Sometimes, it is not possible to go back into the mix and fix these issues. 10dB dynamic attenuation is a lot, but I don't recall somewhere mentioning that it is okay to do that on the final master below 50HZ 😅. On these settings with such a wide Q i wouldn't go over 5dB changes. I hope I cleared things up 🙌

In this technique that I used if you watched the video, I mention that you can go and open the Q a little bit when you are attenuating and not have it 100% narrow to make the cut a little bit smoother. But this would be a big issue if I didn’t use dynamic eq and linear phase mode. I would NEVER use these narrow cuts if my eq didn’t have dynamic eq and linear phase mode.

Normally I don't reply to comments like this but here we go... I used linear phase mode on high to eliminate phase shifts and dynamic EQ for attenuation to ensure precision and transparency. If you're hearing phasing, it's not coming from my EQ settings-linear phase literally prevents phase shifts. Where exactly do you think the issue is? Also, calling my EQ settings 'contrary to common sense' without providing any technical explanation that applies to my video is baseless. Please back up your claim with specifics before commenting next time...

Yes and no… it depends on what kind of music. Big scores for movies or EDM music for example have A LOT of channels.

No it did not work like this, i changed so many different settings and tried it so many times before making this video. Play a long note on the piano, hold it, and then you will see that whatever settings you have it will come back to 0 but the audio will still be audible. If you have both plugins, give it a try and you will see it by yourself.

They are good but they are open back. If you record vocals with them, the mic will possibly pick a lot of sound coming out of them.

Hi, I was thinking to make a course on Final Cut Pro about editing audio for podcast because it is a popular demand. What DAW are you using?

@@AudioWavesAcademy. I use Premiere Pro and recently started exploring Logic Pro for Music Production & for audio post-production. It'll be great if the course doesn't restrict itself to one NLE and/or DAW. My assumption is that there are more Premiere Pro users out there than Final Cut.

@@reyals66 Yeah you are right about the Premier Pro thing but I don't use Premier. Maybe I might think about something in logic but with 3rd party plugins. :D

If you are just composing and not recording, you can work with the headphones that you bought. I had the k701 and I sold them because I had a lot audio coming out and the mic was capturing them(open ear headphones). In general I was satisfied

The difference if you listen carefully is by 8:20, there the vocals become more present when I enable the plugins. I used this technique to eliminate distractions from the highs and lows from the track because, as I explained at the beginning, the whole magic happens in the middle and this technique really helps a lot to focus there. I hope I cleared things up a little bit :D

@@AudioWavesAcademy. I don't know. Maybe it's just my headphones filtering out certain frequencies. Maybe I'll need an upgrade to some better headphones.

What is wrong? Bypassing the plugin before mastering? This is an old school trick that is still being used until today.
