This is the 4th video on the greenhouse planting and this video shows the tomato cups filled all the way up now. That program is really good and I intend to do it from now on.
Part 3 - Starting Tomatoes Indoors
Просмотров 6599 месяцев назад
In part 2, I showed how I started my tomatoes this year in red solo cups that were half full of dirt. Based on the plan, once the plants were taller than the cup, I would fill in the rest of the cup and the plants would then develop roots all the way to the top of the cup. I got the idea from another youtuber - and it works!! Just thought you would all want to see the progress. ruclips.net/vide...

Whats wrong with you ? Only person can see it its yo becuse you cove it with your big ass hand
I love this garden tour. Very beautiful garden.
I just got one at 5.5 weeks as well
They can surprise ya!
Amazing, such a haven for wildlife. Those butterflies are literally the same orange tones.
We thought that was wild also!
1,box,to every 3 birds..plus your boxes are to little for them hens...pat in Ireland
Well, they laid fine in them and in fact I would often find 2 hens in one box!
🐔😍
Just got mine. I agree with the poor design. Because the legs don't close completely into the stand when folded up, one of my leg screws is broken.
What does it mean when it's clear?😭
It's not fertile
Good video. I never candle my eggs because taking them out and the temp differences can kill the embryo. Also accidents happen like dropping the egg by accident just enough to crack the shell. Better to just be patient and find out later on hatch day.
Any type will work for seedlings, try growing a full cannabis plant with any of the lights you have, they won't produce,a good led light has Samsung diodes meanwell drivers and at least 300 watts
Those look like some lower end led's, so your fluorescent light should be comparable if not a lil better. The newer, more expensive led's are really where you get your money's worth
I looked at other leds but most of them are reviewed as reefer lights. I’m not growing reefer and I only need the lights for 6-8 weeks.
Fair enough but at the end of the day it's just plant light the lights don't care if they're growing reefer or pumpkins they're going to work the same
@@step-hen7847 That is true to a certain extent. Seedlings aren't going to bloom or produce fruit so I won't need that spectrum or that intensity.
Just until I transplant to the greenhouse- so I guess that’s the whole grow😊. Thanks for commenting
For da whole grow?
keep us updated👍🏼✅
Ok. Me too! Do you have a contact page or email? I am new to homesteading and would love tips or to visit etc.!
Just keep an eye on videos we post here or you can go to fixngrow.com for more information. Thanks
@@fixngrow thank you!!
Hello! Where are you guys located at?
we are in north Georgia
Do you think your nesting boxes are big enough .?
Oh yeah. Often we would find 2 chickens in the same box. Unfortunately, the choose a favorite box and then everyone wants to use it. They like the boxes to be snug as it makes them feel secure. Snug, but not too tight. Thanks for your question!
It was too hot to produce anything in AZ. My cosmos grew over 5ft without a bud, now cooler temps in Sept. flowers bursting, dragonflies, butterflies, bees, praying mantis all over the place. Even my veggies are ripening. Thank you for sharing.
Beautiful! ❤️
Love the garden the flowers are beautiful. Y'all have a lot of good stuff growing.
THank you!!!!
Where can we get the Pan
@@fixngrow hey thanks for replying, I m from India...I don't your store is not accessible here
WHERE DID YOU PURCHASE THESR QUAIL CAGES????😮😮😮
Your garden is beautiful ❤️
Awesome do you have a link for who you got the cage from??? I love Myshire Farm channel, Zack is very helpful. New Subber here.
Why are you not eating eggs anymore?
My wife had two heart attacks and we switched to a plant-based diet that doesn't include eggs or oil. I could still eat them but I want to be encouraging so we are eating the same. After 43 years of marriage, you really become a team!
@@waltroderick103 I am sorry to hear that. But If don't you don't mind, I would like to recommend a youtuber named Dr. Ken Berry.. He is very informative on Proper Human Diet.
@@quailshirefarms I appreciate the recommendation!
Did your temp and humidity levels fluctuate a lot but not below 98.8 and up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit and anywhere between 30- 51% humidity? Some people have told me that 60% is ok. It’s my first time incubating quail eggs. I have 38 jumbo pearl fee eggs inside my nurture right 360 right now… they have been in there for 5 days already.
@@fixngrow I have a blanket wrapped around it and I also have a blanket on the table they are sitting on… my house has poor ac and heating… not all the cool air or heat reaches all over the house, and I have a lot of windows, but I keep them closed anyways. I don’t have a basement either cuz southern california or most of California in general don’t have basements in their houses. But someone told me that it’s normal cuz it acts like a mother hen in a sense. When she gets up to eat some food and drink some water the temps and humidity will fluctuate. So cross fingers that my eggs will be ok and hatch out at a 80% hatch rate.
@@kathleenmonsegue9700 Yes, some fluctuation is okay - but you really don't want changes of more than a degree on a regular basis. Like you said, in real life the hen would occasionally get up to eat, but if ever watched a chicken sitting on the eggs, the don't move off of them much.
Can we use mobile torch for it?
Yes you can I do that
done subscribe😊
So sorry to hear about your wife, things unexpected happen so fast. Wishing her the best.
Put some cardboard in your growing beds to keep the weeds out !🤗
@@fixngrow be sure to put at least 2 layers down and add soil goid luck !🤗
@@fixngrow your welcome! ☺️
How wass the hatch?!??
Beautiful garden! God bless! God is good!
Looking good sir… Progress is fun.. Love your water catchment system.
Nice job!!!
Great Video- I love your setup.
When you check the fertile ones your hand is in the way. Id like to better see what a fertile one looks like. Thank you
I keep my male in a cage by himself across from my cage with the females. He stays pretty quiet as long as he sees them. I have very sweet birds I stopped all bad behavior by putting all hens on the ground with a sand bath and food & water 2-3 times a week they go out in morning and put them back at night. 5 hens to a cage. No one pecks or fights. I put colors on the cage and color bands on the leg to make sure the right hens go to the same cage every time. I have such a happy group. I let the male out with them once a week to visit hes respectfully. They have a good routine.
Wao they are very pretty and I love the chicken coop! Great job.
Do you set the days to 17 or 18 for your quail? I am incubating for the first time with the nurture right this weekend and this is really stumping me. I’ve heard 17 days, I’ve heard 18 days. I’ve heard lockdown at 14..I’ve heard it on day 15. Is this just the difference between people that count the start day as day 1, and the people who say it’s been one day after 24 hours?
@@fixngrowthank you. Do you count the day you set the eggs as day 1?
I can not find your video on recalibrating the temperature and humidity.
@@fixngrow thank you
Hello I used this incubator in NJ it worked perfectly! But now Im in Costa Rica and Im triying to use it with equail eggs But the humidity is super high and I havent put water in it! Do you have a recomendation?
@@Cabrii You may need an air conditioner/dehumidifier in the room.
LoL That was funny. Love the girls bachelorette pad. They are certainly beautiful ladies! I think you're on the incubator. I have a Hova-Bator 2370 and it does an amazing job keeping the heat consistent. You don't get the clear viewing window but you'll certainly get a better yield I would think. I doubt you have sterile roos. After watching your last hatching videos I was thinking it would be interesting to see if maybe it was something else like their food or stress etc. I find incubating, hatching and raising birds fascinating and looking forward to getting my quail house set up and start my own hatching! 😁
Just a suggestion. Any time you take your incubator top off. It’s good practice to turn it off. It constantly runs when it’s like you had it. The temperature can get way up there. When you put the lid back on it will raise the temperature of the eggs. Just a suggestion.
Thank you for the advice!!!
Where did you purchase your quail egg turner. Thanks for the video
Sorry. I never saw your comment. You can get it through my Amazon link below the video.
Just got mine in. Very disapointed in how the legs attach and adjust. Very poor design. I will be changing mine on how it works.
Attach a link when you’re done so my viewers can see your final product!
Is the turner supposed to keep turning or does it stop and start back up on it’s own or do you have to press the plus and minus each time you want to turn eggs
For some reason I never saw your comments. It is automatic.
I don’t see a problem really you got some quails hatched from your own flock. Good work I’m following along
Interesting keep us updated. I'm raising some quail now they are only three day old.
@@fixngrow I raised them once before and ate a few at 6 week that were delicious and then a weasel got through the roll out slot and got the rest 🤷♂️ no roll out on my new coop
Thanks for this video. Getting my first eggs in April and am using this incubator.
They are all so beautiful ❤❤❤
On what day do you check your eggs and thanks for sharing ❤
