Chamber is aim based but has a different and harder role to fulfill

If talking about quantity of learning Sova would be higher as Breach would be higher if I was talking about how easy it is to learn an agent. Sova struggles to find impact in soloq, when you have no impact, it's harder to improve your decision making. Breach only gets you so far, I agree that he is going to teach you supportive play, but that gets you very little in soloq on top of being learned by other agents with other deeper avenues of learning. Chamber vs Reyna is the same conversation as Jett vs Reyna, Jett has utility that pushes you to make decisions. Chamber has utility that makes you think about how to use it. Am I going to play the off angle this round? Do I start on the box this round? Do I lurk this round, where do I place the trap then? Reyna thinks the most about positioning which you get from other agents too and leer position which is an insular skill and leer timing which may be shared with other flash timings so learn it on an agent with better paths to learn.

I would say Cypher usually goes B in my experience but I wouldn't force any agent to predetermined positions.

​@@xen0453It's just that there's usually killjoy and cypher (normally in my rank) Killjoy is good at B, Especially in that corridor, if you put everything right you'll save about 40 seconds.

Thanks for the feedback, I agree! I create scripts for other videos but not this format and as you have pointed out, it shows when I don't have a script. I am actively making changes to help me with this specific problem already.

Dizzy lineups are rarely needed but when you can guarantee info on site like this one, it can be important to use it.

I recommend Instalocking one or two of: Jett, Raze and Omen. These are the best agents to learn with! But I think instalocking is good on it's own for consistency, so what agent is getting locked is a different conversation. I feel ya, duelist is just the most conventionally fun role so it becomes the most played and gets a lot of instalockers. If instalocking is sadistic then filling is masochistic. I have done both to imm3 so which am I?😂 Just wanna quickly edit and say: I instalock controller alot and as said in the video I recommend you do so, no matter the role.

Not necessarily, if there are 2 players wanting to play the same agent everyone can't play what they want. EVERYBODY is practicing a character in every comp game. If you are serious about ranking up, you will be using competitive games to learn and understand the game, even Radiant players are doing this. How do you expect Radiant players to change role if they want to? They aren't playing unrated, they want the best environment to punish them for the bad plays so they know what good ones look like at their ceiling. Technically bad players are relative to the skill of the person judging, but if we look at the player base as whole, bad players would be below average, so below gold. However, if you are aiming to be the best at the game, bad players are going to be anything below your current ceiling. The analogy is problematic, murder and instalocking is not comparable. An analogy I would use would be: You have to do a bike time trial against 4 other players, you have to have an initial foot race to get to the bike you want. The fastest bike will be most players choice, with some going to their preferred bike instead. You do this 10 times per day for 7 days. You get a point for winning a bike time trial set. The points are compared after 7 days. Why would you let someone take the fastest bike and your most preferred bike just so you perform slower and lose out on points. You are the common denominator in every single one of your games, to win vs the ladder after all the games, you need to be as consistent as possible. The ranked ladder is interesting like this, you are competing against your teammates in the grand scheme of the ladder and have to play a game with those 4 players vs 5 other players you are also more directly competing against. Obviously, you should still be a good teammate, not being toxic etc. One of the main things here, is that you can't off load the choice to somebody else, why give every 4 teammates you play with in every game the power to impact your consistency so heavily. "ok but, if NOBODY instalocks... can't EVERYONE play who they wanna be?" This is too idealistic for the reality of the situation. Players are going to instalock and it would be nice if you can work with eachother and find the best comp for the 5 players. Good luck convincing the Jett main to not instalock in the 0.1 seconds before they do. This will be something "fixed" by pick phases (I don't know if pick phases would be better for the ranked experience without seeing it.) similar to LoL, until then, instalocking makes the most sense for consistency and improvement as a player.

Recon initiators are the worst to play in ranked, I tell you this as a previous Sova one trick 😂

True, most players that want to climb will never get to the point where instalocking makes less sense than filling.

True to an extent, they are terrible at Valorant. They are not terrible at climbing the ranked ladder, these are 2 different things. Being a plat level Jett is enough to get to plat if they get Jett majority of the time. They don't need anymore knowledge in anything else other than the things relevant to their Jett. As said in the video, they will be refining Jett skills AND transferable skills against better players. So when the time comes (Imm2+) and they broaden their agent pool/game knowledge they don't get tricked into thinking bad plays are good, as bad plays are less likely to work against better and better players.

​@@xen0453 I just think a good foundation is more important than just climbing. While limiting yourself too a small amount of agents has positive aspects I think having an understanding of how other roles work is important not just to be able to flex into them but to understand how your teammates in that role are thinking as well as your opponents and the latter can be used to find weaknesses in their play.

What does a good foundation actually mean to you? I think getting to imm2 on 1 agent probably means you have a sufficient enough foundation. Your mechanical skill is most likely there, you probably have at least a basic understanding of the macro on the maps in rotation and know how to play against the most common agents. That is a good foundation. You don't need to play all roles to understand what all the roles are doing. You just may not know exactly how they function but that knowledge is almost irrelevant to anything lower than imm1-imm2. There are much more important things to focus on for your improvement before this point.

If you are Gold you do not have basic knowledge of any agent or you can not take a gunfight. Knowledge about an agent is not about what the can do but rather about how the should use their kit

I think it matters. Its in the same category as cheating and stream sniping. Doesn’t matter in the real world, still a massive piece of shit if you do it.
