CBS Saturday Morning TV 1985 Here's a little snippet of the end of Dungeons & Dragons with the CBS bumpers, commercials, IN THE NEWS segment and the beginning of Land of the Lost. This is from November 23rd, 1985.
hello I watched an episode of the show I love the actors but the show wasn't great good try. mash was a classic show.cheers
I thought klinger stayed in Korea
I thought Father Mulcahy was deaf?
@@RivieraUnivox that’s true I forgot that. He lost his hearing so how did they explain it coming back lol
Where's the rest of the episodes? I like this!
I did not remember at the time that the great Larry Gelbart was so involved with this series. This would have been a good Sunday evening show, vas the weekend drew to a close. lt was surprisingly detailed in terms of history. Had more energy and wit than l remembered. l was not crazy about the theme song, but it was a show that would have definitely make its own mark, given enough time. Too bad they couldn't have brought McLean in to write and direct.
cool
RIP Marty Krofft 1937-2023.
I loved this show. Even when CBS foolishly decided to place its second season against “The A-Team”, I was a faithful viewer. Had this show lasted five or six seasons, we could had seen LTC Margaret Houlihan make an appearance at the VA. Maybe even LTC Frank Burns? Or Sidney Freeman could had made an appearance. CBS also produced a “W*A*L*T*E*R pilot featuring Radar O’Reilly. Instead of he and his cousin becoming St. Louis police officer, they should had gone to Riverbend and could had been semi-regulars on “AfterMASH”. And remember 1LT Ginger Bayliss from “M*A*S*H”? She should had been featured as General Pershing’s Head Nurse as a Captain. IMO
I loved In The News.Watched it all the time.
That ep with Radar is on you tube. I watched it last week. He was to get married, got cold feet, and rushed to Pooter, where the gang was getting ready to leave for the wedding. They talked sense in him, and the wedding was on. That doc in season 1 is irksome, all he does is eat.No nurse should have to be a phone operator.
Deep sea diving has changed quite a bit. This was also before "Beavis and Butthead do America" came on board.
The previous closing theme may have belonged to "Dungeons and Dragons" since I didn't choose to listen and watch certain Saturday morning cartoon shows. Even though cult cartoon shows were going on strong, back during those days. That's back then during the entire 1980s. Plus, I realized that even Christopher Glenn told us about the very first Thanksgiving, which took place in September 1620. Even though we celebrate Thanksgiving Day in November. The American Indians were resourceful in maintaining food supplies. Did you notice that the "Land of the Lost" Saturday morning TV shows intro is well-known to me? I was also listening and watching the "Saturday Supercade" cartoon series and the "Pole Position" cartoon series as well. 🐉
cop shoots TV. Doesn't understand how entertainment works.
😊
I wish this was more successful. It had very strong potential but not so strong delivery. Mash creators researched experiences of soldiers and war.
I always loved these In The News segments, especially Christopher Glenn,.
Too cute > "...I cant wait to tell Max... but first I have to throw up" lol brings back memories of my first pregnancy.
what a bore
Boring
What happened
That's when people had goodness and decency. Radio was fun and innocent. So thankful Johnny-B came to Chicago. My childhood was more enjoyable because of Johnny-B in the morning. He might've been the inspiration for Bill Murray's antics too.

Sahuaro Hall B-1 baby.... We owned ASU
Sahuaro B-1 co-alum.
That was CBS Saturday morning TV 📺 in the 1980's!!! The commercials and the great voice of Christopher Glenn on the In The News segments were worth watching!!! What we have on today's TV, FORGET ABOUT IT! Rest in peace Christopher Glenn 🙏
This is embarrassing. Phoenix was a real cowtown back then.
Hi, Can you please send me the links of the 2 CBS Storybreak Episodes: Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy and the Camel with the Wrinkled Knees, and What Happened in Hamelin. Let me know when you find them!
Takes me back to my childhood, the stentorian voice of Christopher Glenn was crisp and knowledgeable. The sounder for In The News takes me back... The funny part was that one of the sleestaks on Land of The Lost would eventually be a NBA player (Bill Laimbeer)
.
WOW! It never ceases to amaze me that after all the people in America watched the M*A*S*H Ended. That they could actually think that a spinoff trash could actually work!!!
I have this on VHS.
Slurp gun.
Willy D. Loon! and Steve Goddard on guitar ..
I thought PMS Magazine was great💙
I love how the theme pays homage to its M*A*S*H roots in those first few bars, before the trombone solo begins.
Roughly two months before the Challenger disaster.
Wow... a studio full of carts and Metrocenter packed full of people. This really took me back.
3:25 classic WI phrase ‘come here once’
I watched Sat. morning cartoons in the 70's but in the 80's I was grown up & not interested in them anymore. So I'm surprised to see In The News & reruns of Land Of The Lost still on in late 1985.

Hey Johnny, Eat Me! Right on, Buzz!
He’s back on Saturdays, you can listen to it on his website Jonathan Brandmeier.com, 8 AM PST
Back when we had real news none of this fake news bullshit who's watching in 2020....
In 1970, CBS attempted to do an educational segment called "In The Know", which was "hosted" by Josie and the Pussycats. It did not work and lasted only one season.
Yeah, I had a hard time understanding it.
This when everything was ok for me when I was kid I'm a grow man it still like looking at these bumpers it take me back in the 80's was fun and 90's
In the news: Kaley Cuoco was born on 11-30-1985.
and Moo Moo, I Love You----"Buzz"...
The Loop....Thats all that needs to be said.....
Apparently UPS hasn't changed the design of their trucks and over 35 years.
