2004 Polaris Predator with a 2006 GSX-R 750 engine swap build. Photos and videos.
Interesting I thought it would be a bit more but nice build I'm building something very similar right now.
Awesome build also building something similar hope mine goes as well as your thanks for the informed video
Scary part is you wherent even breaking 10k rpms if you would’ve revved it out more it would’ve been nuts
Olá amigo vc sabe mim informar qual é o tamanho do eixo traseiro desse quadriciclo
Eu usei o eixo Polaris Predator padrão
How much would it be to have u guys make me one? Just Curious
Does your rear bottom out? or you adjusted rear suspension?
I have the stock fox shock as stiff as it will go. I haven't ever bottomed out but I also never really jump it. I do trail ride it, I put the stock front shocks on, and change tires. In the trails it rides fine, but I've never full on jumped it with the extended swingarm. I have a stock rear swingarm to try out but just never got around to it.
@@ericseyler3532 right right, thanks, i got a yfz 450 with a 750 gsxr engine it it but i dont jump just trail and i believe i need to change rear suspension or a lift kit, i wud want to take my wife but with both of us it bottoms out
Can you please help me build 1
What muffler u got
It's just a cheap eBay universal exhaust.
Hey brother, I'm looking to put a ZZR600 in my 05 pred. Any chance I can have your email to ask some questions about the build?
Hit me up on Facebook messenger.
Cool
How much Will it cost if I asked you to build me one?
I'm not really looking to build another quad anytime soon. I've had a bunch of people ask me if I'd build another. I'm no professional, anyone with some mechanical ability can do it. As far as price, mine ended up costing about $4000. Now I had some of the parts as spares from my other quad. I'm glad you checked out the video and thanks for the comment, but I don't think I'll be building any for anyone else. It is awesome that you think it's cool enough to have me build one for you. The gesture is greatly appreciated.
I understand that. & no problem.
Very nice job u did.
Thanks, I appreciate it.
That looks awesome !!!!!! You still have it ??
Just went over everything and got it ready for the race season.
Howd you use the stock tank without the fuel pump?
I have a fuel tank under the seat and I'm using an external fuel pump. The tank on top is from a Polaris Outlaw. It's just there really for looks and it also holds the ECU.
You can see the tank at 1:38 and also at 2:00
Gotcha, what pump did you use? I'm looking at building something similar myself, just don't want the giant motorcycle tank in my way
Put a zx6 on my 07 outlaw but used the motorcycle tank..makes it a bit of a pain in the ass to work around
I'm using a Walbro GSL392 and an eBay fuel pressure regulator. Right now I'm running 70 psi. The stock pressure for the engine is 43 psi but as of right now I'm not running any air filters.
That awesome Faster than my dads KingQuad 5000 or 500
Engine hp? How many ccm?
Not sure of the actual horsepower to the wheels. There aren't any quad dynos around here. The engine is stock so going by what other 750 gixxers the same year have put out it should be somewhere in the 120 range give or take. I'm currently looking for a dyno to take it too. If I ever get to find out I'll certainly post it. Thanks for checking out the video.
thats sick asf. im planning on mounting my FZ750 motor into an atv any certain atv frame i should go for?
I would say to go with any larger displacement sport frames. I used the predator frame because I own a 2004 that is mostly stock and I had a bunch of extra parts laying around. Really your going to have to modify any frame you use but I went into the build knowing that I was going to use that frame because I knew it inside and out.
what was the main struggle? thanks for the reply.
Check out my other videos, since the build I've been messing with different sprockets and now it's running just shy of 90mph in second gear. Always room for improvement.
i will.
There were actually three challenges, the first was the frame. Figuring out how I wanted the frame to surround the engine and still look good was important to me. Also making sure the sprockets lined up right. The second was the fuel system. My engine is fuel injected so I had to relocate the tank and add a fuel pump and regulator with a return line to do it right. The last thing was the wire harness. I'm not an electrical genius so I sent the harness to Hyper Racing here in P.A. They specialize in 600cc micro sprints and simplify the harnesses so they only have the necessary wires to make the engine run.
