It's tricky. Shadowbolt is good because you can throw it on the move. It's also good because you can spend your Nightfall procs alot faster than Drain Soul. On the other hand, playing with Drain Soul will provide you more Crescendo procs, which overall makes more damage. You will also be able to snipe free shards from dying mobs. So it's up to your playstyle, although Drain Soul sims a little highter than Shadowbolt. Keep in mind that sims are stationary, no movemement is involved. Personally, I play with Shadowbolt, because any Drain Soul you didnt cast or cancelled its channel due to movement, is a dps loss. And if you play Soul Harvester, shard management is less of an issue compared to Hellcaller. This way, you eliminate the pros of Drain Soul in a realistic dungeon, so for me the winner is Shadowbolt.

For soul harvester sb 100%. For hellcaller you can play either, sb is nice for movement/easier to play and drain soul is nice for shards

They’re both good. I think most people will see better results with sb due to ease of use, and sb is tuned very well right now.

Thanks bro appreciate it. Performance wise they are very close. Personally I enjoy hellcaller more, SH can be very rapture spammy at times. SH has a slight edge in the defensive value the tree provides though which can definitely play a role in higher keys

@@Vlox_Gaming Yeah honestly i haven't touched HC for a few weeks now on the beta, I'll be interested to see the final product. Theyre definitely both fun just find HC lacks in ST a bit and theyre both great in AoE scenarios. It's definitely great to see both hero talents viable and probably interchangable. Probably wont see much HC in raid at this rate but thats fine.

Well it boosts mr damage, does about 3-4% overall already (theoretically higher due to the globals it saves you + the mr damage) in a key which is very solid. If they lowered the cd they’d probably just end up removing the agony application entirely, which is exactly how the spell was before

@@Vlox_Gaming I get it, but at the same time damage isn't my concern. Rather, it's that it feels clunky and archaic to manually refresh dots on a bunch of mobs. It's the same with how Destro would have to manually apply Immolate because they refuse to make Cata baseline. Just nerf VT damage to compensate for the slightly lower CD.

They both seem pretty strong right now. The only thing i noticed while testing is that i maybe burst higher with soul harvester. Also shadow bolt does more damage as far as I know right now

You have be sniping lots of shards to make it worth it, if you're not doing that shadow bolt is probably better

@@slipknotpurity00 Since Soul Rot provides you with 3 shards, I think shard management via DS sniping is less of important, so I guess that makes SB better.

Wdym? I have different binds for them, if you’re referring to infernal bolt that’s from the diabolist tree and it just replaces incinerate for one cast when it procs

They’ve nerfed a lot of specs (aff) and then proceeded to immediately buff other ones right after so idk what their tuning target is anymore. Also enhance has been slamming in keys when i’ve played with good ones

If you’re playing doom yes you need to spread it like a dot

I think they’ve done a decent job tuning on beta so far. The only thing that has been really out of left field was the diabolist demon buffs, which is/was obviously an overcompensation. I say that because aff used to be doing this much damage and they tuned it down, so I can only assume they don’t want us doing this much damage. The cool part is there are other specs on other classes doing this much damage too so no one even knows at this point
