Can you limit the charge to like 85%? I know lithium batteries dont like to be at 100% all the time, and it reduces their life expectancy.

IMO you should get a proper CPU tower cooler which blows heat out of the rear. Because the Boxed cooler just blows hot air straight down on your mainboard instead OUT of the case.. Further more your mainboard is kinda weird, the top PCIe slot should be where the GPU goes. I would also throw the optical drive out so you can add another BIG case fan in. Generally speaking bottom & front of the case should pull air in, rear & top should blow air out. But since its 2 years ago, is it still alive?

Just about to install mine! I have morel components in front and coax in rear. Considering running it biamp. Have you tried this?

That’s pretty cool. That’s VERY cool. What’s the longest you can get that blade? How fast does it go off? It’s a two step thing. Would it scare the crap out of someone? I’ll explain: I ride a tiny vehicle around New York. I’ve gotten into enough trouble that I carry a magicians cane. Yes, the truck kind that a magician isn’t holding and then suddenly is. Harmless, it’s rolled up tinfoil on a spring BUT it comes with a dramatic swoosh and then suddenly there’s a “weapon”. Would this have a similar effect? It someone pulled that on you (you mugger) would it scare the hell out of you and your run or would you laugh while I fumbled around with some buttons?

With OCLP 2.2.0 you can upgrade to OS 15.2 om the 6,1 and for the most part, it works great. You have to start with the most recent OS the machine supports, download the OCLP software then just follow the directions to make a USB install stick and go .... I have tried FCP, CapCut and a few others. There ARE a few caveats, like Chrome or Edge need to be initially launched from a command line, then go into settings and change a setting and you are good. Spotify needs to be launched from the same command line, so I put it into an AppleScript app to launch Spotify....I think for the most part everything else runs that I tested, I did run into one driver that I needed to install manually as the installer failed but once installed it worked great. BTW, since OCLP created an EFI boot partition, you can also install Windows 11 rather easily and install the bootcamp drivers..makes a great Windows 11 workstation as well.

I am having trouble charging a battery (Spektrum 11.1V 1300mAh 3S 30C Smart LiPo Battery: IC3) with this mini charger. Any advice? its giving me the 50% light flashing with red warning light, suggesting the fault is a charging connector or balance port is off. I don't know what to do differently other than buy a different battery or charger.

I've had mine since 2013 upgraded to 64GB and its been running like a beast since then. Main purpose is using it as a Plex media server. I recently learned about open core so will try to install Sonoma. Any issue with this for anyone whose tried it ?
