    My husband has 13 years experience with underground directional drilling. He just started at a fiber company as the head of their new department doing missle boring. He is on a crew with 5-6 people currently. They are each expected to have 100 ft per person per day so 500-600 ft. They don’t have a tractor or any sort of equipment to help dig so everything is hand dug and the guy giving them to jobs are telling them it has to be no less than 36” deep. He has worked so many jobs in directional drilling and used to get so much footage daily doing directional drilling but he’s finding it impossible to get the footage required doing it by hand. My husband is a pro at hand digging but it seems like digging 36” down by hand with only a crew of 5-6 people and expecting 500-600 ft per day is a huge ask. How are crews typically set up for missle boring? For example does each guy have a specific job they are responsible for like one digging, one guiding the missle etc;? How many inches do you typically dig down? Is everything done by hand or do yall have an excavator to help? How much footage do you typically get done daily? I’m sorry for so many questions but my husband has been handed a golden opportunity with so many perks that our family needs right now for this company and we really need for this to work out and be successful but the company won’t provide an excavator and my husband is not seeing how the footage can be reached in a timely manner without one. Thank you for any insight you may have!

    Sorry, couldn't disagree with you more on several points. First I was searching on how to keep my aerobic sprinkler heads from freezing, it's been single digit temps for a week, short answer seems to be THERE ISN'T ANY WAY ! As to pipes in the house, well I have a hot water tank in the Attic, yes stupid builders are everywhere, even in Oklahoma! The water lines are insulated BUT that didn't stop the inlet line from freezing and bursting a year ago when it got this cold then. You MUST let the water run some to prevent freezing! And no I have no way of using heat tape right at the tank entrance, which is where it burst ! Aerobic Septic system has been a pain virtually since the day we moved in ! I have found ZERO effective ways from stopping the heads from freezing even as low as they are in the ground. Some Facebook junk says cover them with a bucket, which only keeps all the water in right at the sprinkler head, and with no heat, freezes into a block overnight. Any REAL solution hasn't found it's way to my ears yet ! Two days from now, when the weather thaws out, I'll be replacing another two broken/frozen spray heads !

      It is a single pour, the model with no bottom is anchored via long bolts drilled into the concrete floor. The outdoor model comes with a floor already which is a part of the single pour

    I just bought a house in Texas. Unrestricted county rural area. I’ve never messed with anything but the old style septic systems with a field line. It’s 1400 sq ft setting on .33 acre, 3 Bd, 2 Bth. I just realized it has NINE sprinkler heads. Is nine of them really necessary? It’s just my wife and I going to be living in the home. Can I delete 6 of them and leave the other three out by the road?

    • @greenpro5528
      @greenpro5528 9 месяцев назад

      If the system was designed with 9, then it needs all 9. This is due to a heavy clay content in the soil and needing to maximize the square footage of the spray field to prevent over saturation and run off.

  • @alfredkulhanek1889
    @alfredkulhanek1889 Год назад

    Hello, can you leave the spray heads off and let water gush from pipe maybe put gravel around it underneath to help drainage..just seeing options so mover doesn't get stuck being it sprays what8 to 10 ft..? Tia

    • @greenpro5528
      @greenpro5528 9 месяцев назад

      Sadly no, the square footage of the spray field is needed to not over saturate the soil.
