51.3 and she made it look like a training run. She needs to run less, though. In Paris, she was clearly leg weary by the 400m hurdles after her astonishing run in the mixed relay. She can take at least another second off that time if she gets her preparation right.

Aus dem Leistungssport wurde vor über 15 Jahren die Politik daraufhingewiesen dass Deutschland im internationalen Vergleich in Zukunft weniger bedeutend sein wird als zuvor: Gründe ab dem 11 Lebensjahr beträgt für Gymnastisten und Studenten der wöchentliche Arbeitsaufwand 40 bis 50,teilweise bis 60 Std allein durch die Bildungsreform: 8 statt 9 Jahre bis zum Abi,Profiloberstufe statt Studienstufe, Bachelor und Masterstudiengänge,marode Sportstätten ,abends kaum Sportstätten für die Jugend(Seniorensport) weniger finanzielle Unterstützung in den Lebenshaltungskosten für Sportler utzige nd Trainer insbesondere Bundestrainer und A und B Kader Sportler als in den Konkurrenzländern...Kati Witt fasste es damals zusammen für das Eiskundtlaufen ,trifft aber auf die meisten Sportarten zu: die Trainingseinheiten ,die man in seiner Jugend nicht leistet holt man nie wieder auf um später im Medaillienkampf dabeisein zu können....wie gesagt damals haben auchbwir Sportwissenschaftler und Trainer die Politik vergeblich darauf hingewiesen ,das ist die Ernte.Jeder aktuelle Hochleistungssportler verdient unter diesen Rahmenbedingungen meinen allerhöchsten Respekt,der es in einen internationalen Endkampf geschaft hat

But she failed so stupidly at the Olympics, the only medal she shouldn't miss was the silver one, and she missed it, no random ! Yes Sydney isn' t very kind and never smile, but she wins because she doesn't waste her time neither energy, she keeps strait on to her goal !
