Firespiral Slings jacquard woven baby wraps are made entirely within the North of England. We formed in 2012 and use small, local producers and suppliers wherever possible, with ecological and ethical production embedded into our ethos. Our designs are inspired by the universal patterns in nature that stray into both science and myth; the magical way in which we are connected to the world and its rhythms.They are all hand drawn by us. We are committed to creating comfortable, easy to use slings and making them as widely available as possible to help grow the vibrant babywearing community.

The front reinforced torso carry carries your baby on your front or hip, and works for all age of baby from newborn to pre-schooler. It is similar to the traditional hip carry but it has an extra layer of fabric passed around your baby (which 'reinforces' the first pass). It uses a short wrap, usually a base-3 size. If you don't have the original yarn then cotton embroidery thread is a good alternative
Hello ! I am having a couple of problems with our zebulo. One is that the straps keep shuffling to my neck (ouch) even though I've pulled the back cross low as possible, and babies bum doesn't seem to feel as supported as she was in the zensling. The zebulo is definitely a better fit for her but wonder if there's something obvious that I'm doing wrong. I loved the way it came packaged from firespiral. Thank you :)

Why don't you simply use a baby carrier instead of taking all the pain wrapping the baby. It is easy to wrap a doll not a baby especially when you have to go out urgently...
There are lots of benefits of woven wrap carriers over structured ones, and it doesn't take long to tie a wrap when you're used to it. It takes just as long to adjust an uncomfy carrier that cannot mould to your body the ways a wrap can. I've carried 3 children this way and it has always been a very practical method. I actually find it much easier to wrap a real baby than a doll!
I find it more difficult to wrap a doll than to wrap my children, even when they’re fussy and flailing. And wrapping is way, way faster for me than adjusting the clips, straps, and buckles of a buckle carrier.❤
@@colleenrivera8287 we completely agree! Perhaps wrapping looks more difficult to people observing from the sidelines, because it is remarkably simple to do (otherwise it wouldn't be done by so many people worldwide)

This is the best (and one of the only) tutorials about mending holes in woven wraps! There is alot of misinformation running rampant in my local group (maybe the US?) that once a wrap gets a hole it's done for. This was so clear and helpful, thanks!

thank you so much for doing this video! One question, if a wrap has a slight crackle sound when stretched but still has lots of diagonal stretch, does that mean it is felted to the point of not being usable to carry a child?
the diagonal stretch is the important factor- so long as it still stretches (and recoils when you remove the tension), and has enough width for you to use then it will be fine.

So this hemp, spindrift, and hedgehogs are all sources from the same place? I only ask because I felt that my copper murmuration and hedgehogs took much more breaking in than spindrift twilight seafoam. Maybe just me though!
This hemp is the same as Spindrift, Hedgehogs was a different source, but the rest of the hemp we use is all from the same source
