Me too, when I was reading the leaks earlier, and saw five minifigures I thought YES! But alas no. But here's hoping to a second set with them in it!

On the Lego IDEAS website someone has made builds for them as BrickHeadz, I hope they get greenlit one day.

Your reasoning makes a lot of sense, and I can see why the live-action adaptation might actually be the better base for LEGO sets. Human characters do translate more naturally into minifigure designs-Stranger Things is a great example of how LEGO can make cartoonish caricatures work perfectly. Anime-based designs could indeed feel a bit off when translated into minifigure form, especially if they tried to stay true to exaggerated anime aesthetics. The live-action’s simpler and more grounded look avoids that issue. You also make a great point about starting small with the East Blue arc. Having a clear, limited pool of content from eight episodes makes it much easier for LEGO to design cohesive waves without being overwhelmed by decades of manga or anime content. And like you said, the major locations like Arlong Park, the Baratie, and the Going Merry are practically identical to the source material, so branding it as live-action doesn’t really change how iconic the sets would feel. This approach actually feels like a smart way to bring One Piece into LEGO while keeping it accessible for both fans and LEGO designers.

Yeah, I'm assuming that's how Lego now has it, it will be interesting to see what they can do with it, and how there versions of the ships stack up against to pervious versions.

I have seen a video on here of a brick built omega, and they’ve done a fantastic job, they’ve done it so he’s matches the minifigure scale.

Yes I am a huge fan of Stargate, and would very much like to see some Lego sets of it in the future.

I thought it was an adorable little Lego recreation of his original toy, yeah it looked a little clunky but I thought it was in keeping with the G1 style and theme.

Jetfire would be good, as the original has quite a bulky design, so would fit legos style quite nicely. Would love a Lego Grimlock, he better have a crown though 😅

@ThePandaBrain Ideally I want as many Star Trek sets as there are Star Wars ones. I know that won't happen.

If the set sells well, we could see it turn into its own theme, like what happened with the original Sonic set, it was popular then it evolved into its own theme. I also hope this happens with this Star Trek set and the Zelda one, both are worthy of their own themes.

I would love that, but I feel that he would have to look a lot different then just a Optimus Prime recolour, if not they might face a little bit of backlash 😅

The original Enterprise seems like the most likely choice given its iconic status, but I completely agree-it would be incredible to get a Defiant or Deep Space Nine set! The Defiant’s sleek, combat-ready design would make for a standout model, and Deep Space Nine’s unique station structure could lead to an amazing display piece. Both would bring some much-needed variety and depth to the LEGO Star Trek lineup!
