Albany & Torndirrup Nation Park, Western Australia
Просмотров 4222 года назад
Despite the rain we explore Albany, the war memorial and the nearby National Park of Torndirrup. Beautiful even in the rain. We didn't know much about Albany and were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful coastline, township and amazing National Park. We were rewarded with sunshine on our final day.

Terrific scenery. Gave me some good ideas of places to see which were not on my list outside of Mission Beach. Thanks.
Wheel alignment girls should have one when van has done its first 1000km. Love to hear how the house build went.
We thought so as well. Tyre guy said wheel alignment was all good. Seems to think the weight of kitchen and fridge on that side of van caused it. Should have rotated wheels more often. House is great but getting itchy feet again 😊
Not really the outback. My son was born there
how many shopping centers are there
There is one supermarket
Hey guys just started watching your vids. The wife and I are really enjoying your content. I. Particular your music. Can i ask where you get your music from? Keep up the great work. 😊
Hi there! Glad you're enjoying it. We can't wait to get back out there. We use Tunepat spotify. Ok to use if you're not making money on your videos
Thanks guys. Hope your back out there soon as we look forward to seeing your next adventure. 😊❤
Will have to bring my diving gear down. Amazing.
Definitely worth it!
How many days at lawn hill and did you kayak??
we spent 3 nights there but didn't kayak. Just a swim back at camp
@@chookiesontherun5027 kayak was amazing - been there twice and would/will go back again. If you get back there Kayak both upper and lower. The freshwater croc warnings were there for both my visits - precautionary. Never saw and swam at and under the falls you showed. Such a very beautiful place.
Walked through the tunnels at tenant creek to be told had nesting fresh water crocs - again no issues. Different snout to salty - jaw Salty snout freshy- they die if they attack I am told as snout is very thin and weak.
@@shantishanti1949 They are there, the old freshy is just as scared of us as we off them, they share the waterways and holes.
Good to see you back on RUclips. Have you built a new home in Lennox Head yet. You'll scare yourself with the Jaws music. You need a wheel alignment ASAP, sadly this is not an uncommon problem with newish vans. I'm really enjoying your South Coast visit, we used to regularly drive from Sydney down to Huskisson, in Jervis Bay up to about 2000, a really nice little place. How is the Norweld canopy going and have you thought about doing a video on it now it's set up.
Hey Robert, thank you, and we are about 4 weeks away from moving in. Cheers Kay & Tracy
Amazing!
Lawn Hill was an old Coral reef
Nice work the drone footage was spot on, that is my favourite part of Australia
Best time ever !!! Loved every minute 🎉🎉
It so was, we loved it. Going to Birdsville Bash next!
Omfg looks amazing. I’m so jealous right now. 👍👍😜❤️
Best time ever, we loved it so much
We had such a good time. Put it on your bucket list.
Pretty good video!
This is awesome ladies, thank you for sharing, totally appreciated and loved hearing you puffing doing the climb because it will make it ok for me to do it. Bucket list destination. Cheers Marg 😊
Thanks Marg we hope you love it there as much as we did
Wow, what an adrenaline rush. Fantastic fun 👍.
😂Your friends look like so much fun!
What was the name of the park you stayed at in Mendindee please
Copi Hollow caravan park

No, are you hungry?
Great to see you back with new content. Have you built a new home yet or are you travelling again?
Hi Robert, still waiting for our land to be registered, found a new hobby while we are waiting.
Awesome Guys, great to see you back on the Tube 😀😀😀Would have been a great swim, cheers for sharing👍👍👍 Cheers Andy🍺🍺🍺
How are you Andy, yes been back at work, so sad. More to come!
a beautiful video, must have been amazing being in the water with those fish
There is so much to see and different everyday
Love your work! Question for you>~???? you use some great music clips in your videos, just the right era I guess. Do you have any special permission for the music ??????? Cheers Greg Only Leaving Footprints- Great Southern Land
Hey Greg We use tune pat spotify. You can use most music as long as you are not making money from your clips. Cheers Tracy & Kay
Hi girls, wondering who you house sit through. Looking for sitter in Normanville SA right near a beautiful beach.
Hi Anne We are currently back home at lennox head and won't be back on the road for a little while. We used mindahome. Cheers Kay & Tracy
Thanks for another great video, we have really enjoyed your journey and loved the excellent music choices. The track into Cape Le Grand looks a bit average, maybe even 4WD. So back to work now eh, that is a terrible outcome after your big lap, or maybe you like that because your home town is pretty special. Are you building a new home now, renting or living in the van? I love your idea with the Norweld canopy, I also think they are very good. I have a fibreglass canopy on our new DMax but would much prefer the aluminium Norweld type idea for ease of use.
Thanks Robert. We are back at work now and living in the van also doing some house sitting while waiting to build our home. Loving the canopy. Thinking of heading to the Cape in May
Bloody brilliant 👍
Thanks Carol
Thanks for another wonderful video. Is your limited time in Albany because you have booked ahead. In our last lot of travels I found the need to book ahead quite stifling, it can bugger up the trip. We are setting up for free camping now to eliminate some of these issues.
Hi Robert, Our limited time was due to us having to be back at work by September. It was a bit of a rush from Broome to home but we fit in as much as we could. We will be back travelling soon, we hope!
Travelled to J HUNDREDS of times since the late 60's. Beautiful drive through the Clare Valley. Highly recommend the Cabins at The Park. Walk to poll, shops including HUGE Foodland, pubs, craft store, bakery, etc. Gr8 Horticultural Show in October, returns this year! Enjoy! 🥰🦘🦘🦘
Thankyou, loved following your travels.
Thanks Ann
Such a WOW WOW episode. The footage was mesmerizing and I smiled the whole way through. What an incredible country we live in. Cape York sounds exciting!!! So grateful that you shared your adventure.
Thanks Robyn we have enjoyed every moment. Hopefully going to the Cape May next year🤞
Enjoyed your videos. Well done ladies hope you get back on the road soon
Thanks Julie
Lovely house and block 😢 memories and photos. It’s a big step. 👍
Cute bunnies!
So beautiful and big, with not so many people to spoil it, compared to over 8 mil in NSW
Another great video, thanks. Perth is a lovely city, particularly the Fremantle part. Matlida Bay and Seven Seas breweries are fantastic. That region get all their rain in winter.
No, I don’t think I would. Kay’s mum 😆
Hi guys, love your videos just wondering what you would do differently if you had your time again. We are going up that way nextyear and not sure if we include it or not.
Hi Louise, we have discussed this and have said we wouldn't do Gibb again with the caravan. We would definitely do El Questro, pentecost river crossing and up to the lookout. Then drive back out around to Bungle Bungles, Halls Creek and Fitzroy crossing. Come in from the other end and do Bells gorge, tunnel Creek and Manning gorge. We didn't think there was much else in between unless you are going to Mitchell falls. Hope that helps
Another awesome run Girlz, cheers for sharing 👍👍👍 Cheers Andy
Thanks Andy
Thank you ladies for stopping at dads marker doing a clean up and sending us a photo ,much appreciated. Enjoy Pc
Our pleasure 🙏
Thanks for another great video, we are enjoying your travels. You are clever girls solving the power issue. We had similar happen at Evans Head one year, I bet that point is still faulty.
Yes we live in such a beautiful country 🥰❤️🥰❤️
Another great episode:) I love this part of the country, just as beautiful as the Kimberley but in a different way ❤️
So true 👍
You girls are doing a very good job, thanks for another great video and we love the music, it's always well chosen.
Hey Robert, Funny you say that. Sometimes it takes us days to pick a song 🤨
Another great vid guys, we haven't been up that way for many years, looks awesome, we had friends that lived in Roebourne so we used that as a base to explore the area 👍👍👍Keep the great vids coming 😀😀😀 Cheers Andy
Thanks Andy
Port Headland, did you stand in the Main Street and watch an ore carrier come in to port. Feels like you can touch them.
Hi Leonie, Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to see a carrier come into port. Maybe next time 🙂
DEAR CHOOKIES, GREAT EPISODE BARNHILL LOOKS FANTASTIC CANT WAIT TO GET THERE
Thanks Michael, we loved it. Definitely worth a visit
Thanks for sharing another great video.
Thanks for watching!
Enjoy Yapoon, we were there last week on our way back from Cooktown. Sadly we missed that walk in Rockhampton. I can see I will need to get a GoPro and Drone, the phone just doesn't cut it any more. We also did Port Douglas, Mossman Gorge, Daintree, Cape Tribulation etc. We had a look at the Bloomfield Track but needed to return and move our caravan. It is a shame you had a scare from a potential burgler, Townsville is particularly bad now and we saw evidence of that while we were having lunch there and visiting friends.
Sounds like you have had a good trip. definitely recommend a drone and GoPro, well worth the expense. Yeah was a bit scary having the near break in. Lucky everything was locked and Tracy has a big voice.
What a great place. You would have gone up through Batlow and Laurel Hill to Tumbarumba, Laurel Hill always gets the seasons first snow. I lived in Tumut for a few years for start-up of the now expanded Visy P&P mill. I love the place and regularly return to see life long friends.
We sure did. We loved this place.
