Heroes (The original) has to make a comeback. It's sooo underrated man.

We will, sadly, wait for the S4 DVD - we don't do streaming. Eff those companies, that strip content we grew up watching for free, that is, for the price of ignoring the commercials, from all outlets we might otherwise see them. They've corralled them up, put them on their pay streams, where we pay to get a subscription to their streaming farm, then pay again for the actual content from inside the stables, all while they show us commercials, that we're also paying them for us to watch too... they can kiss our fuzzy sock puppet rears! It's like, we LOVE the Orville so so much. But, we hate and resent getting bent over and told to like it, that much more so. They don't get our money. We keep the money and use it for things like, more physical media. We already have all the Classic Trek in our Library, we can watch when we want, as often as we want, and it never costs more than buying the discs, AND, it's nobody's business what we watch how much when... the only way to fight them for change, is - Do not participate, Do not enable them.

Oh man, this comes in perfect timing, now that I'm back to working on some personal Heroes projects. Even after Breaking Bad, Heroes is still my top 1 tv show ever, despite knowing at least 25 others that I love and know are critically better, but Heroes is that one personal favorite, and I was always obssessed with Mohinder's voiceovers, if you search the entire internet, yes the ENTIRE intervet, videos and blogs, you will NOT find the complete narrative like I have both on text and video. And the reason I said I'm back to it is because 3 days ago, I've finally found the LAST voiceover from a S1 deleted scene, so now I'm working on a 90-minutes long video with footage from all seasons but focused on Mohinder's voiceovers and original score. Now about these news, problem is, Reborn was complete garbage! So if you've read all I've written above, you'll see why a true fan thinks this of Reborn. So anything like it will make me hate Eclipse probably even more than Reborn, because at least some actors were there and Mohinder had some lazy, poorly written new voiceovers there :) I don't know how to resume this given the original actor's ages, and I'm not against new characters as long as they aren't as ridiculous as everyone in Reborn, yes, that includes Zachary Levy, which is a great actor, so it only goes to show how bad Reborn was that the actors didn't even care. Seems like they took the "ordinary people" theme way too seriously and hired complete amateurs, that combined with terrible script and uninteresting powers, and you can clearly understand why Reborn has flopped. I just finished editing all seasons and to use Mohinder's voiceovers from Reborn WITH VIDEO FOOTAGE is painful, because I have to include that trash tv show that should've never been Born in the first place. Fingers crossed that Heroes: Eclipsed will be at least a bit better, the name is already pretty good, so that gives me hope!

No offence intended, but can I suggest you tone down the melodrama in your vocals? It's a bit too much for my taste. Sorry.

If the show had stayed on broadcast YV rather than moving to streaming The Lovely Bride and I would still be interested in it. However, we don't stream ANYTHING so we kind of don't care anymore. If it were to return to commercial TV, we might give it a try again.

Change everything? What like actually make it make use of its setting in an original way and not embarrass itself trying to copy Star Trek the next generation and finally BE entertaining. Not a fan as you can probably tell but I do have hope they will ditch the rose tinted hey 90s star trek era glasses and be something original.

The main thing it needs to change is runtime, needs to go back to 30 minute episodes, last season episodes were to long and I almost stopped watching multiple times due to it being to long for the story the episode was telling, it just dragged

The Orville is such a great sci-fi series. On the other side kurtzman´s garbage is the worst TV material ever produced.

I love the show, but I am afraid the biggest surprise regarding season 4 will be when it will finally be aired... I fear it will be measured in years...

I won't be alive in the 25th century (unless you believe in reincarnation I guess) but I strongly believe that when the era of this show arrives we won't have interstellar travel. The show is only 4 centuries (approximately, I don't know the exact dates) in the future and it took over half a century to get from the invention of airplane to astronaut in orbit and that was nearly 2 thirds of a century ago and the best we have done with human exploration is putting a few people on the moon for a few days and an astronaut trip to Mars is probably decades in the future. On those time scales there is no way we can travel hundreds or thousands of light years in 400 years. If this level of space travel ever happens (a big if) it is probably several THOUSAND years in the future.

At one extreme you have total comedy (Red Dwarf and Hitchhickers Guide to Galaxy or Earth Girls are Easy are good examples). At the other extreme you have 100 percent serious with no comic relief. Blake's 7 or (admittedly not science fiction) Law and Order are examples. This show is almost perfectly right in the middle ground as it has serious issues and certain parts of the story are pretty serious but it also is part comedy, a science fiction "dramedy". Straight comedies eventually run out of ways to still seem funny without being repetitive and shows that are too serious tire the audience out. This show with the perfect balance between those 2 extremes will keep audiences interested much longer.

The show has already been canceled. This is just wishful thinking.
