Excellent,selection of kritis and raagas superbly combined,my hearty Pranamam to the people who are involved in this concert.

I have been listening to carnatic music since 1969. I listen nearly for 3 to 4 hours daily. My opinion is that a man and a woman should not sing together in a public concert. Both of them tend to perform below their capabilities. Beginning from DKP, KVN, a few greats have performed with the other gender. Or, even if they really want to perform together, in a single concert, one of them should present a kriti entirely and then sit silent during which time, the other sings. Try this. Let there be 5 minutes gap between kritis.

Incidentally, we shall recollect the nice singing rendered by our illustrious Gana Kalatharar Sri Madurai Mani Iyer avarGaL. Avar paattu was exceptionally nice and at every concert . (I cannot keep quiet without commenting. on the singing aspect of Madurai Mani Iyer. He would make it a point to sing and give ‘Anandam’ to one and all; antha aananthamE thani thaan enRu chollavENdum; athu thaan sari en Ru ninaikkinREn.
