Our diets are shitty here in states! I try to eat organic etc yet it's 3 times higher for some reason... Thank You For all you do and say... sending good vibes !
I think it's pretty good- been using for a few months now
Nice. Thank you for sharing your wisdom with us! I've recently started using ANKI and I love it
i used the kaishi deck in the beginning and really liked it. the problem with it is, that it only has 1500 words. i dont think 1.5k words is enough to start sentence mining on your own. you‘d mine every sentence you will encounter because a vocabulary of just 1500 is far from enough to understand native material. making sentence mining a tedious and frustrating endeavor. the worst part is, when you finish the kaishi deck and realize that your vocabulary is still not sufficient to mine sentences without getting too frustrated, you‘d have to start all over again with a new, larger deck like the core6k which would even waste more time. if the people who made the kaishi deck included at least 3k words i‘d say that deck would be all you need and after finishing that you can move on to making your own cards. but the core6k, even if the deck itself is inferior, is a much better ressource that gets you much further and offers more value than the kaishi 1.5k.
I can see where you’re coming from, 1.5k definitely doesn’t feel like enough but I believe they’ve made the right choice of words given the limited. The main philosophy is that it doesn’t really matter, you should just mine the words that stick out to you, not every single word you don’t understand. You will see improvement by just having more input.
This is such practical advice. Thank you.
Thanks, found you throw the twitter post under the duolingo article. Been learning the lettering and etc of japaense and boutta take the next step.
