Female driver pulls out to overtake slow learner with last minute indication and without checking mirrors / over shoulder check. Due to wide angle lens she appears further away. However my front wheels were level with her rear wheels. I had all on not to collide, I jumped on the brakes so hard the emergency braking kicked in.

Das Vorderrad auch oder zugestellt dabei?
@@nicolprzibylla7607 Hallo, entschuldigen Sie mein schlechtes Deutsch. Das Vorderrad kann frei gedreht oder gerade festgestellt werden.
Cool footage! 😊
wow. thats cool :)
Did you get this vid from a heli?
Hi Thomas, yes I did. One of our company aircraft whilst on a Powerline inspection.
@@RaptorFlyer3D wow cool!!! I got some photos of a H135 doing cable inspections today. there was also a globe ranger further south! what helicopter do you fly?
@@thomasevans1128 hi, was the 135 yellow by any chance? If so, that’ll likely be Western Power Distribution if in the UK. I don’t fly anymore but the helicopters we own & operate are G-RIDA a AS355NP, G-GRIDB a Bell429 (first one in the UK) & newly acquired G-RIDC another Bell429. The Globe Ranger could be one of our 429’s, although there are some Jet Rangers on contract doing pipeline inspections. I’m now involved with the UAS (drone) Operations within the company.
Hi Matti, thanks for the very short ride in the RL, I have very fond memories of the RL Bedford, when I got my licence while in the NZ Army Reserves, way back in 1974, is yours diesel? Take care and keep safe in these crazy times we are all in.
Hi Les, thanks for your message, yes she is a normally aspirated 330d. Take care too.
Great to hear the engine purr. Very low and close gearbox. I bed you can move off in 2nd no hitch, and even in 3rd with a little effort.
What waveband is this?
It’s infrared, Thermographic cameras detect radiation in the infrared range of the electromagnetic spectrum (roughly 900-14,000 nanometers or 0.9-14 μm).
@@RaptorFlyer3D OK, so it is a bolometer with no filter within the IR, correct?
Wayne Keen no idea sorry, you’d have to look up the spec for the Wescam MX10.
@@RaptorFlyer3D Thanks for the tip, looking at one of the sheets, both imager 1A and 1B look to be midwave, 3 - 5 microns
Wie gut,daß man von dieser Kiste nichts zu sehen bekommt !
Pretty ugly new car without Kat!
Knut-Hinrichq Walter erm I don’t understand your comment?
@@RaptorFlyer3D Aha ! TWX 266, the legendary ex Norman Routledge Firefly Special ,with Crested Eagle engine , much campaigned in the 50's and 60's . Now under the custodianship of the Wiggins family, pere et fils, I think : In the early 1960's, as a teenager in my early teens , I was an avid regular vistor on my Dawes bicycle to Rosedene Garage , at Whinmoor, a few miles outside Leeds, to listen to the dulcet ' dear boy ' tones of Norman's pre-war tales : He had an eclectic selection of Alvii of various pedigrees , together with his sole surviving 1919 Richardson cyclecar , another one of which has subsequently emerged in Bradford. Happy days when motoring was a real pleasure !
Is it the weights that have broken off? What metal are the weights made of?
Yes, the weights have broken off. I believe they’re steel. They’re pretty heavy, that I do know.
Matti Ward Thanks for your reply. Do you use thermal imaging to check for high resistance at joints?
@@leer9951 Yes we do. These inspections are usually done in the winter, so they show up better against a colder background.
Steering wheel is incorrectly positioned .
Hi William, is that referencing the centre badge? It used to be the horn and I’ve since popped it out, spun it around and refitted. My OCD made sure it was first on the list to sort out. 😊
Sorry Rozzers, no cannabis there !!!!
We weren't the Rozzers haha
With a camera like that you must be some sort of agency that is not in the better interests of humanity either military or civilian and that includes power companies that like to put meters on energy that isn't theirs to start with.
gibbo675 Powerline Inspections - we simply transmit the generated power onwards.
With Nicola Tesla's scalar wave technology we wouldn't need power lines, or meters billing us for the energy that is already ours and not the power companies to sell, as I said not in the interest of humanity.
You're probably correct, however the lines are there, so they need checking. But hey enjoy this steam engine from yester-year and forget the modern world.
this is footage from a train simulator program modified to look like IR footage. not real.
really? What program?
its like rocketing into the sky
My curiosity bought me here... this video needs more views!
I like these videos just for the fact the met police at the back like making a lot of noise
That is so damm cool.
Those seagulls are very rare !! The Wescam is a gyro-stabilized HD camera system fitted to our helicopter, similar to Police camera systems.
Did you see the size of that seagull? What's a Wescam?
A cheery sight! :)
Really makes you think when seeing the thermal image
Stunning shots, thank you very much for posting this.
Makes the "old girl" look like a fugitive on the run!
Fantastic leave's you wanting more
Nice!..what a zoom in!!
Absolutely superb, such power, thanks
nice thanks !
Thanks Matti
The camera system is the Wescam MX10 which has HD & infrared sensors so we can inspect in the greatest detail.
Thanks for all the great comments, I inspect the powerlines in helicopters and the loco happened to be passing as we were on patrol. Perfect timing hey? Have you seen some of my other clips of things we have caught whilst airborne? I especially like the Typhoon & my friend flying the Avro Vulcan.
Amazing!
Spectacular clip! How did you get the shot! It looks like a model!
Watching the sparks fly, literally! Great as well to see technology that wouldn't look out of place on programmes like 'The World's Wildest Police Videos'! LOL Thumbs up.

Superb video, very impressive indeed.
What a great clip!
What a superb video!
Jealousy rising... Awesome sight!
Brilliant shots!
Very nice !
Hey I know those handsome chaps in that aircraft, some mighty fine powerline inspecting going on there ,
caledoniankid7 It just doesn’t have the glamour of the fixed wing side of life 🤔
Fascinating, well caught, interesting to note how hot the axle boxes are too !
Great Vid, I work At Bagby And also learning to Fly The Eurostar there so can really appreciate the views. But vey good Video :)
Sounds like Mr Ward and Mr Hemmings ???
