That darned Parkinsons is a their it robbed people of the thing they love most. I was not able to go to any of Neil's concerts, but 'm greatful for his videos. I can't imagine the energy that was there, cause I can feel it through the whole process. BEAUTIFUL INDEED. Thank Neil
Band personnel Neil Diamond: vocals and guitar Doug Rhone: guitars Hadley Hockensmith: guitars Bill Cinque: bass guitar Tom Hensley: keyboards Marc Lavang: keyboards Ron Tutt: drums King Errisson: percussion Julia Waters: vocals Maxine Waters: vocals Don Markese: saxophones, flute Larry Klimas: saxophones, flute, harmonica and accordion John Fumo: trumpet, flugelhorn Art Velasco: trombone
He never disappoints wonderful and it's so sad he can't tour anymore because he has Parkinsons At least we have records of his great songs to listen to
It is a scam people wake up and fake news Neil Diamond doesn't have Parkinson's disease it is a rumor someone is pretending to be Neil Diamond it happens to be true and I have talked to his daughter and she said that said that is a rumor.
@cindyberg it is a scam people wake up it is fake news and false information Neil Diamond doesn't have Parkinson's disease it is a rumor someone is pretending to be Neil Diamond has it .don't believe everything you hear.
I never get a chance to see him in concert in person and when he last came to my area I didn't think about going. Didn't think it would be the last time. It was ten years ago. But he was periscoping his concerts thru the United States in 2016. His younger wife that he married in 2012 was doing the filming while he performed and sometimes she would appear from backstage and other times she would be walking around the venue. It was interesting. After a while they got repetitive but I got to see him in New York City, Houston, Chicago, The Mohegan Sun somewhere in Connecticut and lastly in Des Moines through Periscope. Periscope unfortunately is defunct now. After they quit filming the concerts and moved on he announced that he had early stages of Parkinsons disease and was retiring from performing. That came a year later when he was to perform Australia but cancelled everything.
. . . Quite obviously you did … ‘get a chance to see him when he last came to my area but I didn’t think about going …’ Just out of interest , which area and how close by was Neil to be-?.. I have read of this style of comment before from ‘across the pond’ … “If he’s not pitching-up at the end of my street - or nearby, I’m not bothering” has been a recurring underlying ‘thread’.
He sings fór his fans, tó his fans, (about his fans), from the dephts of his soul, heart and he means every word he sings ! And that for 50+ years, what a gift he has given us in áll these years !!! Hope he enjoys his life still with his wife Katie and I think him for giving us all these gifts which we can still enjoy, those are 'So good, So good, So good ' !!!! Ty Mr. Neil Diamond, ty, ty, ty !!! Forever thankfull !
WHOO HOOOOOOO WHOOOO HOOOOO !!!! The GREATEST OF THE BEST !!!! YOU !!!! OH I LOVE YOU NEIL DIAMOND !!!! I FEEL BETTER BIG DADDY !!!! MY DADDY MICHAEL S PERKINS SHARED HIS MUSIC WITH ME !!!! HIS MUSIC WAS YOURS !!!! I LOVE YOU !!!! NEIL DIAMOND AND MS KATIE MCNEIL
I love this man since the first time I heard him in 1972 until today we grew up old together and I had the privilege to see him in concert at the beginning of the 90 and I was amazed to see so many families and generations together enjoining and singing together, it’s been one of the best concert and experience I ever had, his music touched my heart and soul
Is it true this LEGEND has Parkinson's and has retired? I've seen him in concert twice. Upgraded seating was such a beautiful surprise. Love you Neil !!! Thank you for the memories 💕
I have never been to Neil Diamonds concert at all but I am happy that it is on you tube so I can listen to his complete concert I am sad because I never had money to go to Neil Diamonds concerts and I love his singing and his songs and am happy that he cares for his fans and we all care for him as well, God Bless Neil Diamond.
Four years on … Neil and his team alway’s worked hard to keep ticket prices as friendly as possible. Keep in mind that the artist only receive’s about 50% - of the ‘gate’. I first saw Neil in London in June of ‘77 ; the ‘nose bleed’ ticket cost £5:50 or about $7:50 - at the time. Throughout the following U.K. tours in 1984, ‘89, ‘92, ‘96 & ‘99 - the ticket prices were from £24’s ($30 or so) to £33 ($40 or so) over a 16-year duration - quite remarkable with the wonder of hindsight ! Neil was throughout those year’s promoted by English-based promoter’s. In the early (and onward) ‘2,000s’ … the ‘LIVE NATIONS’ of this world (U.S. based and by the societal mores of ‘doing business’ : GREED merchants) started ‘upping the ante’ to quote a gambling term. In his following U.K. tour’s of 2002, ‘05, ‘08, ‘11, ‘15, and his final tour in October ‘17 ticket prices increased from £50s ($65-70) to £95-120 on his final tour. Already, at that point in time, some others were already in the £150-200 price range. And what do we now have over these past several years-?.. ‘ D y n a m i c p r i c i n g ‘ . . . ALL G R E E D based and derived . Neil was a l w a y s worth every single penny … and so very much more.
I had the privilege of seeing Neil in Tampa, FL, in 2015. The best concert I have ever gone to. Neil, you are so loved. I loved your concert and will never forget it.
Five years on … Neil toured extensively from 1970 onwards . European concert tours : 13 in total. N. America - too many to recall. Over 2,000 or so concert’s in total. Plus Australia & New Zealand on about 6 tour’s also. Even four rugby stadium sized concert’s in S. Africa in a 2011 . Where have you been living-?..
I have had the privilege of seeing Neil 9 times from 1983 to 2017. What a showman! !!! While I am saddened that his health prohibits him from touring, I am looking forward to his next studio album. His impact on my life is immeasurable, and all positive. THANKS NEIL! "HELL YEAH" to all the studio albums that are yet to come!!!!!
Hey Sam, Gotcha beat. Took mom to see him 18 times. Went to both of his last two shows here in US at the Forum in Los Angeles. Hi is truly one of a kind and still sad wont be able to see him in concert again.
