Rugged Trail w/ High Exposure
A few years ago this trail was washed out in multiple spots. We had heard that there had been some work on the trail earlier this spring and wanted to check it out. Appears that the work had been done lower on the trail and the connector remains needing work. Didn't make it through and turned around.

Trail riding and came across a big herd of sheep that did not want to get off the trail. This had me laughing.
"This isn't motorized" - yeah it is

Had such a good time on this trail had to go back and hit it again before the years end. Ran into a hunter that was giving us a hard time about being on the trail telling us it was non-motorized. Our maps say otherwise.
Off to See the Wizard

There is a wizard carved into the tree at the top of the hill. Watch at the end of the video you can see briefly. Good day of riding some awesome single track. Great fall weather, technical trails and good company. My favorite kind of riding.
Day 3 - Of Guys Trip in the Back Country

On the way home had to hit one more trail I have been eyeing for a while. 30 miles round trip. Big tree down towards the end we struggled a little getting around. I guess that is why we might need to start carrying a saw. Tweaked my back in the process of getting bikes around it. Big uphill and downhills on this single track. Amazing views!
Day 2 Guys trip! Rain, Snow, Sunshine, and more Rain

Did 70 miles of single track. Awesome weekend with the guys. The morning was really cold and wet between rain and snow. By afternoon though it had stopped most of the day and made for some epic dirt.

Groupe of 7 guys out riding in the high country single track of Idaho. Was a super fun trip with lots of new to us trails. This is day 1 super dusty. Big up hills and downhill with a river crossing at the bottom.
Dusty Ridge and Canyon Run -45 Miles of Single Track

Headed to the mountains for some high mountain single track. Mountains and ridges in every direction. Rode a new trail and canyons we haven't been on before. Very dry and dusty with some steep terrain. Overheated my brakes on the way down and lost them for a bit which was a little nerve racking. Had to stop and cool them down by spitting water on the rotor and calipers.

Well Should We Go Ride Some Motorcycles?
Where is that trail at?
Looks like siimilar trails the KLIM guys took me on... So FUN!
You are on a HORSE!!!! You do not need a trail. I never had one when I rode my horse in the mountains.
Should have asked the horse!
Riding a 2stroke during hunting season>>what a city-idiot peckerhead
I’ve been writing a lot of trails over the years and for the most part on those dirt bikes does not bother the elk they see us come and go they know what’s up
I was on that same trail recently. Didn’t have a problem but it did seem some hunters were not thrilled to see us
H
Oh yeah, just a little bit of exposure!!! so nice though.
Sick!! Reminds me of avalanch gulch and mud creek on Mt Shasta south east side.
Amazing singletrack! As both an avid MTB and singletrack guy (KTM 300xcw), I dont get it.... Theres been plenty of times on my MTBs Ive come across MCs on designated non motorized trails and never the need to play "trail cop". Each goes their way and thats it.
The same. Both an mtb'er and moto rider. No reason we can't peacefully share multi use trails.
As both a rider and a hunter, I feel you handled that situation very well. It’s a public access multi-use trail system. I’m thankful places like that exist! You guys may also spook game into an advantageous spot for hunters, so it’s not all bad for them either whether they realize it or not. Enjoy the ride, fellas!
Cool single track! Beautiful country!
Between the pine beetle and what looks like a past fire that place is messed up
After this year there is nothing left to burn. It’s all gone.
This trail looks so rad!
Were is this it's so beautiful
What map app are you using for the trails? that’s funny I use my bike on the trails to hunt and were is their hunter orange. At least they weren’t SxS 😂
I use avenza for the app and then download the forest service maps. There are probably better ones out there but this one is free and don’t have any issues with it. Where we are at it’s recommended but not required to wear orange.
He is just mad because you MIGHT scare his deer.
Yeah I get that from a hunters perspective, sorry, not sorry. I wasn’t doing anything wrong.
Alot of times the out of state people think they can come in during hunting season and kick you off the trail. Not remembering who maintenances the trail all year while riding it. And if you don't want to see dirt bikes don't hunt off of a dirt bike trail. And the dirt bikes don't scare the game much any way cause they are used to it.
Those deadfall trees were not cut and cleared by hikers...
@@JungleMotoTours That is the truth. Also a lot of trash is from hikers that do not want to carry it back out with them!
I really enjoy watching your videos, especially as a local guy. Your editing is solid and the content is always a nice watch, I hope you never get burnt out of the documenting/video part.
Appreciate the nice comment. it’s fun for me to go back and watch and share with the everyone. Glad you enjoy them. Lots of good rides.
One thing for sure is that the trail beyond the road has clearly been ridden on before.
You guys are mucking futs. 😂
Where is this? Beautiful country 💯
🤣🤣🤣Now thats funny!
Das leben ist zu kurz um sich ständig aufzuregen. In Deutschland noch viel schlimmer 🙇🏻.
Dirtbike keep a lot of trails open Carrie taught equipment chainsaws etc. there are constantly Maintenance the trails. I’ve seen them stop the dirt bikers Play expect the government to maintenance the trails and the trail goes away. People that go one time on that trail do not do the maintenance let alone carry a chainsaw for how many miles the trails need constant maintenance.. Dirt bikers do A lot of throw maintenance that nobody else dose- they are constantly maintaining trails
I always carry my chain saw on my ATV. I saw out soooooo many trees. One ride I even ran out of gas for the saw, and I have an extra bottle for fuel. People usually thank me for maintaining the trails.
Great job with the map and knowing your stuff. I have had trail police do the same to me and they get shut down quick. Complete dipshits. Most think they can intimidate you but I do the same. Call the law and while your being a biotch im firing the bike and having fun.
Those trails are sick!!🔥🔥🤘🏻
Wow that’s a great one 👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
My problem is opposite jerks taking e bukes in the wilderness
Felt sorry for the horses because that guy carrying such a heavy loads!!!
You handled that so well kept calm and didn't give bikers a bad rep. Lovely scenery nice video
If they don’t want to look at a map or “collaborate” with total decency and respect, the motor gets cranked right back up and on I go about my day.
Agreed. No point in arguing with someone who’s opinion means nothing anyway.
Hate hunting season. Some hunters act like they’re the caretakers of the forest when they only show up during hunting season.
I just hate when they decide to hunt on dirt bike trails, like wtf are they thinking. They have a lot more options than we do when it comes to trails they can be on
I thought all the Karen hikers were in the Sierra Nevada's in California. I guess they're everywhere now.
Montana is the worst, especially near Bozeman.
Beautiful, rugged trail! You handled that interaction well. Having the Forest Service MVUM on Avenza helps. At least those guys weren't just slowly driving around in their truck or UTV with full Camo, drinking beer and giving dirty looks to anyone else that dared to ride on a fire road that weekend.
That guy thought he was Jerimiah Johnson in the middle of the wilderness until you guys showed up on your dirt scoots. Ruined his fantasy for sure. He probably expected wild indians to come around the corner LOL. But You handled that really well. I don't think that I would have kept my cool that well. You guys were very careful not to spook their horses, and I would have been appreciative of that fact alone. Just another rich bich in the mountains that probably never did an honest days work in his life, probably toting around a $5k or $10k rifle setup thinking how he's now Jerimiah Johnson. What a dip shit. Roost'em all fellas. Equal opportunity roosting. Equal opportunity roosting. Hope to see you on the trail, but not on a blind corner ;)
I do both. Been hunting for about 12 years but been riding dirt bikes for 40. And they are just complaining for no reason. You 2 were probably the only bikes they saw the whole time. And from my experience your not going to spooke deer or elk very far away if at all.
Nope i literally rode through a herd of Elk last week in a gulch with steep mountainsides. They ran maybe 50 yards tops and went back to grazing.
Where is this cause I would love to ride there
Those are just contrails in the sky go back to sleep
Beautiful trail. Where is this ?
There is no way I'm riding my bike up there and just turning around. I'm bringing something to sit on, some beer and maybe some food. I'm going to sit back drink some beer and enjoy the view for several hours.
Always good to do your homework and know your rights when using public land. It looks like you were using Avenza which most closely matches the USFS official MVUM which is the definitive source for where motor vehicles are allowed. I like to plan routes with Avenza but then using Gaia to navigate. I’m not sure Gaia’s MVUM overlay matches the offical MVUM 100%. Good job!!!
Yes using avenza with the forest service maps on it. Always check the states maps as well. After this I double and triple checked to make sure I wasn’t in the wrong. For hunting I am guessing it’s not motorized and that might be what he was thinking but we were not hunting.
@@dirtbike-diaries That’s a good point and can see how that would be confusing from their perspective. I think you handled it well by offering to show them your map and being willing to discuss.
@@dirtbike-diaries Yeah that could be, only a couple years ago ID changed the regulations in certain hunting zones ( a zone I hunted with dirt bikes for example) to say you Can NOT HUNT off of a dirt bike meaning carrying a bow or rifle or weapon. Even though the trails are still open for Dirt bike riding. Quite the stupid regulation if you ask me, lack of common sense. I’m guessing that guy was confused on that issue.
Rode that trail this summer. Pretty spectacular.
Beautiful trail and nice bike, I own a 2022 300SE best 2 stroke I've owned over the years for lugging around single track. Fall time your going to run into hunters especially bow hunters and muzzle loader hunters that hunt earlier than most gun seasons, I have hunted all over the west I have a soft spot for hunters that have spent a lot of money and time scouting the areas they hunt, BUT if they haven't done their due diligence in knowing which trails are still open to dirt bikes it's on them, I believe you handled yourself well in the situation, personally I would have got off the bike with my phone and approached them and showed them the maps and info on open trails probably would have got by them a lot quicker than back and forth 'it's open, no it's not open dialogue.
What state is this that you can rifle hunt wearing camo? Most states require blaze orange.
Won't be killing anything today Mr Fudd.😂
Sweet area to ride! 🔥🔥
Nice trail and nice riding. I love this time of year!
How many Horses would cross that sidehill Shale?! Clearly the trees were cut and tracks were made by Motos!
