    @15:32 lol, I've lost count how many times I've played TNT and it's the same thing for me on this level once I have the blue and yellow key... always completely confused on how to get the red key and to that upper walkway, hahahaha. Great run so far though!

    @10:07 Yeah... didn't want the player to have to deal with them *and* the archvile the switch opens up at the same time. :D @18:31 YES! @21:49 Ooops... I'll fix that, it's meant to! lol @23:38 Lol... not intended, but doesn't break anything, haha. lol... the building that had the 3 imps, 3 shotgunners and the switch when you hit that switch, the building next to it opens... I may have to angle the door so it's clearer on exiting that building. You've got yourself in a bit of an unintended tight spot here... I might have to go back and add some extra ruined fencing to stop the player from jumping down to that spot there. Sorry about that! :O @29:30 Ohh... an unintended potential softlock there... I'll have to think about that as the switch inside the room opens the wall again. @35:34 Phew... I was getting worried there... not the intended way to do that at all... I'm intentionally not adding areas that require strafe running to progress because I, too, am terrible at it, lol... it's cool that you can get around it that way, as it doesn't break anything, but I was worried it was going to prove unwinnable.... well done! @36:00 Nah... the building next to it with the imps and the shotgunners opened that building up... I may have to angle the door so it can be see when you exit the other building easier... this is the way you're meant to come... then go to the small archie / rev room to head to the yellow door and then come back with the red key, lol. @36:52 You'll find it when you find the Super Secret Secret, which you will certainly find... @41:35 Charging in is definitely the intended method of approach here! XD @47:12 No ambush... the trial leading up to the blue key was brutal enough... XD @49:36 Hazzah!!!! XD @57:06 Funny you should say that... @1:00:12 In the normal (blue) mode, those chaingunners are just imps. @1:10:26 YES!!! You found the lavafall secret!!!!!!!!!! XD The final secret is in the room the chaingunners are in, at @1:06:57 That was a great run! I'm definitely going to have to address the strafe run thang and the visibility of that door that leads to the teleport to the blue key, but all in all that was fun. Incidentally, had you dropped into the pit in the lava, you would have fallen down to the 9th level of hell and an icy trap! Glad the health felt well balanced... was a tough one to get right. I'm pretty excited to see the next level, I had a lot of fun creating it... it's tough too... the difficulty has started ramping towards to final act, as they say... but I'm hoping there will be more than enough ammo... at the end of the next level, you'll be able to switch to the newer version and continue on. Great run! You handled those traps so well!

      @21:49 It gave me much needed relief. @23:38 Took me long enough to make that jump and yes it took me a while to figure out how to get past this part. @29:30 Not sure if a timed reopening is possible, but a player like me put themself in that position, so probably should have to deal with it. Ha ha! @35:34 I do tend to make things harder than they should be. Thanks for the hint for the final secret! Thank You! You've seen enough of my videos to know I get confused on where to go fairly easily. I probably made things harder than they should have been. I'm going to have to go back & drop in that pit. You were more than generous on the health. I like to give it away, obviously. All joking aside, this was my favorite level of the Wad so far. It ticked all the boxes for me. As you know, I like playing Ancient Aliens, Sunlust, & Sunder. I love a challenge and your maps just keep getting better and better. Keep up the good work!

      @@Sockeydoesstuffgaming-bj2gm Hehe, turns out I did catch that non-hurting lava at some point and fixed it for V0.06... then promptly forgot, as I went to fix it whilst I was watching the video and it was already done. That strafe jump down to the lower platform is now blocked by some bent fencing, as is the strafe jump down from the other side. As for the potential softlock if a player runs out of that archie/rev room, drops into the pit and takes the teleport out... I gave the wall that closes a door repeatable tag on the outside and changed the texture of the door from the marble brick to support 2, so it's clear the player can get back inside. It was a situation I never foresaw whilst I was playtesting through, hahaha. You're going to love the decoration in that final secret I think... the same table appears a few more times even later, with modifications to show their progress... that will make sense once you see it! ;D I'm glad the health felt generous... I definitely want the player in some moments of panic due to health, but I'm trying to ensure that that health is always somewhere nearby to regain. I'm glad this has been your favorite level so far! XD I think my favorites so far are the next one, level 16, 17 and 31 so far! Funny you should mention Ancient Aliens and Sunlust... I've been trying to draw a bit of inspiration from them for traps as I've been watching your playthroughs... Trying to figure out how they managed to get enemies coming at all angles and acting like sniper turrets etc no matter where you go... the Arachnotrons shooting across the river in the final gauntlet of level 10 was the result of that inspiration. So was the blue room key in this level! Still haven't managed to get anything on that level created but I think the traps are definitely improving! XD You'll get the first non-secret BFG in the next level... right as SHTF at the end of the level... Find the fireblue to find the super secret secret again (it's near the yellow key)... it's not needed... but makes that ending fight much easier!!!

    You can play the Legacy of Rust file in GZDoom, if you want to still use mouselook. That's what I did, just drag and drop the id1 wad onto GZDoom. lol, I wasn't sure if it would run it when trying intitally. It's hard going back to the neck brace after free look! This levels music gives me strong Castlevania vibes. @19:03 That zombieman walked in front of that revenant at just the right moment! @1:08:19 Nicely done! Was close there! haha! XD Damn good run! Such a rough level! This whole wad is brutal. That last fight is next level mean! Well done taking the win! XD

      I got spoiled with being able to look around with the mouse. That crosshair should help me, but for some reason is more of a distraction. We'll see how the next couple levels go. I may end up running it in GZDoom. Thanks for the heads up! Was very greatful that Zombieman was willing to do that for me. Thought the Mancubus had me for sure. Thank you! Hopefully they give a bunch of ammo in the next map. Ran really low on this one.

    @2:57 I keep meaning to look inside the Plutonia wad to see how this box works, but then forget to... I did see an explaination by... I think it was Decino, who mentioned a dummy control sector and a voodoo doll, iirc. But it all went over my head at the time... that was way back when I first started working on a level. But it would be an awesome little mechanic to introduce in something in the future! OOh... I just quickly checked it... it's literally a dummy sector with a lift in it and a voodoo doll hanging over the edge, with a plasma gun on the lower section, so when the lift lowers, the voodoo doll picks it up! :O That's freaking groovy! @17:01 lol, I was totally on the same page, expecting an ambush when you picked up that blue skullkey. Hahaha. @18:35 DAY-UM! Nice score! @27:02 Nicely done! Nice run! I have to ask... are you still working on your levels? I'm still hoping I get to play them some day! :D

      That is a neat mechanic. Thank you! This one seemed easier than the ones before, but I think playing Ancient Aliens, Sunlust, & Sunder before this made it appear that way. Was working on putting in the slopes where I wanted them on my 1st level last week. Been so long since I did anything in UDB I had to watch some videos to relearn it. Need to figure out how to do a title screen and once level 1 is done I'll upload it. Then I'll just add levels as they are complete like you did as new versions. If I could go back, I would have done a simpler map & added a little more to each map after (since it is my 1st map). I'm one of those that tries to make something huge & looks at it later & doesn't like how it turns out, then feels the need to change it. Have the concepts for several maps. The one I was going to submit to RAMP 2024 I really enjoyed making. I want to give it better textures. Was also working on a custom boss for the end of it because it is meant to be the midway point of the WAD. I'll do a teaser video of that level soon.

      @@Sockeydoesstuffgaming-bj2gm Hahaha, yeah I think most things would feel easy after Ancient Aliens, Sunlust and Sunder! :D OMG, that mechanic really is neat! I ended up putting it into level 20 of "DDDOBB?" as the way to pick up the yellow key and the red key, respectively... although I want to see if there is a way I can get it to drop one item on the first pass and a second, different item on the second pass, in vanilla doom 2 format... although I did find out you can stack items, so that you can say, pick up *all* weapons when walking over the linedef trigger! Ooooh, I'm so glad to hear you haven't stopped working on your project! I completely understand the sentiment of making a simpler level 1 if you could go back... I think I may have done the same. It's easy to get swept away with grand ideas and realize you need to tone it back a little! :D Can't wait to see what you had been planning to submit to RAMP24! Chubzdoomer has a video titled "(Doom Builder) TITLEMAP Tutorial (Make Awesome Title Screens!)" which shows you how to do a Doom 64 style animated title screen, but I haven't experimented with that, so not sure how difficult it is to do. Search for that title and it should pop up. Also, do a search for "Replace title screen replacement video - Let's learn GZDoom builder with Lazygamer"... this video shows you how to replace the static image, like I've done for "DDDOBB?".

      It's at 3.0 Battle Rating so been trying to max it out to bring in the next one. It's a good little Anti-Aircraft vehicle if you use it right. I destroyed an M-10 with a side shot at it's turret ring using it before, so I was quite impressed. I would guess they had a full load of ammo making it easier to go boom, but still.

      Always enjoy when the makers of these maps reply. This was a very creative map and I really enjoyed playing it. Like I said in the video, I am bad at timed jumps & platforming, but it is good practice for me. Maybe someday I will finish Map 022. Thanks for watching & commenting!

    @30:11 Yeah, I played through the stand alone RC1 final version of the level. The only difference I noticed was the ending not bbeing complete in this version, from what I could tell. That was great! Nice run! :D IIRC, had you headed back to the tail before heading up to the exit area, there should have been another secret that opened up at the same time that second archvile is revealed.

    Might have to turn down the in game master volume in your doom videos... the new headphones make everything nice and clear but the music and sound were drowning you out in that legacy of doom video where as this is strikingly not. :O It only really hit me because of the contrast, haha. Lol, imagine being in that plane as it was landing in the end right there! That's a hairy ride!

      Thanks for the suggestion. This has the new mic. The Legacy of Rust I think still had the old one, but I do need to turn the game volume down. I'll mess with it some more. I think the only 2 quiet ones left are the TNT & Hell Forged videos. That would have been a wild ride, for sure.

    The music in this level gives me strong Super Castlevania IV vibes! Has the same epic quality the music from that game has! :D How nasty are those new lost soul variants!!!! :D ... but wait until you see the new Arachnotrons.... ouch! @31:29 The puzzle with the pipes in this room is such a cool mechanic for them to have added! @1:04:50 Yeah, I found it to be very confusing at this point in the level as well. I haven't really watched many other play throughs of LoR, so I'm not sure how others went, but some levels definitely have a high confusion level. Great run! XD

      It does have great music. Those lost souls do overwelm me at times. Look forward to seeing the new arachnotrons. I thought the Ancient Aliens ones were neat. It took me a bit to figure out that puzzle, but thought it was clever as well. It doesn't take much for me to get confused in some maps. Thanks for the heads up!

      Yes! Hydrofoil. That is way more techy than fancy floaty boat. Couldn't think of the name of it at the moment. Navy battles have the longest wait times it seems.

    Heya Sockey! Sorry for the harsh start with this one, 8 rounds, no health... army of chaingunners... I've added a bit more ammo for V0.06... (Check out the preview clips I posted for level 17, 18 and 32 in particular... I think you'll like the look of 18!) Also... those chain gunners are now largely imps, with a couple of shotgunners. Again... really sorry for that! XD On the bright side, that helped me balance things better. I remembered you had mentioned something about that during one of your videos and set the ole ticker to how I could make it a bit fairer. @7:32 Yeah, the Ferryman is off somewhere. :D The name of the level is a reference to 'the fifth circle of hell' which is where that river is, of course, located. :) It's also where the city of Dis can be found... Doomguy went there in Doom 1... deep in the center of the city to kill the Spider Mastermind. This ends at the Dis city gates, that lie at the end of the River Styx. @9:46 ... I'm so, so sorry... there is much more health here and through out the rest of the level, along with ammo now though... @14:43 Thanks. XD I needed another texture to use exclusively in hell zones beside that red and white rock theme. The Marble is exclusively earthly zones. So I made these. :D Places where they green marble appears with hell zone textures, as they do later (levels 16-18)... the veil is highly blurred and both realms are one. The Hellmerge has begun... };D @17:46 NICE! Very nicely done! Well plasma'd my friend! @27:54 }8D *evil finger steeple of doom* That played out precisely as I had planned! XD @33:47 XD There is a second warehouse secret like this one now in V0.06 working file. It has Indiana Jones' hat and whip tucked away in a corner. I might put it in this one too, as this secret was supposed to have the ark of the covenant in it, hinting it was the warehouse from the end of the film. I didn't know how to do the hat and whip at the time, as a substitute. @39:00 I was very much being inspired by Plutonia throughout this one... this one and level 15. XD @41:48 }8D @42:34 I don't blame you for it! You've been doing a freaking amazing job given your start! :D @43:03 SICK! That's a friend of mine over here, he lives roughly an hour North of me. That's his twitch channel. XD @46:28 They feel like they are to me as I watch this too, but they're just regular arachnotrons... so I don't think they are. @47:23 The Gates of Dis, which lie at the end of the River Styx, a giant, gated wall that marks the start of the outskirts of Dis and eventually leads deep down into its center... as described by Dante in ze very famous poem... @54:04 That was smoooooth, like a criminal! @56:34 That's just the texture, combined with a flickering light sector effect. With rather chunky lighing sectors... you can see them if you look at the roof closely. :D @1:07:37 Hit that switch again, at the very start of the next level, before you do anything... and be on the look out for 'waterfalls'... you'll thank me! ;D That was a freaking awesome run! By the way... when the image lowered at the switch, to show a version of the gate with the barrier lowered, a red blemish appeared at the lower right... shoot it for a secret there... and the texture that alerted you to the warehouse... look for that in the corridor just before the door that lead to the shortcut. As for the super secret secret... after you take the first boat, if you can deal with the pain elemental and chaingunners, there is a door you can see across the canyon. You have to shoot it to reveal the first eye. XD Thank you for playing and sharing! I really hope you enjoyed it! Oh... fun little tid bit... lvl 31 is currently the hardest level in the wad now! :D I don't know how hard 32 is going to prove to be.

      The chaingunners got me bad at the start, Was wondering if I'd be able to make it through this level. I was lucky several times and made it, though. I'll play the V0.06 going forward so it gives the most up to date experience. Played this map right after level 9. This video & the next Ancient Aliens are one I recorded a while back. Want to find that Indiana Jones secret. That is a cool reference. I thought it was neat how the monster found the shout-out secret for me. The texture with the candles looked great. Made me look a few times. Thanks for the tip about the switch. Been trying to find one of those secrets every time I see a waterfall. Appreciate the tips for the other secrets! Hopefully I'll have more health & ammo starting 31 & 32 (or if they are secret levels, I'll be able to find them). Even though I struggle on this map, I thought it was great. The theme here is awesome! Like noted before, I will get V0.06 to play for the videos. I do want to continue this version afterwards because I do enjoy seeing these maps develope over time. Looking forward to the next one!

      ​@@Sockeydoesstuffgaming-bj2gm I'm about to start playtesting, so hopefully Version 0.06 will be released sometime this week. :D I rewatched your play throughs from level 7-9 a couple of times whilst working on this update, and went back and added extra ammo and health in every level from 8 onwards, lol. I ended up changing those chaingunners at the start of level 10 for imps because I was doing a full playtest, taking the normal or easy path and they were just chewing me up from across the river styx... It was way too brutal. Indiana Jones secret is found in level 31. Both 31 and 32 are the secret levels for the megawad. You'll have to find the fireblue shoutout in the very starting room of level 15, to access the super secret secret sigils. Then entrance to the first secret level is behind a hidden wall at the top of the lift with the megasphere. I'm going to also put it in the warehouse secret you found, so it'll be there too, in version 0.06. In level 31, find the fireblue next to the yellow skull key door... then look for the different texture near the actual shoutout. That's the exit for level 32. If you ever want to make use of textures I've created for DDDOBB, like the candles, feel free to do so! :D The tip with regards to the switch for level 11, will give you Super Secret Secret and Fireblue Shoutouts. The waterfall you're going to be wanting to look out for is actually a lavafall. ;) Hopefully I've got the health and ammo balance right with V0.06... this level wasn't meant to be quiet this rough... level 12 on the otherhand... I've actually kept copies of each version update on my pc and kept them on ModDB, archived for much the same reason. It's nice to look back and see how things evolved. :D Like I say, I'm hoping to have V0.06 released sometime this week or next, so the included save files will be at the end of level 12 and end of level 15. At least if the ammo / health situation is a bit rough in 11 and 12 in this version, you'll be able to continue on without too much pain. :D

    I am just a playtest of the hard mode to go for V0.05 before it gets released. You will be happy to hear after I watched this video and rewatching level 8’s play through…. I’ve gone through and added some extra ammo and health In levels 8-12. Some got a bit more than others, but it shouldn’t be *quite* as brutal. XD
