Wolfsbane 🤔

^this Sage is one of the few that can power a lane all by herself. It's not easy to come by replacements for that, but Wolfsbane on a Wong will do the trick in most cases.

That's a rough one to replace if I'm being honest, but i was having some success with Ironheart. I'd swap it out for that, or maybe Wolfsbane to give another card that has potential to get big.

Oh yes, its very evil lol. But god damn its fun to be on the winning side of it from time to time. I have also had to craft a couple of decks to counteract them. I feel like decks like this are pretty common right now specifically since Swarm just released.

I had issues with my hand overfilling because of lanes. I can play an early Swarm and open a spot back up in my hand for a new card while still having Scorn for the discard synergy. If I replace Swarm with Apoc then I lose that option.

Yes exactly. I was initially trying Apocalypse, Scorn and Dracula, but I rarely found a time to put dracula on a lane and Apoc was always just a card that was stuck in my hand. Switching to Morbius and Swarm just helps clear that slot early and made it just a little bit more consistent.

I don't understand what you mean? He still gets big with the Wong triggers and either Zola or Taskmaster will get the win. Could you explain a little bit further?

Ooohhhh yeah. I only use Panther on the same lane as Wong for these strategies so Shang-Chi has been an issue since the decks conception. I've actually used it as bait before for Shang-Chi just so I can Sage and Zola the following turn. I feel like its part of the risk of running this combo, but I think its also fair to say that every deck has some risks it has to take in order to make its thing work.

The easiest option would be Ironheart. Taskmaster becomes less reliable though and only works if you have Black Panther in hand. You would want to rely more on making Iron Man copies at two locations and getting as many Ironheart triggers as you can.

It would be a rough ride for sure without Shuri. You could try to replace Nico with Nova, but there aren't a super lot of ways to be able to get Nimrods power that high without the doubler. I'd say swap Nico for Nova and Shuri with Attuma for your best odds.

I feel this deeply. I've had such a hard time playing Wong lately. It seems like everyone has the exact answer at just the exact time every time. I've resorted to using Invisible Woman in my deck to try to protect myself from the disruption.

Destroyer makes a good replacement. It gets around Cosmo and Alioth really well and a good alternative turn 6 win condition.

Thanks! And great question. No, there are no cards that I am waiting to try in the deck. My only flex spot was the spot that Sera fills now, but trying to play the deck without her now is so much less consistent. I've been playing games where I wont play Nimrod until turn 7 and still can Venom + Carnage for a win only because she is in the deck. Do you have any suggestions on cards that would be worth swapping in?

@@Depriesticles it seems silly but you already have all the pieces for the insane and recently buffed Black Panther combo. That might be a better back-up plan than Sera. I'm also thinking about Blink. Shuri into Blink will either give you Nimrod or 2x 14-power Blinks (Zola). Arana is only a 2-power buff to Nimrod but it's useful to have early cards to play on some locations I guess.

You know what? I don't own Blink and never even considered that as an option, but you may be on to something. That sounds like it could be really cool. I tried Arana for a handful of games, but the buff never hit Nimrod because of other setup plays that were just better. I was on a similar thought process when Arana first came out though. As far as Black Panther, I have a different deck that uses that combo and I didn't like the redundancy between them. That is my previous vid if you wanted to check that one out and let me know your thoughts too?

I know right?!? It was a happy accident that it turned out so good. I love the character customization in this game.

I was using one of those in the early stages of the build, but I found that the ones I included in the build are much better. The multi-hydra does quite a lot of damage, but not as much as the winged companions. Especially because the feriore with crossbolts debuffs everything along side of the pretty good damage they already do. Its possible to replace the legendary gun with a multi-hydra, but I think I still wouldnt use it over any of the other weapons included personally.

The second tree is unlocked at a certain point in the story. Just keep on plugging away at the game and you'll get to it. Happy gaming friend!

Thank you very much for the kind words! I appreciate that so much! The gun in the first gun slot is a feriore with wings and the increased damage bolts. If you go to 13:50 in the video you can see what Im talking about. Does that answer your question or am I misunderstanding something?

​@@Depriesticles I think I may have misunderstood you, actually. I thought you meant that the crossbolts buff ALL damage. After listening to it again, though, I think that was my monkey brain not working right lol. side note: It is taking longer to get a single master rune than It did to find a chaotic scarlet claw :O
