Mr heater contractor series 75000. Pump repair
Had a free nibco heater that didn’t work. The motor was locked up due to a problem with the pump. I disassembled it and got it working. I also replaced the air hose and fuel line. It seems to be working fine after about a half hour of use so far. I’m still moving forward trying to get my garage sealed in a little better before winter, gonna be coming soon! I was able to raise the temperature 15 degrees in about 20 minutes. #torpedoheaterrepair#doityourself#testingheateringarage

Eliza 40 is on the road and feeling great! I adjusted the dwell a bit on the notorious helmet distributor, it was such a small amount that it wasn’t even hardly detectable with feeler gauges. It did the trick though and all is good. The car now has a completely new cooling system so near as I can tell all the issues have been resolved. Thank goodness you had a metric screw driver. 😅

That was a good that you got the little heater fixed. It'll heat that shop when you get the rest of the insulation in, you're making good progress on the shop. You take care Jeremy, that old cold weather is on it's way pretty soon!
@@juniornunley5412 thanks Junior, i hope to keep insulating the next couple weeks
Do you think you had a clearance problem on the air pump because there should be a round rubber seal between the vane housing and the cap? If you sandwich a seal in there, it would have given more clearance for the vanes. Just a thought.
@@ManCardTheater that very well could be! I don’t know if it originally had a seal or not. Good thinking!
coming along nicely.
@@richardwissing954 thank you!
Hi Jeremy, By now you probably put star washers In....( good idea) When I set my points, I start out @ .017 gap, This gives the points a chance to seat eventually down to .015 Also don't forget to lube the cam. I hope this tip helps... Vic
That garage is really coming together, I don't know how you keep all these projects moving along so well. That insulation will really pay off when you want to get out and do some work this winter. Enjoying the videos, take care Jeremy.
@@juniornunley5412 thanks Junior! I hope it’s nice and warm and I can make some interesting videos

Great video, I'm jealous of your shop now it's coming to completion though... you do need a decent compressor so I would buy the best I could.
@@garyscarstuff thanks Gary! Thinking I might go buy the one I mentioned. It has the highest cfm in that price range. Should be about like my last one , maybe a bit better even, but it always kept up good enough to please me
Jeremy you sure have your hands full with all your projects, but you are getting them done. Keep up the good work.
@@JimsIfitaintbrokefixit thanks Jim! I skip around a lot between stuff, but I like it that way
Thanks
My 2016 F150 developed porosity in the transfer case. Fluid leaked from the case itself, not the seam. Body was ok, but the t-case was disintegrating. Went back to GM as fast as I could. Turns out that all truck makers screw the pooch here and there. Look at Ram and even Toyotas are now spitting parts all over the road.
I would be careful buying any car or sub newer than 2010 ecoborst and turbo is high mantinas cost over 1000 to have a water pump replacement for 2013 ford escape
Door chime!!!! UGGGG
Cool 😎
Thanks for following along!
You made a great looking pulley out of that garden tractor wheel, it even has a great way to mate it up with the wheel. It's going to work, great plan. Take care and keep up the good work Jeremy.
@@juniornunley5412 thanks for following along Junior! Just didn’t know how well that would work, but it’s looking good and was pretty easy
I think as long as its geared low enough to take off without issues. I'm digging it. Reminds me of a golf cart i converted to gas not knowing how low geared axle was. You could take off in high gear. And it was still slow. Needless to say i pulled entire engine back off and sold it as a roller

I've got the 2017 version of the same truck. No corrosion, rust, deterioration. I keep it in a carport and where the sun hits it in extreme heat, here, the edge of the tailgate near the plastic ladder that slides out, the paint has began to peel slightly right next to the plastic. I may take the plastic off and repaint, buff and reinstall the plastic. That and where someone keyed the driver's door in a parking lot are the only signs this isn't a new truck. And there's not corrosion where the paint was scratched off with the key. I could use a paint stick touch up kit and buff it out at some point. But it is a 2017 in 2024. The truck was built in late 2016 so it's 8 years old at present. I think Ford is going to be kicking itself for building something so durable. I have changed oil every 3-5 K miles, changed the battery last year and put new tires on due to age of old ones (no real wear on the old ones). Everything works, no problems. I did get a dealer bed liner installed before I picked it up so the bed would be pristine underneath it as well. Incidentally, I never use the tailgate ladder, although my daughter finds it handy when she uses the truck. Myself I just crawl into the bed from the tailgate when I need access. I did install running boards and tonneau cover when new and they are holding up well too. The running boards were easy as Ford gives you the mounting, threaded holes pre-installed on all their trucks. Upholstery looks like new (my old Dodge driver seat wore out twice in 10 years). The Ford upholstery is rugged, durable and hasn't given up even though I haul 4 dogs in it for vet runs, etc. My son took a good look at mine and went out and got himself one just like it. That about says it all.
@@aday1637 thanks for watching! Yes I think ford did a good job with these trucks. Better then the competitors
You got one that was made on a wednesday humpday in Mexico. Don't buy one that was made on Monday or Friday because they are hungover on Monday and they won't get off early on Friday. Make sure you get one that was made on wednesday.

Alright, so I live in ma, my buddy has a 2015 and the bottom of the doors are starting to corrode! Spray the inside with fluid film, what's the worst that happens? They do seem to be lasting WAY longer but after seeing that I've been treating my 21 like any other steel body truck
@@Steviethegr8 thanks for that information! That is good to know, corrosion in that seem I’m guessing. I’m gonna keep an eye on that. Fluid film , I will do. Thanks for watching!
Man I wish Ford switched to having all their motors with the canister filter up top, absolutely brilliant design. I’d change my oil every 3k miles if it wasn’t such a dirty job on my 5L F150. Mine has a catch pan for where the oil filter is, which always fills with oil and I have to wipe and wipe and wipe until it’s finally clean. Just makes an absolute mess. Dumb design on fords part for sure.
@@Durataur yeah, I’ve had stuff over the years that have been terrible to do oil changes in. That canister oil filter should be used on everything! Thanks for watching
Corrosion can be easily managed with woolwax or krown.

Jeremy, that makes me want a Ford just like the one you have. I like Chevy pickups but they are too high and not only does the body rust out but the frames rust out too! They have all just got too expensive. Very informative video, you take care.
Pretty good solution to the rust issues, it seems. I still worry about the frame.
Great review. My 99 F150 is partially aluminum: it’s the hood. That background music gave me anxiety 😄

@@mywaymanufacturing2817 you can turn it off with forscan fyi! Super great program and removes all dinging. Can remove the drivers seat ding too, tho you should just wear your seatbelt in my humble opinion.
