This is marinating in the fridge right now. It already smells so good. I can't wait to take it out of the slow cooker! I was just wondering if anyone has experienced more flavor marinating it longer than 8 hours? Or using pork butt vs. shoulder?

Fun fact: It's pronounced Poh-keh, not Pokie. And real Poke' bowls are only White Steamed Sushi Rice and Poke', topped with a drizzle of Shoyu. Non-locals started adding in all kinds of other stuff. Other than that, looks good. 😊

@@serenarich6559 the water in your sink hitting them spreads germs all over your kitchen and patting them down with a damp cloth or even just drying them off with paper towels is better to get any stuff off em
@@serenarich6559 so this is from the cdc, it's not quoted but it's basically what they said, you shouldn't wash chicken or any poultry because it spreads germs other things like counter tops and can also spread germs into other food like your salads if those are near when washing the chicken. It can be veary hard to tell where these germs spread if you wash your chicken. Also when cooking the chicken, all the germs get cooked out, so it's not even necessary. If you want to keep washing your chicken, you do you, but I would strongly advise against it. Not cleaning it also doesn't result in any worse of a taste. Hope this helped.
Thanks for the info.I dont wash meat in my sink its not hygienic.The way you do it is the kosher way get a bowl with salt n water and then pat dry it use gloves and a big plastic underneath the area you clean.Never in all my years got sick Thanks my Creator.I dont like old blood on meat that is dangerous.FYI
@@Memeable12 i dont trust anything the cdc has to say they have been know in recent times to make other safe and effective recommendations.I wash all my chickens with applecider and never had any issues.Thanks for looking out.Blessings

What’s the seasoning blend?
It says 2 tbsp sazon and 1 tbsp adobo in the description. Not sure if there is more

How long to cook an 11lb pork shoulder in a slow cooker?
I’m trying this today. My question is do you add water in the crock and do I have to add onions and peppers like a traditional pot roast

Over the thanksgiving weekend we had a bone in butt roast. She cooked it for 6 hours it was a lot smaller than your traditional pernil pork shoulder size. Hers came out really good. So I’m going to do a pernil versión of it using your time due to the size difference.

How do you make the crispy skin on the side??
Since its in the slow cooker it wont make the crispy skin, you will need to roast it in the oven for that 😊
