Goddamnit, RUclips doing its thing and not telling me that this video exists for two months, urg. I’m happy I’ve seen it now, because this is nothing short of mesmerising. Your technical ability and knowledge of the franchises visuals shows through so clearly here. The entire thing is pretty superb, but if I had to pick a favour section, it would have to be the John and Cortana focused half minute or so starting at 0:53. The ultra clean transition from the more general Halo vibe to specifically John, the parallels between clenched fists representing Different sides of their connection, the small period of quiet when it cuts two the infinite 1:25 transitioning perfectly to a halo 4 scene relevant to chief’s dialogue and ending on the iconic “I will not fail you” line with Esparza. The whole thing is so clean and totally consistent and remains visually engaging the entire entire time. This clearly a lot of attention paid to the movement of the virtual camera, zooming in and out appropriately to keep up as sense of energy, not to mention the way that it allows certain things to parallel each other. This is a top GMV and I don’t think anyone could convince me different. Fantastic work. It’s wonderful to see you uploading such things again.

That even battling on Humanities fortress world, the center of its industrial might, the home of the Spartans, where Nobel team had once seemed so confident. This…this fits the mood at the end of Edgerunners. Although Lucy and David’s relationship with each other is minuscule in comparison to Chief and Cortana’s, both share one thing: one (Chief/Lucy) watches their loved one (Cortana/David) slowly die. The agony in both of them is paramount. In Halo 4 it was a slow burn, but in Edgerunners it hit me hard and fast. The latter where I felt enough rage in 2022 to buy Cyberpunk 2077 just so I can beat that borg bastard into scrap metal. Overall, excellent job.
