That's interesting! It's a start. Some of the accents were more convincing than others. The Mexican sounded a bit Spanish, and the general American sounded a bit British. To my American ear, the Irish, British, French and Australian ones sounded convincing. Anytime you pick one accent and say "this is Australian", some people are going to say "that's not right" because of the endless variety that exists. Especially the American Southern accent is hard to pin down, because there isn't one -- there are very many :-). Not at all sure about the test question. It's non-rhotic, so maybe from the UK somewhere :-).

I can only speak for the American accents, but they were horrible. The Texan accent sounded cartoonish, and the general American accent was overannunciated. I think maybe there was a prompt for the whole thing that was a play, especially if you told it to do an over-the-top accent. Perhaps more accents in other languages were also over-the-top.

I want to use voice GPT to learn Spanish . The app allows me to speak in English and I can get a reply in Spanish but the translation is not in real time on the same page. I don’t want to toggle to the translation page. Having a split screen with real time translation would be great. Can you help me with that?

Hello Charlotte, first time here on this channel and first comment. It's a very nice and funny video on a great tool which can help us to practice speaking in some ways if this is all free for us. Speaking is a very difficult skill to realise and practice because we don't always have somebody who can listen to us. It is said that we must not learn an accent because we don't have to eliminate our identity or we must have all the accent inside us but, I don't agree with them....I believe we must pick one for ourselves because we prefer it or we need it and obviously have a general knowledge of all the others because languages are made for communications. What do you think about that, please? Thank you for the video! 🙏😊

It is nice to learn that ChatGPT can be used to learn different accents on different languages. Thanks for the informative video. I suppose that hose accents just need to be taken with a pinch of salt. I cannot talk for any english accent but, that Mexican accent sounded from Spain, in Latin America we do not distinguish clearly the pronunciation of the letters "c", "s", and "z", that small phrase clearly made a differentiation. I suppose that with time they will update the model and will do a better alignment of the accents.

We have the Vyond Professional package and the AI Avatars are "available for additional cost" It's slated at $2 USD per minute / per month if you purchase like 10 or 20 minutes per month. And these minutes do NOT roll over to the next month. So pricing comparison is a little more difficult. I've also worked with Synthesia and where it is easy, i do find it is not as flexible. Still, even in Vyond, you can't make the AI Avatars sit, stand, walk, smile, wave their arms, etc. like you do with the Business Friendly or Contemporary characters. That would be fun.

Thank you for making this video. I've been using Vyond as an instructional designer for 4 years now, but companies are starting to require that I know how to use synthesia as well. So I started to teach myself, but I don't like having to use both since there are so many similarities now. The one thing that has kept me from committing entirely to vyond is the lack of personal avatars, but you say that I can create them in Vyond. So now I'm seriously thinking of dropping synthesia entirely because I don't see any other reason to keep it in my workflow. Did I understand you correctly? Can I make up to 3 personal avatars in Vyond?

My biggest dilemma for Storyline 360 content is what aspect ratio to use. I stick to the "old school" 4:3 ratio because it looks better than 16:9 on mobile while in portrait view. And also iPads are 4:3. Many new laptops are going back to that 4:3 or 3:2 aspect ratio as well. No easy answer that's for sure. I wish Storyline 360 would let you do dynamic positioning of on-screen elements.
