I have to agree, I think having Jay be the officiant actually makes more sense because he's been the one working behind the scenes the whole time to show Lian who Kuea really was when Kuea was still trying to hide his love of music from Lian. And he has been routing for Lian and Kuea since the very beginning. Plus, as Lian's business partner and a good friend of Kuea, it makes sense he would have a part in their wedding.

The lady in the pink dress at Lian and Kuea's wedding is Madam Sonoko Lee, the head of the laxative company we met briefly when they were at the wedding studio. I think she makes the joke about forgetting she is not the host of the event because one of the many things she is known for in real life is as a host for a lot of Thai events. So it's supposed to be a funny nod to the fact that she is used to being the host more than the gust at events. Plus, she is the face of the cosmetics brand Pureplus Shield, which in the past Zee and Nunew promoted, so she is good friends with ZeeNunew. For example, you may have seen her as the host of "NuNew's Memory Box" or "Zee's Memory Box" or the Cutie Pie fan event they did with ZeeNunew and P'Aof right before the end of Cutie Pie Series. She also wears pink to the wedding even though the theme is blue for the guests because I think pink is her signature color -- all the events I have seen her host with ZeeNunew have had a pink theme. She is also a well-known BL fangirl, who has her own YT channel where she reacts to BL content and she is a big fan of ZeeNunew in general, which is why she was acting so excited to see them when we saw her in ep. 2. I think most Thai viewers, and others, get the significance of her having a cameo appearance in Cutie Pie 2 You and, judging from Thai reactors reactions to her scenes, they find her character really funny.

Cutie Pie 2 You ep. 3 seemed short, because it kind of was. Unfortunately, they had to cut the bachelor party scene because Kuea's character was wearing a headdress (hat) -- the one you see Kuea carrying in his hand when he meets Lian on the beach -- during the party that many people took offense too when it was shown in the previews for the episode (people felt it was culturally insensitive), so DMD decided to cut the scene so it didn't cause any controversy. Therefore, we missed out on seeing Perth's character Jay at the party and we didn't get to see all the fun games and things they played, etc. That's why the episode ended up being several minutes shorter than originally planned.

Seeing as you love MaxNat so much, have you watched Naughty Babe yet? Naughty Babe will help you understand why Hia Yi and Diao are the way they are and all the trauma they have been through in their life. The reason why Diao is hesitating to get married will become a lot clearer in Naughty Babe, and you will see why Yi is so protective and controlling all the time. Naughty Babe is like the next chapter in the Cutie Pie Series and it follows Hia Yi and Kon Diao's backstory and will show you what their life is like several years after Lian and Kuea's wedding, etc.

Unfortunately, Lian's entire job and his whole life is in Thailand, so it's not as simple as them just packing up and moving to Korea. Plus, the Kpop culture isn't that progressive yet, and to have an idol who is just starting to establish themselves in the public eye who is openly gay and on top of that already married before debut would be a shock to the system. There are only a small number of celebrities that I know of who are openly gay in Korea and their acceptance is very marginal at best, they have had to work really hard to get to where they are and yet most people still don't fully accept them. I mean, most idols can't even date openly without getting backlash from the public -- and to be married and an Idol, we have all seen how that often causes issues. Kuea knows the Kpop culture, so he knows what he would have to sacrifice, or what he thinks he would have to sacrifice. So I can see why Kuea would have difficulty deciding what to do. In order to live his dream, he thinks he will have to give up everything else in his life. Kuea's not really lying or keeping secrets from Lian, he just hasn't decided exactly what he wants to do at that point and he needs time to process it all and to come to terms with what it would mean for him on his own first. Mentioning it right away feels a little premature to him because he isn't ready to face the issues it may cause once he says it outloud and officially makes it reality, etc. He just needs time. I'm not saying they won't find a solution or it won't end up a happy ending for everyone. I'm just saying, I understand where Kuea's internal conflict is coming from and why he would be upset when he tells Lian what he wants to do. Plus, Kuea knows how much Lian has sacrificed in his life just to get to this moment where they are married. To have to tell him that the wedding and life that he dreamed of having may not end up the way he always dreamed it to be, would be hard. I mean, Lian's entire life has pretty much revolved around Kuea and everything Lian has done is because he needed to be prepared to marry and take care of Kuea. It would be pretty hard not to feel at least a little guilt. If you look at Lian's face when Kuea tells him he wants to go to Korea to be an idol, you can see Lian also has a moment where he realizes their life may not end up exactly how he dreamed it would be, which is something he needs to process as well. But being the supportive boyfriend that he is, Lian puts his own feelings aside and puts on a brave face to show Kuea that he will always be there for him, cheering him on no matter what happens. It's not as simple as just moving to Korea, Kuea becomes a singer and Lian moves his business to Korea. Lian's career is his family's legacy and to just up and abandon everything is a big step. For Lian, in some ways, it would be like starting over from scratch, and everything he has worked hard for for the past 10+ years or more he would have to let go and start all over. I mean he has really worked hard to gain acceptance by his business partners and the people he works with, etc. To have to form new relationships and find acceptance and understanding once again -- on top of the average struggles you have as a business trying to establish itself in a new place -- in a country where you don't speak the language, etc. would be hard. (After all, Lian's family already had to do that once when they moved from China to Thailand. If it wasn't for NuKuea's grandpa helping Lian's parents out, they may never have been able to get to where they are today. Lian leaving Thailand could mean he would have to give up everything his parents sacrificed for in the first place, and start over.) Therefore, I'm sure Kuea is also conflicted by the fact that if he decides to go to Korea that means they will have to live apart for a large part of their life, and he's still not sure that he is strong enough to endure being apart, etc. Even if you are in the most healthy and stable of relationships, that is still a lot to have to consider and handle, that would be scary and hard to come to terms with regardless of the fact that they know they are completely supportive of each other's dreams.

Of course I am going to watch it, anything FreenBecky is worth watching. I love how they continuously show development in terms of acting. I had watched Uranus2324 and I know they film the movie alongside this series, and I can definitely say Becky really had shown a lot of development on her acting, and how she delivers her line, you will know how much effort she has to put into especially on this series, as even those good in Thai language said that the formal/royal Thai language used in this series is more difficult than the current normal Thai. Freen for me has always been very good with acting, how she know how to use her expressive eyes, and how can a person cry so beautiful, and as always there is something how in every character she portray there is like this signature of her, that you know only she can deliver it this way, I don't know how to explain it, she's very talented indeed. This is like their 2nd main role in a series and they already showing tremendous growth. I can't wait to see more of their journey as actresses. I won't even have to talk about their onscreen chemistry it's just chef kiss, it's not awkward, they definitely can make you feel/immersed on how much the characters love each other, their chemistry is so organic and natural. And absolutely adore how you can see and definitely feel that both have massive trust and respect between them. Looking forward to all 16 episodes, months of always waiting for Sunday to come and watch The Loyal Pin. FYI: I did read the webnovel, so somehow I have an understanding of how the series will go and what's the ending unless they change it in the series. But let's just keep in mind that this was set around 1950s and both are from Royal Family so yeah all the angst and drama will be there. But don't worry I think for the first half of the series we will have fluff, fun, and comedy since the story is from childhood to adulthood, and drama only starts when we enter the adulthood period, aren't that always even in real life. So let's all enjoy the fluff, fun and comedy and all the amazing Thai culture that will be shown in series, especially the food, since Lady Pin always prepares Thai food for Princess Anin. Soft power indeed no wonder the Ministry of Commerce chosen FreenBecky and this series to represent Thai Soft Power.
