It was a just by chance flight as well cause we were on the way home from Dundonald and its not very often glencoe is so clear so I took the opportunity 😁👍

@TheMadmacs That's the 7.5-inch chimaera using a 2700mah 6s lipo. To be fair. The weather was perfect at around 20°C and very little wind, and it was blowing in the perfect direction, so I had a nice tail wind on the way back. So I managed to get about a 15-16 minute flight time One of the most enjoyable flights I have had for a long time. Normally, I am fighting gusts, which munchies my time and causes some jello due to the size of the quad but it was so relaxing and smooth this time I still have a bit of jello but I think that's my shakey fingers on the sticks and i don't realise I am doing it

The viaduct is entirely complete, except there are no rails, but the track bed is still in place. I had a few videos, but I have never posted them, but I can't remember where I put the files, so I have probably deleted them . One of my friends did an epic flight through the girders. Yeh mate, it's a brilliant spot. It had been raining, so I did not get much time to really do some low-level river flying, so I will definitely be back on a better day

Sorry for the delay in answering, mate. been working all week 😁👍 I always remember it was a bit ruff around the edges, same as IRVINE and SALTCOATS, but that was in the 1970s it's actually really nice now they even rake the beach with a tractor to keep it clean

@johnnymac26 Cheers mate 😀👍OOH AYE ! The weather was perfect flying weather, so it was brilliant. Temperatures were about 19-20° C with about 2 mph winds, so not too hot and not too blowy. I spent the full 3 days just flying around it's been a while since we have been able to cause of shit weather

@TheMadmacs Ohh aye mate, it definitely does it even makes flying non GPS stuff less terrifying cause knowing that you have that GPS failsafe to save you if shit does go south gives you more practise so you get more relaxed and confident when flying anything over water. This video was filmed using my EVOQUE f5x, which is non GPS. That's why I did not stray to far up the mountain

Thank you 😀👍 Yeh it's massive it's basically the size of a 3 runway airport or heathrow. You can still see the old runways running through parts of it. I think they must have to keep them in place to use as emergency landing strips

Cheers mate 👍 😁 It's part of the old WW 2 army/air base The building looks very similar to the officers' mess building I have seen on other abandoned military sites in Britain, and the ground behind it was where the troop huts would have been cause its got all the sewage pipes and stuff still in situ

@@johnnymac26 Been working mate so not as much flying as I would like but I had a wee shot of an avata 2 the other day. first time I have tried digital FPV the avata flys like shit compared to my quads but the digital video is pretty amazing but It would cost me thousands of pounds to switch all my gear over. I have the best analog system you can get which gives me way more range but less video quality so I think I will stick with what I have for now

@AcruxFPV quad is an IFLIGHT nazgul XL10, and the footage is a runcam 5 orange. The jello is from my auld shakey thumbs due to severe arthritis at first, I thought it was the tune but discovered after many months of messing about with the tune that my thumbs shake without me noticing causing vibrations and jello. I couldn't figure out why it only happens some of the time so the only solution was to reduce the sensitivity of my gimbals, but I hated flying this way as my sticks felt numb

@@TheMadmacs I haven't flew through it yet mate but my favourite spot is the orb cemetery just behind the forgewood viaduct so it's in a few of my videos the orbison viaduct i have only flew up to it from watling Street never ventured down the Glen to get to it yet though
