A lot of the media tries to excuse the poor writing of modern Marvel films by calling the fans sexist. However the majority of fans are only bothered by the way the new female heroes are being written, not the simple fact that they are a woman means that the movie or show is automatically unwatchable. (Because that's stupid) Two great examples are She-hulk and Captain Marvel. She-hulk instantly has no problem controlling a form it took Bruce over four movies to control and master, she puts in no work and gets it instantly, then lectures him that her life is harder than his just because she's a woman, despite the fact this man has been a gladiator slave and had to flee the country. This makes her come across as more of an arrogant jerk, than a hero. As for Captain Marvel, her character was given no real flaws in her original movie it was other people holding her back and she was always powerful all along. But then, where is her growth as a person, there was none. It could've been a message about her lacking confidence, and then learning to believe in herself but it didn't even go that route with it. She has no confidence issues, or any issues at all, it's boring! They refuse to give these female characters flaws because it goes against their new girl boss narrative. So none of them can go on the heroes journey, with only two exceptions. Kate Bishop and Ms.Marvel, since both characters are teenagers I believe they actually allow them to have the flaw of being inexperienced or naïve, so people actually like them. And guess what? They're women? So the argument makes no sense. Heroes are supposed to be flawed at the start, then learn to overcome those flaws and become better people, that's what makes them admirable in the first place. It's also the reason Iron Man is more popular than Cap, because Cap was an almost perfect goody too shoes from the start. It's why Batman is far more popular than Superman, Supes is perfect too perfect, that's why Batman is largely preferred because he's flawed. It shouldn't be a gender issue, it's a writing issue. Marvel needs to start hiring people again who they KNOW can write good action stories

I actually didn't dislike Quantumania. Imo it was mid. But I think the problem with it is it's a star wars film with antman instead of being a heist film. There is A HEIST but it's not really a HEIST FILM. The heist is a side quest that last like 10 minutes. I like heist films and antman films are fun heist films. Antman isn't the best star wars film

Thank you 👏🏾 as a Sam Rami fan, I feel his directing is an acquired taste. I feel most fans of the Rami spiderman films aren't actually Rami fans. His female characters do suck so badly vs other female characters. Rami spiderman MJ is not comic accurate other than how she looks, is a toxic lady, and is kinda boring love interest stock character. I even like Wanda in multiverse of madness but again as a Rami fan I know what I'm getting myself into. I don't think most fans of the Rami spiderman films truly have realized how poor his female characters are portrayed or how his style really is off putting to a lot of people. It's mind boggling how so many fans seem to not understand that they just are the biggest fan of Rami's style despite like his spiderman films. His other films/style don't mesh with a lot of fans

I disagree about no way home. I'll admit it has a lot of fan service but that's kinda why we as fans like mcu films right? Iron Man, Thor, captain America, avengers, infinity war, and endgame all have huge amounts of fan service. For comic book fans for phase one mostly but avengers, infinity war, and endgame all heavily rely on mcu fan service. But where I disagree is the story. Take away the multiverse part of the 2 films and what is left? Into the spider verse basic spiderman origin story. It is literally just spiderman (2002) or amazing spiderman (2012) but with an afro-latino miles instead of white peter. The story for no way home is not a basic origin even tho it still is kinda an origin film? The story is spiderman wants to heal the trauma of some villains. He is being a friendly neighborhood spiderman and trying to heal people who are lost in his community. Even though they are villains. And Peter SUFFERS for being a good person and helping people. But for him it is worth it since he feels that's the point of him having his powers, to help people. Even people who might be bad. It's a film about second chances. But it also by the end is the origin of mcu spiderman graduating from iron boy jr to a proper spiderman. I know I'm in a minority but to me Dr strange and spiderman fight is what makes the films so good not just the other spiderman. Multiverse stuff is sprinkles on a good story sundae imo

I don't like Shang chi very much but I'm surprised how many don't. Like black widow I feel it suffers in the 3rd act. Maybe that's why. I thought most of the fandom loved Shang chi? I thought I was an oddball out? Imo it's just too much with the Kaiju monster battle with dweller in darkness and the great protector. Imo if it had focused just on Shang chi, Wenwu, Xialing, and Katy it would be among some of my fav mcu films.

As a guy mcu who feels phase 4 was the best mcu phase, the reason why I was so disappointed by black widow was the third act. The second act imo is sooo good. But I do feel the 3rd act is where a lot of mcu fans might be divided. It's one of the very few phase 4 films I didn't enjoy mainly because of the 3rd act. And the cgi I think is a reason that doesn't make sense. The cgi with banner in the iron man suit in infinity war is very poor cgi but I haven't heard any say it ruins all of Infinity war. One moment with poor cgi I don't think ruins an entire film

I thought it was great, it sort of looks like a action mystery thriller, and I’m into that, so I can’t wait! And I thought that werewolf by night trailer was really great as well😩they’re slowly leaning into darker tones stories and characters for sure, so really excited for that as well!!!

GLK&H superhuman law! From the Dan Slott run of She-Hulk comics. I've been wanting this in the MCU since the MCU began. The firm was foreshadowed all the way back in Agent Carter. Things are about to get weird.

I think they are probably not finished with the CGI yet that's why she looks a little weird but Tatiana Maslany is a very talented actress (she was the lead actress in Orphan Black, it's a great show) so I'm excited to see the show.

As a fan are you upset they are changing her power set? I think her use of cosmic power is cool. The stretchy effect is a hard one so far to translate on the screen.
