I met this group around 67 or 68 sang with them a few times and then Rem invited me to be on his TV show and was a really good time--Nice to bring back old times.

I grew up watching 'The Green Valley Jamboree' with Rem Wall on WKZO Ch. 3 ... The program was a regional staple for many years . Mr. Wall was a long time employee of Gibson Guitars in Kalamazoo . Rendell is a principle in the Heritage Guitar Company , operating from the original Gibson factory .
When I took some guitar lessons, the instructor told me to listen to a band, and I just realized that Rendal Wall was playing in the band,Green Valley Jamboree, my dad would always have Rem Wall & his band on t.v., so I had been listening to Rem & his son previously, Rem had passed away but I did not know I was listening to his son awhile back. I got the pleasure of meet Mr. Rem Wall when walking towards the store front in Kazoo, very nice man! I just read Rem is from Iowa, I do believe this men are probably playing Gibson guitars made in Kalamazoo, these men can play those guitars take note.
Rem wrote this
Does anyone know what year this was recorded? I'd guess late '80s or early '90s.
Hello! I'm looking for my father..black gentleman whose name was Jesse; he apparently stayed at the Kalamazoo YMCA in Michigan; this would be like in the early 60s & he played guitar ...some say he knew Rem Wall! Is there anyone out there that would know about him ... apparently he is my birth father. Thank you kindly and God bless ♡
Rendall was my teacher for a few years. This is the brilliant player I remember. This guitar work is as good as any, just gorgeous. Brings fantastic memories. Am very proud to have learned from Rendall. And look at those gorgeous old Heritages!!!
used to see him eating his lunch in bellisles store in parchment michigan 1960s.
Remember them very well.
Hi Bob are you the guy who produced the album Bob Rowe's Music Box?
My friends down here in Crossville Tennessee think Willy is the artist on remember me . I sang what I could remember of it and they saisd I was singing it wrong LOL. I have posted the short version on youtube would like to post the full version so they can see how it was done by Rem thanks Jack Melling formerly from Jackson
Remembering the shows from my childhood. Loved it every Saturday night.. What great memories.. SO sad no shows were kept on tape.. Tragedy :(
TheInvincibleViolet ....not even on RUclips. Guess you had to come from Kalamazoo (Richland) to appreciate them.
My dad used to watch the Rem Wall gang perform on a Kalamazoo, Michigan TV station during the 50's. 60's or whatever, and my mother hated it!
I was raised in Michigan , my mom never missed Green Valley Jamboree .
i used to live in Hartford Michigan as a kid, did your uncle work at a auto parts store ?
Greetings. I grew up in Watervliet, and remember watching Green Valley Jamboree on TV. I also lived 4 miles north of Hartford for 15 years as an adult.
Beautiful job, men.
Pleasant Memories
@songman11 I have uploaded the 'last' aired show from November, 29th 1980. if you type .. "crashmaster57" in the youtube search-window it should come right up. If not email me @ packrat297@yahoo.com and I'll send you the link.
My uncle howard played the steel guitar on that show.
This is a great memory for me. I was on GVJ 1961 to 63. The song that I had many request for was "How Far is Heaven". Golly it was nice to re-visit my beginning in the entertainment industry. I went under Darlene at the time. I moved to California and signed with my manager, Herm Saunders (co-producer of "Adam 12 ". I started recording with Gene Autry's Republic Records and started traveling with my band throughout the US and went overseas to Asia to entertain our troops in 1969.
Would you possibly have a vid of the tv show Rem and the boys put on every Sat. night back in the 1960s.. I used to love when Jimmy would play Tiger Rag and Rendall played, I esp. recall Rem singing "Oh Remember Me" , the theme.. I can still hear it in my head. !! Do you have a video of Rem singing that song? Would appreciate you posting it. Thanks !!
