The song is Brighid's Kiss as sung by Triniti which is a traditional Irish song. This video is dedicated to my Matron Goddess Brid, in honor of her coming on Imbolc. I am a flame keeper. ordbrighideach.org/raven/index.php

After filming what I got from MsSophiaDawn my cat, Patchouli, thought it was a good idea to steal my back scratcher. She has an obsession with all things shiny, she steals lighters, pens, hair clips etc etc..really anything shiny or sparkly is fair game for Patchouli.
Phelps A Thon

At the beginning of the Summer I heard that Fred Phelps and the members of the Westboro Baptist Chruch were going to vist St. Louis to protest the Elton John/Billy Joel concert. Westboro is infamous for their " God Hates Fags" protests. Well we got a group of people together and had a protest of our own. We protested the presence and message of the Westboro Baptist Church and promoted Diversity...
Victorian Post Mortem Photography -WARNING NOT FOR THE SENSITIVE VIEWER!
Просмотров 453 тыс.15 лет назад
I have an interest in Victorian post mortem photography. These are some of the photos I've collected from onilne sources. These pictures are of children in the Victorian era. In that time period it was common for families to have photos taken of their children after death because photography was expensive and other family members couldn't always make it to the funeral and they wanted a momento ...
I keep a fire every Imbolc, tho I am not an official flame keeper.
This song is ever in my 🖤
How sad how many sets of twins there were. My grandfather was a fraternal twin and not he and his brother were born in 1918. I had my own set of fraternal boys in 2013 and I don't know how it could be done without advanced medical care.
How did they hold the body of the adults? there is a picture that I have seen around and I heard that is impossible to keep a dead body stand
We all die , but this shows the heartbreak of those lift behind .The living are the ones who suffer loosing there loved ones on earth 🌷💞
It's not for morbidity or anything like that but it would be great to know the story behind the photo.
It makes my heart hurt, the pain all these poor parents were in over the loss of their precious child 😪
Love Brigit The Queen of The fire
Hail Our Lady of Perpetual Flame! Our Beloved Goddess Brighid bless us and Our Planet!😘💖🤗👍☘☘☘
My final request is for someone to take a final pic of me but with me sitting up with my eyes open
When photos were expensive and one photo took a long time to arrange . Would have cost probably a year or mores salary. Not creepy or morbid, but beautifuly done, i hate to say this,. but most of those pictures are better than a lot around today, .
I am a flame keeper too. Blessed be 😘💖💖💖 Hail Brid!!! And Her sacred flame!!!🌞🔥🔥🔥
This song is beautiful
Hail Goddess! Hail the Sacred Flame! Hail Goddess Brigid!
Whew! This gave me chills! The eternal flame within me caught fire! 🔥💜 Hail Brigid! 👏
I find it so sad the babys to die so young
So many children, so sad.😿
Name of the song ?
Martin novelo it’s in the description
Some of these are NOT post mortem.
In the mid to late 1800's the mortality rate of young children started going down pretty fast. In the early days of America, just under 30 percent of newborns could be expected to live past the age of two
🕯
Why wait till their dead? Some of these kids must of died of child diseases.
I'm thinking that most of these people could've been saved by the vaccines & medicines we have today.
Susan Fabian well no because the vast majority of them are not dead in these pictures. When vaccines were killing lots of children then just like they do today. In fact the anti-vaccine movement was even stronger but then than it is today. Food for thought.
Not just diseases but accidents or poisoning. There were a lot of new inventions or discoveries people didn't know could kill them if not handled properly.
What's a Post mortem?
After life. If you didn't realize it, these photos all have a person that has died in them.
No, not all of THESE do. This has many that are done artistically with sleeping kids, or just caught someone in a bad pose.
How heartbreaking that the only picture these families might have of their beloved children might be after the sweet child passed away.
if you do not know who is dead and who is not because it is not obvious i will tell you if they are not looking at the camera or they seem limp or the picture is very clear then you are looking at a dead person .
Oh, so every time I see someone on Facebook who is not looking at the camera, I’ll just assume is a deceased person? OK. What makes you think people didn’taccidentally blink back then, be posed awkwardly, or simply take a bad picture? With your reasoning, one of my sisters has been dead her whole life. She’s beautiful but has NEVER taken a good picture. Her eyes look unfocused, closed, almost slack jawed trying to not have a fake smile.
Wanted to give this video a like, but also wanted to keep it at 666 likes. \,,/
It's actually more sad.......
I watched on a mortuary RUclips channel that most of the time the people in the photos aren’t actually dead, a lot of adults and fidgety children couldn’t keep still long enough for the photos exposure so they would use prop stands to help people keep still. Children were easier to photography when they were sleeping because they struggled more than the adults.
Coral Scott yeah exactly! Half of these are not memento mori. The coffin one are
9 days after death. That must have been foul odor
Daphane Mcconnell not 9 days after her death though this one is a known fraud! Lol
They just look like they are asleep.
So sad to lose a child. I feel for the parents. Good music for this production.
Pourquoi autant d'enfants?
It used to be that a living room was for people to wait until they saw a deceased family member or friend in the room called parlor in a house
I agree...nothing cruel or morbid about these. Photography was expensive, and the photo was probably the only one of the deceased. Also, infant mortality was over 50% by the age of two years. If you are interested in post mortem photography, visit Thanato's Gallery. It is the largest collection of pm's.
Thanatos also has a lot of fake postmortem pictures. Just because someone had their eyes closed or were in a weird angle doesn’t mean they were dead. Many of these are people very much alive.
Videos of dead babies never get old, do they?
So many of them are small children and babies...so sad
so many look as if they could just be sleeping, on the verge of waking up. its so sad and spooky...
Because many of these ARE simply sleeping in these. Not all are postmortem in this collection.
Very very touching images!
Fantastic video my friend!
nice stuff!
I wonder what happened to them :/
Gabriela Rodrigues most of them passed due to a simple lack of medication back in that era they unfortunately didn't have the modern medicine we are blessed to have today
sad.......
me gusta mucho la música de fondo y no entiendo porque en esa Época fallecimiento de mucho s niños inocentes
ЖУТЬ!!!!!
Somtimes I wonder which one is dead.... e.g. 2:16.
I believe the girl in the middle was deceased, but it is hard to tell.
None of them.
If they are sitting up or standing, they are ALIVE when the picture was taken. The stands some claim held the dead are flimsy stands that wouldn’t hold dead weight. Think about trying to carry a sleeping child. Then multiply that weight by that of an adult. The stands ARE designed to help a fidgety kid stay posed. They are still used by some photographers. They were used by the family photographer we went to because I’m the youngest of ten and getting 12 people set for a picture was tough! Telling the little ones they had to stay in that stand made it more fun for us!
All Hail The Sacred Flame!
2:17 all look alive😟
the little girl posed with her dolls scared me. I guess the parents back then were made of sterner stuff. I couldn't hold my little baby and sit for a picture - I'd have to remember my child some other way. Customs have certainly changed.
غريب ان سكون هذا الامر حقيقي
