Temperature Quilts - How to get started
I know your quilt will be beautiful!! Great directions!
Looking forward to learning it. Love your videos.
Thank you! 😊
I will be waiting...looks like a great scrap quilt.
What do you use for batting? I am a first time quilter.
I used a 70% cotton, 30% polyester blend. An 80% cotton, 20% poly is good too. I wouldn’t recommend all cotton for this method. Have fun quilting.
I’m already logging in my temperatures and have my fabric so if you set up a page, I will join

When stitching the blocks together, start at the edge of the background fabric, not the batting.
Positive constructive comments are always welcome. I’m definitely not perfect. Thank you.
Awesome way to finish the blocks!! I will be doing this soon.
Have fun!
Beautiful quilt! I really love the way the quilt is made. A perfect quilt as you go project.😁
Thank you.
This process works so much more smoothly than the alternate joining the blocks with independent lattice. Thanks for sharing your know how. I havent used batiks in quite some time but am feeling inspired now to do a scrappy QAYG with mine.
You are so welcome!
This method is waaaay too much work. QAYG can be sooooo much easier
This looks like a great way to make a quilt. I have been looking for a quilt as you go project. So glad I found your videos.
Welcome!
Happy New Year to you too Jennifer! Quilt as you go has been a mystery to me but now I understand. Thank you
You are so welcome!
Great video! I liked the fabric colors you used. Your explaining is good too. You’re a good instructor. Thanks👍
Thank you so much!
When topstitching blocks together, do I start at the batting or at the end of each piece of the fold?
Start at the end of each piece
Can you link below the website for Plastic Blocks?
Done. Thanks for asking.
@ Thank you 😊
Great instruction ! so glad I ran across you. Happy New Year!!
Welcome and Happy New Year to you too.
❤❤❤
Thanks!!!
What a happy quilt! LOVE this technique and will give it a go soon. Happy New Year!
Have fun!
I love this approach! Thanks!
You're so welcome!
Thank you for explaining 'quilt as you go' simply. I enjoy your videos and seeing your quilts. ❤
Thank you so much!
When sewing blocks together, you’re stitching 1/8” from folded edges. Use any presser foot that works well with that size. When I try something new, I do a practice piece or block.
Thanks everybody for the great comments. So glad you liked the video.
Wow! Your quit as you go quilt has that stained glass look. It's beautiful. Thank you.
You are so welcome!
So nice! When I sew the 2 blocks together, I'm just setting my needle on my machine to centre? I'm not sure if the presser foot gets in the way of sewing up the sides of the block.
Comment posted.
Thank you for sharing , great teaching style
So nice of you
Awesome process! Have not seen this before. Will have to give it a try. Love your channel. Thanks for sharing. Happy New Year🎉

This was sweet 😂 take care🤗
Thanks for the kindness.
Your temperature quilt is really very pretty. Actually, I’ve seen quite a few lately and yours is my favorite; I like the scale of your blocks as well as your color choices.
Thank you very much. I've really enjoying doing it this year.
I don't think I could make a video. I never was very good at making still pictures.
I taught math for 11 years. Lots of similarities to doing videos. :)

Love your emojis. Thanks.
i prefer to see your smiling face. good tutorial
I just discovered your channel. Love your calm way of presenting stuff. I love hand quilting in my lap, i've done it on the table too. when I hand-quilt in my lap I just grasp the quilt underneath with my left hand and go from right to left. I like big stitches using number 12 cotton thread. I do my hexies like hand-piecing, not EPP as I found the stitches too tiny now at my age (74). Now I'm going to go check out some of your videos. Blessings from Colorado. (Linda)
