Western Canadian amateur acreage-r! Currently homesteaded in mid northern Alberta, this transplant from Saskatchewan has recently left the city after 20 years and is getting back to basics. Have fun learning along with Lorianne and subscribe to a quick video while having your morning coffee or daybreak as she humorously tackles new things faced with living a countrified, small town life while still relying on some old standards to get through.

Krazy Kwik Kernels help us process Kobs!
Hahaha…..thank you!
Mista Gregory ….I enjoy the acreage projects. I knew what you meant when you said solid…. It’s a guy thing🙂. And the fact you never called the concrete “cement”, warms my heart😊
Well, I never knew you could make juice from lilacs. Very interesting.
Me neither! very tasty with a soda and some ice on those hot summer days.
Discard Tortilla Recipe: 1 2/3 cup all purpose flour 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 cup olive oil 1/2 cup sourdough starter discard 1/3 cup warm water (just tepid) Mix discard, olive oil and water in a bowl and stir to combine. Add flour and salt and mix until a stiff dough (kinda like pie crust) is formed with no dry spots. Knead until everything is homogenous. Cover with damp towel and rest for 30 minutes. Watch video for the rest!
Continue on with the projects…. I see a catapult made from pallets in the future… to launch Lorianne’s pumpkins
Takes me back to my acreage days… didn’t have the equipment though… where was Hayden when I needed him🙂
Lemon balm is my favourite type of mint for making tea. So good mixed with green tea and honey.
OOOHHH - I will have to try that! Thank you for the comment
