Rafting in the Bow River – Calgary, AB
The Saraiki Waseeb Canada friends embarked on a rafting adventure down the Bow River, which flows through the heart of Calgary. The Bow River merges with the Elbow River near the historic site of Fort Calgary, close to downtown. Originating in the Canadian Rocky Mountains, the river winds through the Alberta foothills and across the prairies, eventually joining the Oldman River to form the South Saskatchewan River. The rafting trip began at Baker Park in northwest Calgary and concluded just past the Peace Bridge in downtown Calgary.

I visited January and during my stay wind was not bad just nice breeze and temperature was perfect between 20 to 26 Celsius

We have been visiting Mazatlan for forty years and it is amazing to have witnessed its changes. Back then many gringos thought we were crazy for walking the streets at night from the Mercado to the Machado and over to the Shrimp Bucket as it was dimly lit and quite honestly not the 'prettiest' side of town. About 10 - 15 years ago they undertook a huge renewal program and the downtown has grown to what you see here. It is beautiful.

Don't travel to Cuba. All money that there left is used to finance the repression. Cuba is a dictatorship, thii type of tourist enjoy the privilege denied to the cubans without freedom and rights.

During my visit there was no big concert on the beach but small performances were everywhere and in resort there was live performances every night

A lot of cities would love to have an area like this, golf course, baseball stadium, tennis courts, horse racing, Japanese gardens, swimming pool, lots of motels, restaurants,beautiful residences, no violence.... very nice. (I'm not with city council/chamber of commerce).

In the resort there were number of counters of tour operators - they do booking for various excursions and tours - price range goes from $40 to 60, most of them includes lunch as well

How long was the drive from the airport? Did u use cancun airport?
Mazatlan has its own airport and this place is around 30 minutes from the airport.

Not every beach in Mexico is Cancun... this place is literally in the opposite side of the country
How dense can you be ? Cancun is on the Caribbean side, Mazatlan is on the Pacific side 🤣 Distance is well over 1000 miles away 🤦🏻♂️

how much was the bus fare to ride ??
I think day pass on this bus was around $5 and you can ride whole day, as many times as you want
$5.00 For 100 pesos ($1.00 Canadian) if you are in town you can ride an "orange road train " for a 1 1/2 hour return ride and see the same thing and its a fun ride.

Very nice. The walk/no talk really gives a sense of what you would notice for yourself when checking the place out. Much appreciated. I have a question: That Jacuzzi @2:13 .... does it work? A lot of hot tubs in Cuba are just cold pools, usually not hot, and often the jets don't even work!
During my stay in this resort hot tubs were working properly

No one should be traveling to Cuba right now. We should be supporting the Cuban people by not supporting the Cuban government tourism industry. The islands tourist industry only benefits the abusive criminal government. Please don’t encourage travel to Cuba. It’s not safe, you will come back home with bacteria in your stomach due the the water. Even bottled water is refilled and you don’t know with what. The food is not palatable. Not really disco but in there main auditorium after the end of night show they have DJ and dance floor setup, some people do burn there energy on music
How much entrance fee
During Zoo lights entry fee is same as regular Calgary Zoo entry and also they have special passes given by sponsored corporations
how good was the food, rooms and cleanliness?
Everything is excellent!
Cleanliness of the room and entire resort was excellent. Food was fresh and quality was good. People like me who like more flavored and spicy food, it was not that great. I saw some of the guests were carrying sauce and dry species to sprinkle on the food to make it flavored. In my next visit to Cuba I will bring hot sauce and spices too.
