in Akron but was unaffected directly by alcoholism.

Thanks for your video. I will be traveling there with a friend in November (2024). The price you paid seems a little steep. I know this is from 2 years ago, but still. My total package price for 2 people was of $4,090. That includes: 7 days/8 nights stay in a deluxe garden suite, round trip airfare, 2 excursions, airport transfers, and travel protection. I’m a travel agent as well, and I made sure I got the best deal for us. This will be my 3rd time traveling to Tulum, and I have never paid more than 4k for 2 people. I really appreciate your honest review though.
I think the price also reflects the time of year; the week between Christmas and New Year's. That's an expensive time to travel! I may not have mentioned I always upgrade my airline seats. I like to be at the front of the plane with some leg room. Once I started doing that, I haven't looked back:)
@@JuliaLives1111Ha!! That makes so much sense, sounds like when I booked my first balcony room on a cruise and never looked back 😂
@@jenstravelblog You don't know what you're missing until you have it:)
Great video- but I wish you would have commented more on the food you ate and what you thought- it's a big piece of making the decision on where to stay.
The food was nothing spectacular. I made a comment about the desserts being really watery and several people commented that it's a gelatin that is used. I can always find something to eat, but I've stayed at Secrets and Sandals and thought the food was better at both properties.
Was this a nice city to visit?
Yes, the downtown has many cool restaurants (no chains). The atmosphere is a college town feeling with students bustling about and lots of trendy shopping.
Have any suggestions on eats and coffee? Also hotels you'd recommend staying? Any suggestions at all really haha thanks so much.
@@mitchellgraves2774 I have a few Ann Arbor hotel reviews on my channel. I like The Graduate if you want to walk to campus. I've also stayed at the Bell Tower. The Hyatt Place is popular, but the next time I go, I think I'll stay at EVEN. Sweetwaters coffee is very popular and I prefer it when I'm in A2. I also like Cinnaholic. I like Isalita Cantina Mexicana, Jolly Pumpkin, Zingerman's or Zingerman's Roadhouse, and Frita Batido's (hamburgers). There are some good restaurants that aren't national chains, but have other locations in Michigan (Hopcat, Condado Taco, Jolly Pumpkin). These are all pretty midrange pricing, but Ann Arbor prices are higher in general. There are several upscale restaurants if you're there to celebrate. Let me know if you visit. I'd be interested to hear what you think:)
@JuliaLives1111 Thanks for all the much needed info! I'm planning on going in October so I'm trying to get it planned out as best I can with suggestions from ones that have been there in the area. Planning on visiting a few sites in the Detroit area but thought ann arbor would be a better place to stay. Trying to plan a night in Chicago also before I get there and then back down to Louisville for a day or so before returning home.. If you had to choose which one would you Say had the best accommodations for the rates?
@@mitchellgraves2774 If you're looking to stay in Ann Arbor, watch out for prices around sporting events. The hotel prices will soar if there is an event that weekend, in which case, you'd be better off staying closer to Detroit. I found the prices in Chicago to be higher than expected when I stayed there last summer. I stayed at the Westin and ended up paying around $580 for one night, which is higher than what I've paid in the past.
Naples. Grande.bh.job

Dude I think I may have a new HOBBY
The hotel is nice the restaurants very nice but tge room service is 2 star quality getting room service delivered like Uber in plastic box plastic utsnciks is embarrassing. On this fact alone I stopped booking there. The hotel is right on the beach and is nice clean but high prices for not the best service . Room cleanings r good though cleaning stuff do great job
I think the hotel was busier than usual with families when I stayed there due to the Embassy Suites closure for renovations. I would stay there again, but I paid a high rate due to the timing. Right now the rates are only $200 per night.
This is like three years later, but I went yesterday and it looks a lot different than now
Sounds like I need to visit again!
I'd try applying the stripper, then use the power washer...good luck!
I'm armed with the stripper and going to take a crack at it today. Thank you--I'll take all the advice I can get:)
@@JuliaLives1111 Let me know how it works! BTW, I enjoy your videos and all the varied items you test. I first stumbled upon your channel when we were booking a trip to Sanibel, and we were thinking of staying at the Marriott Sanibel Island Resort. We ended up going (shortly before Ian wreaked the place) and we had a great time. Your video helped us decide...thank you!

Staying in Hotels is similar too apartment living people are lively; I don't let it bother me or ruin my fun. I know everything is not in my control
I wish more people where like that let people live! If it’s not hurting you our others let people have fun. It’s the beach after all.
I haven't lived in an apartment for 30 years, so I guess I had forgotten how much "fun" it is.
Anything outside is fine by me (music, people getting so hammered they can barely walk, yelling, screaming, etc.). It's their vacation:).

good stuff on this review!!!!!
Hi Folks, whats wrong with all of you when making an YT content ??!!! Is it an insurance advice and discussion about a specific subject or some sort of a music concert ?
Poetic justice would be to bring back Marshall Field's to replace Macy's!
That's perfect:).
Yeah! I have a belief that Marshall Fields will someday return to Chicago.
Thanks for the review! I've seen ads for these meals on my smartphone. They do seem a bit pricey and might not be filling enough for a guy. I might try it once when they have specials.
I wasn’t counting macros, but that would probably be a good measurement to determine if this is enough food.
Is the buffet any good?
I didn’t try the buffet, but all the food I had was tasty.
Going here in a few days to explore the indoor garden only
The gardens are beautiful in person. Enjoy your trip!
@@JuliaLives1111 do they charge for just seeing the gardens ?
@@tori.walkergulley No, you can walk around for free. There are a lot of restaurants and bars. There's an ice cream stand and a cinnamon roll stand, too, if you're in the mood to get a small bite. Tickets to the Delta River Boat are $15.99, but anyone can take a cruise, even if you're not a guest. It's a huge property--you can spend a long time walking around if you take in every area.
