It's surging. Pull the carburetor and fuel tank off and clean them. Dirt and debris is in the fuel system more than likely.

Exactly the Same model and same issue. I removed the filter and then used my leaf blower to blow air into the hole for30 seconds. The issue has been fixed. I did not take it apart.

Good thing to do is open the fill plug first before draining the oil. There are two reasons for that, sometimes the fill plug is reluctant to come out or it may even break. The second reason is the oil will drain faster when it is open.

I have the same mower cleaned the carb bought a filter and put new gas but still starts and then shuts off 30secs later any suggestions

Did this with a brand new troybilt after first five hours as recommended. However it would not start afterwords. Had to let it sit for about an hour before it finally struggled to start. Let it run out of gas before changing. Wtf?

I had just cleaned the carburetor on my troy built tb 110 and when I put the gas tank back on it must've put this out of adjustment. After I put everything back together, it was idling low. Did this and it fixed it! Thanks!
