Do You Think Well Of Yourself ? Failure Feeds Off A Negative Self-Concept.

Sofia Push said, "You are allowed to be a masterpiece and a work in progress, at the same time." My money is on the fact that very few of us ever think we are a masterpiece... but we are, and the sooner we accept it ,with humility, the sooner we accept the freedom to become who we are.
Why A Poor Self-Image Leeds To A Life That Sucks !
Просмотров 1075 месяцев назад
We are not born with a self-concept, we develop it in the first 6 years of life with the help of our 'environment' and should that environment ( parents, siblings, friends, family, teachers, etc) give us some false, inaccurate and biased info to the negative we have no way of screening that out. We then act out what we BELIEVE to be true, not what could be true. Time to re-write the story of ou...

Goodbye and Thank You Judith and Olivia 😢
Choose your parents well.
Thank you for your videos. Simple and to the point.
I used to love exercising now at 67 I find I have force myself. Especially in the winter (I live in northern Canada).
I’d like to suggest Tai Chi. Lots of memory + balance.
Thank you for sharing your video. Tips are valuable & helpful.
I’m 76 and have been very sedentary for a long time but intellectually active studying math and science. I realize if I don’t start exercising etc. I’m going to lose my brain power, so thank you so much for your instructions! 😊
Thanks Vonnie, your intellectual pursuits are important but they are secondary to working the body... it's seems strange but the best thing we can do for the brain is work the body!!
I'm 67 and have insomnia. I have tried all the natural remedies and use earplugs. Getting desperate 🙄🙂
Hi Julie, are you seeing a sleep specialist doctor ?
@@gregorydiamond no. I don't have a doctor of any sort.
Excellent, thank you
You are welcome! 🙏 🤗
Du er meget dygtig. 🪸🐚🌷🍄🐚💐🐚🐚🍂🍂🍃☘️☘️🍂
Thanks Inger.
My mom, who is in her late 80s, broke a hip 11 months ago and spent last fall in the hospital. She was struggling overcoming urinary infection, was also isolated ten days due to covid during her stay and on the top of all this, she was experiencing a lot of anxiety episodes during the day, but especially at bedtime. I was visiting each and every night to make sure she would go to sleep, but at the hospital, she would not sleep more than one or two hours per night after I would leave home. At the end of her stay, she was not herself, experienced much confusion episodes, the infection was not cured clearly needed a brain booster, as it seemed completely finished.... Instead of following the head nurse's advice and sending her to her senior residence's care unit, I made the hard decision to bring her at my home and resigned from my job. I took care of her and my main focus was to work on restoring her sleeping habits and enhancing her food with much nutrients . That was at the end of November 2023. Now, in August 2024, she is a completely different person. She reads a lot, enjoys doing small grammar quizzes, we are learning back some cards games (bridge was her favorite and she was playing it quite well until the pandemic). She also follows tennis on tv with much interest, walks almost 1 km a day. Good sleeping habits was the foundation of my plan to bring her back on her feet and on the path of good health. Thanks a lot for this video. I completely trust what you say and we keep up with our work every day.
Thank you so much for this
Thank you for the support Joyce.
Day in and day out, I take the following exercises: 100 squats, 100jumprope, Rotation od upper portion to left and right 100 times, moving cvhest with hands going backward, 50 times, and rotation of both hands clockwise and anti clockwise. Any benefit since I am 79? Dr Sada, India.
Great work Dr Sada! All good exercise. My only question is how much aerobic training are you doing and are you doing some light weights training? The two major declines we experience are a lowering of our VO2 max and muscle atrophy. This means a lowering of cardiovascular fitness and strength which are the 2 most powerful indicators of morbidity. Having said that if you are 79 and healthy you can’t be doing too much wrong!😂
💯❣❤
Thanks BJ .
Terrible accent
THANKS FOR SHARING ! BLESSINGS 👍🙏💖🎊🎉
Thanks so much Bernadette 🙏❤️
Read ...sing...and smell the flowers
All great things to do Rudolf , but according to the research physical exercise has far more impact than these. It's move first and do these after😉.
Just this week UCLA(USA) had a study 6 months of rigorous exercise was good at preventing decline in brain functioning.
Thanks John, more ammunition for the message. Will follow that up. Thank you!

All your suggestion seems to be more physical more than mental what about crossword puzzles
Hi Janette, unfortunately the research around brain puzzles, crosswords and other brain work is not that helpful. It appears that physical exercise is way superior to those mental games in keeping your brain intact. The brain likes challenge so keep doing you crosswords but if you want to keep the brain intact and improve its performance then you have to move!! Add to that social interaction and learning new skills ( musical instruments, languages etc) and you will really pump your brain up.
I like your concrete skull as I have one also ,it was meant to be put in the garden but thought it would likely be stolen
I used to have a luminous one which lit up at night.
My parents both got dementia, and I really don’t want to end up getting it myself! So thanks for the encouraging video, and I like that you included dancing.
I hear you... we watched my Mother-in-law deteriorate over a couple of years and end up bedridden and incapable of basic functions . We have some power here to slow and reverse this horrible condition .
Thanks so much for the encouragement Mega … I just posted ‘how to exercise for the brain.’😉❤️
Meneire's disease from Zostavax vaccine, destroys balance, episodes of vertigo and vomiting, suicidal risk daily, Merck pharmaceuticals is responsible but legally unaccountable. Is destroying my life and purpose, meaning.
Stop eating carbs and veg and fruit and sugar and eat more meat, eggs and fish.
Agreed, but veges are important to get the natural carbs ( glucose being brain food usually, ketones if you're low carb). Having said that , exercise is the still the priority.
@@gregorydiamond Sorry but you are incorrect. Glucose can be used to fuel the brain, but that ends with Alzheimer's. Ketones are far superior for brain function, health and longevity with no dementia or Alzheimer's. Human brains have been shrinking again since humans started eating carbs. There is no such thing as a "healthy carb." They ALL turn to sugar in the blood
Thank you for encouraging us to do the right things to get the most out of our lives. 👍😀
Thanks for the encouragement 🙏
Awesome! Thank you Very much Gregory, for your Awesome, Very Informative, 3 step Practical Advice! God Bless you, Sir! 👍👏😃💐

Just found your channel. Wise words, Gregory. I have a personal trainer client who has suffered from anxiety and self-doubt since her teens (she's early 40s now). Working out in the gym really gives her a boost and she doesn't like it if she goes more than a few days without working out, for instance if she's on holiday. I have got her to do affirmations every day but at the beginning, because of her self-doubt and lack of self-belief, she was embarrassed. Now, it's part of her daily routine.
Thanks mate … yes that combination of getting your body right and your mindset on track is unbeatable!
