I remember when the RIGHT was up in arms about "paternal sexism" being "too feminist" in movies/shows/books like "The Witcher" because the father's role in that media was to guide, protect and affirm his Strong Female Character™️ daughter . . . I also remember at that time movies and shows were switching from portraying romantic relationships to familial ones (the sisters in Frozen, the entire video game industry was about fathers (God of War, the Witcher, the last of Us, etc.). Fictional moms and dads were saving their daughters from relationships with men who were portrayed as villains, the left was eating it up, and the right (or, at least, the manosphere) hated it. Now this is considered "sexist" and "paternalistic" . . . What happened in 5 years . . . ?

Disney actually surprised me with some of the announcements. I've always loved the lego SW games so I'll definitely be checking that out I've seen a lot of people dissing Skeleton Crew as Goonies in space but if it's better than the s**t we've had recently in live action(yes, The Acolyte, I'm looking at you) then I can't wait Mando and Grogu are the best things to come out of Disnay SW so really looking forward to the movie. I totally agree, these people need therapy sessions with professionals instead of projecting their issues onto the viewing audience. A parent's primary responsibility is to make sure their children are okay. I'm turning 50 this year, I'm currently going through some mental health issues and my parents, who are in their 70s, are checking in with me every day to make sure I'm okay and asking if I need any support from them. This is what parents do.

No, these people are not ok. But they *believe* they are ok, and that everyone should agree with them. So they make an allegedly “star wars” story where it is a moral triumph to kill someone because he loves you and wants to support you. Genuinely grotesque, and I’m not surprised. Things have been getting worse in Disney star wars. So now there’s a show where the writers genuinely believe the Jedi were wrong to defend themselves (and a child) from seriously dark stuff (including mind r-), where a Sith is justified in killing many Jedi because he wants personal freedom, and where even murder of a former loved one can be good if the killer *feels* it is. They do need therapy, but instead they made a show. I’m glad you can (mostly) put this show behind you. I was going to write a parody of the fight scenes in the fifth episode and the numerous terrible decisions made, but I decided my mental health would benefit from just forgetting the whole mess
