An excellent version of this Led Zeppelin classic recorded from the BBC's Johnny Walker radio programme sometime in the mid 90's.

Gomez Get Miles Later With Jools Holland
I remember seeing this performance at the time, I’d never heard of them, was just stunned. Seeing them live next week..
Seems so strange to see Robert with that hoop earring. Still one of my top five fave artists.
Great band ❤
Saw these on the liquid skin tour in Liverpool supported by Coldplay. Absolutely phenomenal live & the first two albums will be favourites of mine for life
this performance on TV was the first time I heard/saw Gomez. I remember thinking they looked just like any of my mates and then found out they’re actually from up the road from me. Mad watching this and rolling back the years
Saw these open with this in Southampton in 1999, going to see them on the accoustic tour next month, 25 years on. Time does me in.
Remember seeing this back then and going out and buying the CD the next day, Jools was on a Friday back then. Got the cover signed by them when they played in Dublin later that year. Vividly remember talking to Paul outside before the show about what pedal he used on Get Myself Arrested.
That just blew my fucken mind. That shows them as the bunch of normal looking dudes that were putting out something INCREDIBLE.
I saw Beck live a couple times during this period. Dude rocks.
@onanshand do you have the uncropped version by any chance?
before creating Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg played bass for Beck
You can't believe what it was like being 17 and seeing this weird little dipshit and his band of assholes suddenly appear on BBC2 like a fucking UFO visitation, we were all changed by it infinitely
Reminds me of better times in 90s. Miss them days so much. Remember seeing them in Nottingham, great band
Verified - great live!!
I remember this like it was yesterday ,what a show! i don,t think it will ever be topped, myself and my then girlfriend were 20, we are now 53 living in the west of Ireland,, married , Mortgaged, and still Happy! we have such fond Memories of that day, sitting atop the chipvan watching Paul McCartney and his late wife sing Hey jude, and of course who will ever forget the Finale! Pink Floyd,s sorrow on that night is still one of the highlights of my life, Sam Brown on Backing vocals,, i still have the ticket, 30 BANDS FOR 30 QUID! Y a won,t get that value today, Very happy memories of London in th 90,s i hope everyone that was there that day is well and happy in this crazy world we are living in now!
Love the waÿ he keeps his specs on when singing. No egos here. I have danced to this. More music in their little fingers... than most have in theis auto tuned bodies . Love Gomez ❤
My favourite robert albulm cause he was so alive and i love all the songs ❤and the feeling
Seen these guys loads of times
I will never forget being given a copy of Bring it on by a friend who thought i would love Gomez and they were absolutely right. That record is still one of my all time essential records and Get miles is one of the best songs Gomez ever wrote.
🕊️🙏🙌
Unfathomably cool.
Brilliant. I remember getting hold of a DJ promo copy of Bring it on' i didn't stop playing it.
Coolest geek in town ✊
Ty Chris for letting me hear this 1991 on his cd Walkman……thank CB
Saw them 98 doing Bring it On album at Leeds then couple of years later in Sheffield. Couple of times since. Fucking top live band. Gotta see them to appreciate them. That first album is a classic. So different to other arse end of “ Brit pop” shite. This was different gravy. This tune, Whipping Piccadilly , Tijuana Lady, Get Miles and Get Myself Arrested just a few. Not one shit tune on this album. Mental live back in day.
Nobody screams like Blixa.
Beck is a band , not 1 man .
The drummer on this performance is the best I've heard perform this song .
DOUG BOYLE IS A GREATGUITARIST EVERYONE WHO PLAY WITH ROBERT BECOME PRO LIAIRS DANCE GREAT BALLADS 33 YEARS AND STILL SOU D GREAT.....
LIARSDANCE WONT BE BACK AGAIN THAT WAS LEGEND ARE MADE OF ROBERT HE IS THE KING OF ROCK AND ROLL APART FROM ELVIS.....
They look so young here
2:58 PJ Harvey?
Yeah
My sons pointed me towards these guys seen them at t in tha park with them,,,pure stone grunge,,,
tnx to whoever put this track in dr-house tv series - a great band
I absolutely love this song... And the stage presence and showmanship is beyond awesome!
This could only be Ozzy I don't see other way around!!
Bass player's awesome!!!
This album was the soundtrack to kickin' it once and for all and recovering back in '98. There isn't a single dud on the whole album. Press play...set to Re-play...relax in my Lay-Z-Boy and think about all the best things. Free to Run, have fun, and enjoy life. Gracias Gomez.
Yeah except I wasn’t recovering in 98. That’s when the drugs didn’t become funny anymore. Well from 94 up to 2022. What an album. Always have a listen. Went to see them in Leeds at Uni I think it was in 98 when i was 24. Then again at Sheffield with Mrs. They were incredible. All different and mad instruments and swapping. Samples of Michael Jackson played into tunes. What a night that was. A cult following but our secret. Bring it on one of my favourite all time albums. The troubles on drugs, My now separated wife but an 11 year old lad. Enjoyed my life. Yeah not a shite tune on there. Tijuana Lady, This, Here comes the breeze, Get Myself arrested my favourites on here.
@neilmoore5387 they play the Town and Country club in Leeds about ‘98 - ‘99. My bro introduced them to my ears at Glasto’ 98 and then I saw them at the TaCC a few months later.
@@luckysticks Yes that’s where I saw them as I say when they were touring the Bring it On album. I couldn’t remember if Uni or Town and Country. It was T & C! Nice one. They are one unbelievable live band.
Miles away of the speed, quality, and tone of the album sound (mostly the special effects, the drumming pace, the snare snapping sound, well…everything really 🤷🏻♂️) But that was ok, I guess, for a 1997 live, it’s acceptable. But the album sound, holly sh*t much much MUCH BETTER 🤷🏻♂️
Forever in my top 5 albums, the flashbacks 😁😅
Fuking beautiful
NADIE ES MAS GRANDE QUE ROBERT PLANT.....
Pure class
This great song brings back good memories 😁
Two blues legends!
One of the best voices in musical history. Heard Gomez before ever seeing a performance and imagined the singer looking totally different. Brilliant band. Helped me through tough times and good.
me too
What a wonderful day that was ............. so many great bands
This reminds me of my last semester in college. Weed, headphones, and nothing but hope and the rest of my life ahead of me. I miss it so.
Erb, music and hope will get you through a lot of Shyte sir. Peace.
Ha, hope and the rest of my life ahead of me…live it love it ..
This broadcast was what introduced me to Eric Bibb. 23 years later I’ve worked with him.
Academy, Oxford Road 98, before the Mercury Prize, one of the best gigs ever.
