Here in the northland of Kansas City we’ve just had two culverts like this put in on our road. It’s amazing how fast they’ve gone in. They built the first , allowing us access from the north. And then built the north creek crossing, allowing us access from the south

In 2002 it cost us 170k to repower a 657E I can't remember exactly how many we Repowered around 50 and probably 30B models and I think we had about 80 651B and E models we repowered along with all the support equipment we repowered when we started doing are B models cat diddent even have a replacement engine they wanted us to trade in and buy new but we found a cat Industrial engine that meet all the EPA requirements came up with are own jig patterns and started are own repower program after awhile cat was on are job sigh checking are work and doing some copying and started there own program there was alot of contractors in the state that had alot of equipment cat Seen dollar sighs realized averybody wasn't going to trade in and by new we would get on repower programs with the county and they would pay for a major part of the bill for the repower all we had to do is agree to keep that machine in there county for 2 years or pay Penalties. Sometimes we were so scarce on equipment that we did pay the penalties And run. The equipment in another county.

I ran a Cat 651 tractor with a 641 pan in 1963 building Interstate 80 in Nebraska. Used the smaller pan because we were moving mostly sand which was a lot heavier than dirt. Used a D-9 push Cat to load us. We were hauling our loads quite a distance so they wanted us to run flat out which us younger operators liked. Couldn't use seat belts it would shake you to death, just stand up and flex your knees. Fun job, good memories.

Not sheeted correctly. The plywood should have been staggered and interlaced, not butt joined. They try to hide it, but you can tell. Probably wont make a difference though.
