1. Has the problem been clearly defined and understood? By that, I mean, have we spoken to customers and established whether the problem you’re working on solving actually exists and if it does exist - and this is a trap I see so many teams fall into - IF IT DOES EXIST, do they care enough about it to solve it? Does it cause deep enough pain? Without this foundation, you’re going to jump into d...

But this was leading to massive failure rates, and companies started to realise that they were ignoring market needs. And since then, the concept of product/market fit has become widely accepted and implemented in t...

The third phase of Corporate Innovation is spot on. Even most old school Exec teams understand design thinking theory and lean testing... the blocker still remains that they don't know how to get out of their own way and make innovation practically happen. Time and time again in different businesses you see the "doom loop" of limited access to money without a business case ... but you can't build a business case without some money. MVP in some Exec's minds seems to translate into "cost free", the clue is in the name though, it is a 'Minimum' viable product, implying that there is a threshold under which it is NOT viable! To get to a minimum in a product that they are hoping will provide some meaningful impact in 9/10 cases will require investment.
