I moved over fourteen times by the time I was fourteen and struggled making and keeping relationships in a situation where I knew I wouldn’t be staying for long. They did. They were being paid very poorly for dealing with very “difficult and violent” children. We were out of school for a few weeks and I remember driving by to drop off cases of water as it was also very hot out. Also thank you ❤

Wait why does the song fit so well?? What’s the story with the metal detector and the fence in front of the swings?
The school has metal detectors at the entrance and each day all the students had to walk through one by one and be scanned because violence was so high. A few kids had knives and they just put them in cubbies for them to pick up at the rest of the day. And recess (The school was for maybe second to twelve grade) was six swings in a small mulch area and wire fence around it that was maybe seven feet high. There was only one gate and they would lock us all inside and wouldn’t open it until the very end.

it cuts off because your phone screen isn't 16:9, it looks fine on any devices that are 16:9, but if its not then it'll cut off at the edges slightly
