Thanks Rich for this video. I was a cheerleading sponsor for 25 years for UVA, so I not only saw all home games, but dozens of cheer practices and try-outs in the wonderful arena. I'm still sad today, but seeing it again on your nice video, helps bring back many memories.

If all you have to do in your life is complain then get out! @skillz03784 we have EXCELLANT sports programs, we are accredited, surprisingly we haev some of the highst sol score sin the NATION, and the community is small and cozy, most of the kids know each otehr and its pretty nice to have it that way when you go to school.

@skillz03784 absolutely not. move to richmond instead; particularly the west end if you can afford it. virginia beach, fredericksburg, and charlottesville are also good choices (more so the last two). hopewell has major problems.

whereas this video is a short "tour" of historically notable graves, by no means is it an accurate representation of the grandeur of the place. albeit hard to capture on video, Hollywood is a beautiful example of the 19th century 'park-style' cemetery (before it was considered macabre to hang out amidst graves). if in the region you should make a point of going (especially in autumn).

There is a tombstone with the Girl Scout trefoil on it there. She was the 2nd Executive Director of the Girl Scouts in Richmond in the 20's. A graduate of Vassar, daughter of a state Senator, and even saved a drowning man when she was 12! She died at age 27 from TB. Look near Jeter St.
