Had a game yesterday with friends (full stack normal). I was jungle, picked a champ i didnt play for over a year and started in enemies jungle. We lost the game at the end, but had a lot of fun. We didnt troll or int, but rather had a good time, laughing and folling around most of time. Some of us were a little bit tipsy, some high. At stats screen their jungle started calling me out for tryharding because i started on their side lvl1. And how bad i was even tho i had an early lead etc. After replying with "ofc. Im sweating like crazy right now 😂. Ggwp btw" He got really mad and wrote some heavy stuff, i didnt even read. Reported and blocked -> after next game i got report feedback. I never will understand how someone this unhappy and angry is forcing themselves to play a game, which is causing those feelings.😢

League will never change. Only people who play long term are people with crippling addictive tendencies or people who truly enjoy verbally abusing people online. Rest is just people trying it out to become one of those two or quit

Something about internet culture is that we have switches and when people get toxic they forget to shift their mentality so they perceieve everyone as toxic as them and thus react toxicly

Had a good laugh cause I was thinking of a meme and told him so. Seemed to chill out immediately, so I made a new friend :D

Went through different games including league with atleast 20k+ hour gaming experience in my life, i can be toxic as hell but it really depends on how serious the game is and to who is opening the way for me to be toxic like if you are a random that blames without a brain in the highest lvl ranked games

happened to me about 2 weeks ago. Guy was being extremely toxic, calling people low elo and trash and such and I was genuinely worried about him. Got out of the game and I told him to add me on discord. Showed him compassion and empathy and asked him to open up to me. Turns out his brother’s life was taken in a car crash and he was angry at the world and was taking that out on people. Gave him some tips since I been there in the same boat once and changed his perspective. He’s now trying to be a better person and cope better. We’re pretty good friends now aswell.

Had a similar situation someone added me after game to flame me in DMs i accepted and asked him how i can help him after 15 of him Flaming me the round before

When I am nice to LoL people they just start flaming my gameplay (I've never even been on the same game with them ever)

This. I love playing games like this. 20 years of gaming, beginning with cs 1.6 and bf 1942 with my dad back in the days made me a calmer, less toxic gamer today. Kids and their cod lobbys are still fun, i just dont need to engage anymore. Im good, i just wanna win the game with my teammates

People want to be toxic and argue for that rush of dopamine you get when you argue it evokes so much emotion. But when you act nice back it complete shuts down that emotional overload and they usally revert back to being normal humans and not a chemical craving goblin

I love toxic players cuz they crack me up but I try so hard to be nice, I'd hate to ruin someone's day while they're already trying to relax by playing a stressful game

Being sincere to rude people is the best. Sometimes they turn around and become nice, which is awesome. But if they continue to be rude its so damn funny. Like, dude, its like that cartoony image of a short person being held by the head while they try to fight you but dont have enough reach

Ive had a moment like this. There was a new youtuber that i stumbled on that made a short. It was something really cringy to me at the time so something in my brain just went "oh youre fair game". He kind of looked like bubble bass from sponge bob so I left a comment saying "you forgot the pickles." I was his only comment and he said "I know" in return. I was so ashamed I deleted the comment immediately. I still regret it.
