Unless I'm misunderstanding something, The damage bonus appears to be additive to balefire base damage, before both its and your warframes mods. So if you crank your shield capacity to say 6k. The base damage of the shots will increase by 900. It should be noted that Hildryns balefire deals 500 base damage, so that would be a flat 180% base damage increase again, before mods.

It's good, you just have to have some shields and a shit ton of power strength. I would not call it broken though.

Crank shield capacity and power strength, keep duration at 100% (though you could certainly slap on narrow minded should you choose. Stretch for range. The new augment of course. I personally use blazing pillage though you can swap that off for another stat mod or adaptation should you wish. Balefire uses a Corrosive Blast setup.

I’ve went with all strength and used an arcane for the duration to be at 100 my balefire does like 600k

A mix of Classic Saturated and Gamma

If you're using Melee Influence, Roar would probably be the better choice imo. Crit chance becomes less and less effective the higher it goes after orange crits, and you can get cc from a lot of external sources (arcane avenger, adarza, puncture procs, etc.) Roar affects both the initial explosion damage as well as the proc's damage, plus your squad will also benefit.
